These cops deserve criminal charges for this.
That's kind of a light sentence for the cops. I would argue they need something more serious to discourage this type of behavior in the future. I think something more akin to what the cops do to family pets would be more appropriate.
They do deserve criminal charges but good luck getting them. (And it is next to impossible for cops to be convicted.)
These cops deserve to be putted 6ft under for that
They need to be put away for years and never be able to work for us again!!!
charge them as Nazis - make a law
Officer: “Leave. Leave”
Guy: complies
Officer: pulls gun and screams “STOP!! STOP!!!”
Seems reasonable
Had to rewatch it twice because I couldn't believe that shii 😂
The man should have anticipated their mood swings. Officers are always right. Just ask them.
Tasers him to get him in the car, then immediately orders him out of the car.
Don't forget "do what you're told" and then one yells move and the other one says stay there
I'm disgusted with those liar cops...violently harming citizens
Update: The two main officers involved with Espinoza's illegal arrest were fired a few weeks ago. The same day a judge turned down their motion to drop the federal lawsuit. Just about everyone involved with Espinoza's legal team, third party investigators, and even the dept's Undersheriff all agree a criminal lawsuit should be filed as well - and likely will be.
States have passed to many law that make it to easy for police to behave like this.all the people have to protect us from this is the constitution which means very little to police. We need law that make it easy for the people to hold police accountable
@@richardbowe2063 the constitution never stopped a bad cop or a crooked DA.
They straight up assaulted and kidnapped this man. This is grounds for jail time
Trujillo shot and killed a man while on duty in October of 2017. According to his background, he should have lost his certification after a prior conviction and domestic violence restraining orders since 2006 and 2007 which makes it illegal to own a firearm.

What did these officers want from this man?

Dominance.
They're predators, this is what they do, they prey on victims. Remember, this is the chance you take any time you interact with law enforcement.

Omg. The way they brutalized this older gentleman I can't believe this. This was so disgusting and sick. The blood in his mouth. The usage of the taser. The way they dragged him across the snow. He was exhausted and ganged up on and jumped by freaks pointing guns in his face and freaking out. Every time he tried to explain they didn't listen to him. Every time they gave an order and he went to comply he was brutalized even further. Literally what do you even do? He didn't know wtf to do anymore.
How can you be a cop with a history of domestic violence? That's a disqualifier for firearms ownership, part of the job.
Buddy look up “40% of cops” you will be SURPRISED. 😂

If you look at the statistics a police officer is almost more likely to be a domestic abuser.
Omg I didn’t even think of that!!

Never doubt a cops ability to make a problem out of absolutely nothing
They exist to justify their own existence. They violate rights and then get together and brag how tough they are when people can't fight back. When someone is willing (think Uvalde) to fight back then they are not so tough.
"anything you say can be used against you" the keyword is "anything"
They are on a never ending power trip. It’s scary.
“Never give them a reason to stop you, never talk to them without a good reason.” Best words of advice my fathers ever given me. I got in a lot of trouble in my youth, whether I’m a good person now or a better criminal is up to you.
Leave!
Come back!
Get out of your vehicle whilst I hold and twist your arm through the window!
Get these cuffs on!
Get in the police car!
Get out of the police car!
Get up after I've forced you to the ground!
Get back in the police car!
Meanwhile, the entire time he was complying, he ended up bleeding in the short time it took them to take him from his vehicle to theirs.
The fact that he needed emergency services after being with that cop and without body cam footage just speaks volumes about that corrupt cop.
What in Hell is wrong with these cops??!! My God. The man did no wrong. These cops are taking out some kind of personal problems they may be living with. Very aggressive. This program an eye opener. Thank you for bringing it.
That officer had four restraining orders active during this time, two of which were domestic in nature, as well as six criminal charges violent in nature. He wasn't supposed to be legally allowed a firearm.
@@bluedistortions that probably because he was a Felon at that point, and you know the Firearm Law on that. Thanks for responding. I belong to Law Enforcement Agency and we really are blessed to have good officers. Always a few rotten apples in Barrel to be sorted out.

