  • Single Axel training on my inline skates. I have a ton of issues with my form, but in the video I do my best to fix a couple at a time. Next week expect a new and improved axel form.

    Let's goooo!
    After watching your video. Your rotations are there, is the preparation for the landing that is not there yet. Seems like you are not presenting the correct foot for the landing. You're so close dude!!
    Wearing full protection really helps taking the fear factor down. My worst fear is to have the rotation wrong, kicking my skate against the floor in the wrong time and land on my head. I once had such experience while learning 3 turns. I like trying each parameter and see what's good/bad so I threw the arms hard the wrong way and ended in a situation where I didn't know where the floor was until I hit my side. Wasn't bad but could be a lot worse.

      I agree, the way my feet are positioned in the air make it impossible to land on one foot correctly. I’ve got a lot of technical work and muscle memory to develop for that. And I actually am wearing knee pads in these videos usually, that’s the only part I’m afraid of beating up. Thanks for the feedback!

      Hey I forgot, check out the Storelli head guard. That's what I use and is not like a full helmet.

      @@SolidSkatesgreat! I’m waiting for my inline skates to come in the mail but I recommend trying to practice a hop through so you can drill the landing on one foot after spinning. The axel reminds me of a one foot spin for shuffling if you have seen or done that before since you have to cross one foot in front and spin/pivot before stepping back down which could help with the snap too🤞

      @@ashuri8184 ooh what skates did you get? No maybe I’ll have to learn some shuffling 😅

      @@SolidSkates I got the FR3 80 black since they come with the Rockerable frame so I’m excited! What skates do you have? I learned shuffling before I learned skating lol here’s a vid that sort of is what I mean by the shuffle spin ruclips.net/video/AjkyA0DUS-8/видео.htmlsi=7XEugRN1NlcrhaQd at the end you can exaggerate the step down to be out for landing it’s really fun since you can either flow or do combos

    Hey dude, I have been lurking here for a while now, and I just wanted to say, that I think it’s SO cool what you’re doing! Combing ice skating with inline skating is just such a perfect idea. Have you ever tried to spin??

    • @SolidSkates
      @SolidSkates  3 месяца назад +1

      Thanks!! Spinning is kind of my weakness, I can do a two foot spin semi decently, but a one foot spin is extremely difficult without a toe stop because you have to balance perfectly in one wheel. Let me know if you have any video or skating tips/suggestions, I love the feedback!

      Ah went back and watched your video number 6, you did spin! Very nice. It seems super hard to do on ground instead of ice.
