I've never understood why people lay the wood grains in different directions moving from one room to another the way they've done it... *IN A FIVE MILLION DOLLAR HOME!!!* I've seen numerous remodels in Asheville where they've done this. Like the kitchen floors lay one direction and the adjoining dining room goes in another. One house (at just shy of $1 Million) has the wood going in two different directions in the primary bedroom! I don't get it. Every "floor guy" I've ever talked to has stressed the importance of the grain all being laid in the same way. To each their own, I suppose, but with the wonky floors and no pool or amenities $5 mil seems quite high!