They seemed like sadist to me. They were not satisfied until they were positive he was hurt.
This is insane. I hope they all got fired and they go to jail.
They won't
I know both parties. This was all staged and shared the money after the police department settled the lawsuit. It's one of the easiest way to extort the city.
I firmly believe that if a police officer turns his body camera off during an encounter he or she should be fired on the spot.
They should make that a law.
In the law suit world that would count against him in a law suit for sure. It gives more credibility to the victim. Remember law suit victories are won with just a sliver of proof if evidence was destroyed or prevented.
It should be a Felony.....preventing them from working on any other force again. And immediate termination.
Name one good reason a body camera should be turned off during an interaction? There isn't any good reason. It only gets shut off to hide crime, corruption, and ill intentions these tyrants don't want recorded. It should be treated as DESTROYING EVIDENCE and be a Felony so officers know not to do it. Consequences need to be severe enough to combat this action of turning a camera off
Absolutely. Unless it can be proven that it was a mechanical failure, the so called officer should be punished.
Start with taking away some of their money, and go all of the way to relieving them of their position.
Peace
While normally departments have a policy against turning off the body camera. Digital camera have many known issues. There are a lot of out side factors that can cause them to stop recording. User might even notices your body camera stopped recording inform their supervisor to get a replacement while on duty. A replacement may not be available to them for the rest of your shift. Body cameras are a great tool but do to user error, deliberate actions, and failures out of the users control. No one could say for sure with out an investigation as to what happened and fire them one the spot.
"Leave! Leave!" Guy starts driving away. "Stay! Stay!"
These cops are morons. Fire all of them.
I know right?!? I was like make up your mind, bud. Does he leave or stay? pick one...

Also cop: Pulls his arm through the window so he cannot get out of the car.
Better yet, disband the entire department.
Cop: “GET IN THE CAR RIGHT NOW!!!!!!”
Also Cop: “GET OUT OF THE CAR, WE HAVE TO SEARCH YOU!!!!!!”
Like literally every step of the way they were just self defeating. It’s actually embarrassing that they kept making problems for themselves and acting like the only sane guy there was the problem.
@CVSoprano ikr? I was wondering what they wanted him to do there as well
Poor guy :( I'd feel so powerless after shit like that happening to me. I hope he wins the lawsuit, gets the cops fired, and gets a nice sum of money out of it

I genuinely can't comprehend what was happening in that cop's brain. They argue with the man to leave, he finally starts to leave. Literally two seconds later, as he is leaving, the cop has some kind of breakdown and aggressively starts shouting to stay. Pulls a gun and points it at his head. They start screaming at him for trying to leave a traffic stop?

These guys are THE DEFINITION of "thugs with badges"!
Man as a police officer myself, this is an embarrassment. These mfs are unhinged and should not legally be able to carry guns or enforce law. They created this whole situation, doused it in gasoline, lit the fire, and continued to pour gas on it. There was nothing wrong with making contact and finding out why he was there. But after that, with him being that far back, there was no reason to try and force him to leave and flex their badge muscles. Pathetic display of police work.
Exactly this. Hell, I wouldnt have even bothered to make contact. With how far back he was parked, it doesnt scream officer safety to me. LT could easily have just posted up a little back from the truck without even making contact and just observed while he did some paperwork or whatever and everything would have been a-ok.
It's good to see this comment, I think it's important. I hate how so many people believe all police are like this, all because the brain prioritizes the bad stuff they see and ignore the good cops like you. For every one of these power-tripping bad cops there's 50 good ones.

Sickening and criminal.
Zero consideration for whether the guy might've had a heart condition even before those outrageous actions.
These particular cops need to be fired and doing time and previous cases involving them reviewed where appropriate.
This is the worse case of cops thinking they're in charge of the world, they're on a massive power trip....They both need jailing...This is disgusting.
Jail yes but what they really need is to never be allowed to be cops again not even mall cops
Some cops hate the world as much as they hate all human beings. Some are frustrated that they cannot murder everyone they encounter with impunity.

