Awesome job it takes a special woman to be a truck driver wife mom and whatever other hats you hold. I could never do your job as a full-time dump truck driver. I will always love my flatbed because that is what I know
That was nice of you to help the other driver and give him some tips. Everyone needs to learn it sometimes. The guy loading your truck is an awesome operator on the excavator. Good video :)
Great video. I've got to hand it to you. For someone who has been working for 12 hours straight you look as great as when you started. Keep up the hard work and stay safe out there 🙏.
I love watching all your videos you are very good at driving your dump truck with trailers on you get that dump truck in anywhere with that trailer no matter what looking forward to seeing a lot more plus you never get your truck stuck in the middle videos that's a good driver
I live in North Carolina just west of Charlotte. I wonder why I don't see anyone using those dump trailers. Until I started watching your channel I'd never seen anyone use them. You're great. Be safe
Hauled lots of broken asphalt in my day, but I had steel boxes. Some of the last I hauled before retirement was from Lakewood High School to Granite, Smith Island. I hauled some huge chunks from Bellingham Airport to Granite, Singer Pit. Dealt a lot with Granite, either hauling in crushed or hot mix out.
Hi kiddo just finished watching your video was awesome and you’re professional back up the truck driving in tight areas and as always you and your families be safe 🇺🇸🇺🇸
That’s you funny mentioned checking after you get done.I does this too. One time I didn’t and there was half of the load of old concrete still stuck in the noes of the trailer. 🤦♂️
Is that a Demo box? That is cool no matter what . My truck strictly grinding and asphalt and rock and sand a super dump with training wheels Lol light weight box Rogue 🤣👍
At least they had the courtesy to break it up before loading you. Here they pretty much however it comes up is how it goes on the truck, I've had a lot of slabs that are 12 inches thick and 8 feet across by 16 feet long of asphalt, pretty much like hauling concrete slabs.
I've hauled worse in an aluminum body. One time I hauled something called chrome ferrules, and they left huge dents in the floor. Even with diesel fuel on the floor in the winter, everything stuck after that. The stuff must have been heavy because it the loader didn't even drop a full bucket, and tri-axles in PA are rated for 73,280. But the boss said to haul it.......
That's what I have on this damn truck I drive it's a 7 axle Kenworth w900 four drop axles aluminum box I can put 25 tons in there I don't haul big pieces of broken-up concrete or asphalt
Getting a gentle operator is the key However even smaller chunks like that will put scratches into the aluminum box makes the sticky dirt not come out as well for a little while A few loads of crushed rock will smooth it back up. I get it though you got to take on the work for the growing business and maintenance and truck payments
From the looks of it they were busting it up good if that guy had a machine with a thumb he would have been loading bigger chunks. We would have seen you running around wigging out because the load jammed up 😝 You going to meet up with Dirt Perfect Mike and Let’s Dig 18 Christopher at ConExpo at the Volvo booth.
what an odd way of loading, over here we mostly load from the side and give a sting until the EO honks his horn honkin twice means "done", if more than that you have to make contact.
That asphalt is nothing around here we get 4 foot square pieces stacked up level on the sides sometimes having to shake it out. In our pit the size of the pitrun going to the mill sites will approach 10 inches across and they will sometimes bounce when going in.
You sound like a good hard working girl, I hope your meet and greet goes well. It's a bit far for me to see you lol I am in the UK have you ever been here.
If you go on google maps street view you might be able to see what was there Up in Washington you guys call it T and T down here in Southern California we call it truck and pup but you don't see a whole lot of them anymore
really stupid question for ya: once the pup is empty and you're steering it 'out of the way' of the truck's load, how do you know when to stop the jack-knife? it can't be easy, it's not like the pivot point is between the drivers...
Have you ever thought of putting vibration on your boxes we run them on ours and it makes all the difference in the world for helping clean the box we also run the high lift gate which is nice for the lumpy stuff.
You got to be careful when hauling truck and pup that you don't damage your brakes or the reach when backing to dump your truck. I can't tuck my reach all the way under when I dump my truck because I will damage the truck. We also have brackets added to the back of our trucks for the chip spreader to hook onto that will bend the reach if we jacknife too much. Interesting you have to shut your PTO off. While we have a PTO switch, it doesn't do anything. Our trucks are spec'd with a live PTO on them. I've never been in a situation where I've covered my reach so bad that I couldn't pull away. I enjoy hauling truck and pup. Don't get to do it very often though.
I wouldn't call it putting anyone on blast, I'd call it "Helping a fellow dumper". I'd be very grateful if another driver gave me tips and helping me if they saw me in a rut.
Well I thunk fresh tarmac would be worse as it leaves hard to get off tar in your dump bed. So broken up tarmac has to be a better load choice as easier clean up after.
Fresh asphalt doesn't leave a mess. When we get to the plant we spray our boxes down prior to them loading the asphalt. Same with the pavers and all the tools. The pavers and tools get sprayed down with diesel since asphalt won't stick to it. But the plant uses some other solution for environmental reasons.
I'd rather not with an aluminium body, but most UK ally bodies are double skinned insulated bodies, normally used for hot asphalt (road work) or gravel.
Yup, the old Las Margaritas, Schuck's (aka O'Reillys now) and Woodinville Athletic Club used to be there. Woodinville has certainly changed since I moved there in 1987.
@@DauminiqueTheDumpTruckDriver we had them in all of our Sturdy Weld boxes. Nice when you are hauling waste with lots of clay, slides out easier. Not so good if you haul hot asphalt.
I am from nj and I have never seen a tag along dump trailer. I know in the regular dump trucks they run on a pto and I am curious how do you function the pub trailer?
I’m sure they do there, here in Alaska it’s hauled to a plant and ground down they add the oil etc back and reuse it, we have several batch plants spread all Over. it’s called RAP “recycled asphalt.” Folks cap their driveways with it and parking pads etc around here. It’s a nice finished product when done right.

