As Jupiter's original owner, I'm so glad she got to spend her last years in such a wonderful place and that she's continuing to educate people even now. She was such a good program snake for me, and kids loved her. Well, everyone loved her. And reading through the comments here, it looks like she touched many more hearts than I ever would have thought possible.

@MearaLee-fc9cs when my parents moved states they couldn't keep her and I wasn't allowed to have snakes in my apartment, so we found her another home. I guess he seriously overfed her and then gave her to SD for some reason. I missed her every day and will even more now, but I'm glad she made it to Emily and Ed instead of staying with that other guy.

Very sad to hear the news but I'm happy you let Brad live for a bit longer and I hope you gave her all the love in the world in that time 💕
I know someone suggested this last time there was a video like this but I really hope you have a memorial place somewhere in the shop or the zoo for all the animals that have passed. It'd be such a lovely thing to keep their memory going.

It's so sad Brad wasn't able to live into her twenties, but she made it through 3 surgeries and had been battling cancer for a while. You always do everything you can and work with a great vet to provide the best medical care possible. Brad had a great life at Snake Discovery and it was just her time to go. She was such a big part of the family and I'm sure she'll be remembered fondly by many fans.
As for Jupiter, she was old and her system just couldn't recover from general anesthesia. It happens, it's very normal. You tried your best. She was such an impressive animal - a massive sweetheart in very sense of the word. She will be missed, too.

@@angiemercer9006I lost both of my cats two months apart this year. I just have 1 of my original 3. We rescued a barn kitty last month, so I have 2, but it won’t be the same. And I think one of my dogs is on her last leg. She’s 9, but she’s been slowing down even more than she normally is. She’s been acting old since she was 2 (aka barely an adult) but she’s just been older recently. Spending her days just napping, not getting into trouble or running around. 2023 has been such a harsh year for many people. Many Internet cats have passed this year, I lost two of my own, and my neighbour lost his to cancer. Only thing I can say is that you can get used to death, it doesn’t mean it hurts any less, but you definitely get used to it. It was mentioned in the adoptathon stream that it was Bradley's last couple of days but it doesn't make things any easier. Brad and Jupiter really lived their best lives with Snake Discovery and that's all we, as viewers/fans, can ask for. I know it still hurts deeply though. I lost my furry sidekick, my dog, April 13, 2021 and I miss her every day. I wear a necklace with her photo and a small amount of her ashes to keep her with me all the time. All the fuzzy, scaley, feathered, and smooth(? hairless? 🤔) babies sure do leave their mark on your heart!

I'm sorry for your losses. I know Brad was one of the OG snakes. Cancer sure stinks. One of my dogs had bone cancer and had to put him him down in April 2020. Trying to find a vet at that point was hard enough. Then his brother had a massive seizure 5 months later and we lost him too. Losing pets after having them for 13+ years is devastating.

I'm really behind on my videos, so I'm sorry I'm only getting to this now. You are fantastic keepers and you show your love and care for all of your animals every day. This is one of the reasons that makes your channel such a joy to watch even in the hardest of times. I'm struggling through my own grief as well as I had to put my 15 year old dog down about a month ago. I had been hoping she would make it to her 16th birthday in May, but it was her time to go. I'm glad I still had her for another Christmas and that my brother got to see her in decent health before he went back home. She had been with me almost half my life and I raised her from a 2 month old puppy. My sweet cuddlebug. She'd been sick for a year and a half as her health gradually deteriorated and I had to keep track of all of her various medicines and hand feed her an assortment of foods to keep her eating. I kept fighting for her despite the emotional stress and monetary costs since she was still showing that she enjoyed her treats, and her snuggles and still had stretches of time where she was acting like her silly self, just a bit slower. During the cold snap/winter snows in January, her health tanked, and I had to start seriously considering if her quality of life had just deteriorated too far. After a particularly bad night, the vet told me she maybe had a week to live and I should begin making arrangements. I wasn't able to get her to eat after that vet visit, and the next day she had a seizure and was not herself anymore. I took her to the vet, and made the decision to give her peace after such a long fight. Pets really are such a big part of all of our families and I'm sure you're missing your scale babies as much as I'm missing my furry one (even if she had been starting to go bald in the end days). My lizards (2 leopard geckos - 1 an APTOR morph I bought from a breeder and the other a rescue - and an African Fat Tail Gecko) have been helping me to cope, but it just isn't the same. I know it's been a few months, but my thoughts and prayers go out to you and your team, and for all who are caring for the sick and elderly in their lives. I'm doing ok, and I do plan to get another dog again in the future, I'm just taking some time off of dog owning to do all of the things I wasn't able to do while I'd been caring for her.