Life imprisonment for cops who act like this.

This man did NOTHING to interfere with the traffic stop and should never have been approached. Cop ego kills!
Breathless from a missed opportunity to needlessly take out an innocent citizen, sad
This is exactly why there is no trust in law enforcement.
"F the police" was written because of these Fers. You could even argue pigs like these are indirectly responsible for antifa and blm terrorism. They are the drop of truth that is stretched out into an ocean of lies by marxists.
I dunno the fact that they are wearing body cameras, and that the police are being checked gives me hope compared to when there were no cameras.

Cops stall the release of body cam video, edit it, cover their cameras, turn off their mics, or turn off the cameras all together in the middle of an interaction. And nothing happens to them.
Cops get fired and start working at a different department 10 minutes away. Cops murder, harass, and pillage the public with impunity.

This might be the most disgusting behavior I’ve seen yet. Just plain awful. These cops shouldn’t just be fired, they should be charged and thrown in prison for this behavior and conduct.
Unfortunately you need to keep looking because this is terrible but there's so much worse, bad officers with bad intentions all over. Not all but way too many and not being held accountable enough
I don't know...the pigs who allowed a woman to be hit by a train after leaving her in a car across a train track displayed pretty appalling behavior. Or the swine who attacked an 18 year old girl after she had an argument with her 17 year old boyfriend, then beat her dad for protesting their behavior, AND kicked the family's dog around because it was barking at the pigs assaulting the girl. And both of those events happened in Colorado, too.
Seems to me, Colorado has a lot of shitty pigs.

100% agree, giving conflicting orders like this is also obviously the police officers fault. can't follow their order if they change their minds all the time
They need a dirt nap.
We need to start holding police both criminally and civilly accountable to a higher degree than anyone else whenever they abuse their power and break the law.
As soon as they operate outside the confines of the law they deserve no special privileges but rather greater punishment.
Knowingly unlawfully arresting someone = kidnapping, assault and false imprisonment charges at the least.
Raiding the wrong home with guns drawn = felony breaking and entering with a firearm for every cop involved and assault for pointing a firearm at the occupants.
It should be treated absolutely no differently than 10 civilians bashing the sheriffs door off its hinges and holding his entire family at gun point while tying them up.
This should extend to judges who sign warrants without a reasonable amount of evidence of any crime committed and DAs that fail to prosecute when there is ample evidence of the police committing a given crime.
This would probably cut down on the issue real quick.
@9021 - I could not be in more disagreement with your assessment of these two LEOs deserving jail time!
And I will debate you on this online e or in person until the proverbial cows come home.
Criminals are sent to jail for up to a year. These two bozos should each serve multiple years, therefore I contend they deserve prison rather than jail

This is why they didn't want him to be video taping the stop in the first place
My stepdad was a Detroit ccop in the 60s. He carried brass knuckles and a blackjack. I've seen them. He was also a POS and has bragged about hitting specific type of people with them and how hard their heads are so it takes several strikes to knock them unconscious. I hated the man, always have. I realized long ago the only positive influence he ever had on me was to show me at a young age how prevalent, insidious, and disgusting racism is. Oh- and how NOT to treat children.
I've seen it. I was a teenager in the 90s. They did whatever they wanted. I was at a friend's house in 1998 and the cops randomly showed up and searched the entire place because they said one of us was spotted leaving the scene of a crime. They checked in draws, under couch cushions, everything. They didn't find anything and nothing ever came of it lol. I used to get stopped and searched for no reason, just because they were hoping I had something illegal on me. When they didn't find anything, they'd just tell you to leave. The cop probably got scared of the big white truck parked and running so far behind him that he had to call for backup to check them, since if a car floors it, they can gain good speed and seriously hurt someone. Remember its MURICA where some cops sees everyone as a enemy.
