I have always been a big fan of NC mountain-style homes. I think that they can best be described as understated elegance. Nothing gaudy - Nothing that says "look at me". Just class and style. I think that this home would also fit nicely in Utah and Colorado mountain living.
I haven't been to Asheville in decades. And Western North Carolina is absolutely breathtaking. Unfortunately, all of my relatives who lived there are now gone. I need to visit!
Nice house, but, definitely woukd make a few changes, i.e. animal heads and/or antlers hanging on the walls. Would like to have some of those E.H. Taylor tubes in the downstairs bar!!
Yes, there are two closets in the primary suite. To respect the owner’s privacy, we opt not to show them in occupied homes. But trust me - they were just as lovely as the rest of the home.
Nice property, but as a fledgling interior designer, I’d make a few adjustments: pot filler over the range (in a home of this caliber it should be standard) and I would have installed windows with frames black on the exterior and white on the interior. The black frames on the interior seem out of place in the bright interior of the house.
Nice home BUT PLEASE: Your camera work makes one feel like they are on the Titanic! With all your swooshes and pans and close up shots of refrigerator logos and cabinet handles. Please purchas a handheld Gimble or other device which attaches to the camera and makes your shots smooth like a steadicam. It will stop making viewers seasick. You are better served to use just wide shots and medium shots -- viewers just want to get an overview of the shole house. If they are interested, they will come tour the home, that's when they can look closely at door knobs, cabinet handles and refrigerator logos.
I know interior designers struggle with televisions. I love the new Samsung The Frame that displays aesthetically pleasing art when the tv is not in use. Thanks for watching and I appreciate the feedback.