Every state is different with dumps used to live in NC they go by length and axles
NC you need an overweight permit over 80k pounds and then can only go to 94.5K max. In Washington my truck is registered for 105,500k pounds.
Sure is beautiful in that part of Washington. I've been there thousands of times!

Morning!
I like the quartry yard and it is a good, thing to, get out and truck as well.
From Thomas I got to cope get tough and work hard for my cash
Yes I would haul it in fact I have just have the loader put some small rubble on the bottom to soften the blow of the big asphalt
Girl you handle that thing like you have been driving for thirty years.
At 6:53 that blue ladder looks fine to use,it is a shame what gets thrown out in this country food too.

Our boxes are aluminum also but with the vibrators it makes huge difference
FN1ST !!! 🆒 VIDEO DAUMINIQUE!!!
You forgot to mention wedged between the box and the gate...made that mistake a few times...🙈
Asphalt is softer than Aluminum so yes I would haul it.

Usely we put a little dirt in the bottom first then the broken asphalt or concrete
The recycle center wont take it it there is dirt in it
Good thing it’s not 12 to 24” rip rap. Hot top isn’t bad. But rip rap hold when they load that shit. Be safe out there
I wish I was in Washington State next week to do a meet and greet with u Dominique but I live in texas
I'll be a ConExpo in Las Vegas
That's still too far for me to drive just to meet you in person
I’m curious, how the the reach lock ? Is there a friction pad that applies pressure against the reach ? Or are there pin holes that lock ?
You have to fix that typo. Aluminum is not dumb, IME.

Asphalt millings in a aluminum bed ...yep but no dig out
It has a steel floor

What do you charge per hour as an O/O? What’s your mpg usually with all the starting and stopping?
Rates change depending on fuel. $170-$220 an hour truck and trailer.
You had to tell the guy to move the asphalt....is this a joke?
Your truck sounds like it has a Cummins engine is that right.
No, its a CAT
@@DauminiqueTheDumpTruckDriver oh really sounds similar
I thought that ferling dump site got shut down is it still open
Thats JEV, it was purchased by Cadman last year.
That stuff isn't that big, kind of like rip rap with fines in it.
You have plywood on the sides, and with a good loader operator it is fine.
What is the most loads you carried in one day
I have no idea
Can anybody tell me if it’s a good idea to put hot mix (asphalt) in a aluminum trailer please ?
