    Great build so far ,awesome results,e85 flex fuel will be better but you’ll need bigger injectors than the 980cc maybe injector dynamics 1300cc and in-line fuel filter for e85 as to keep injectors from clogging but it’s awesome!!!

    • @wosa9461
      @wosa9461  Год назад +1

      Thanks Lou! We’ll only be using a blend of ethanol, most likely E30 or E40. There’s plenty of room for more boost and fueling but E85 would be too much effort to use and source where we are

      @@wosa9461 it’s unfortunate I didn’t know uk lacked pump e85 here in Australia we run e85 flex a great solution as we have pump e85 which is about $2.09 a litre now when it was about a $1.65 before the war !

    Awesome video, can't wait for you to add meth and hopefully LPFP etc to mine, such a shame you guys are so far from me as you do excellent work, I've been looking through your vids and you're very informative and even chatting to you via Facebook you go into great detail to help people out.
    I'm sure I'll use you for a forged engine once it's needed as you really know your stuff.
    That's INSANE that Charlie's Golf made 600hp on an L500 and you guys saying it can probably be pushed to 650hp is absolute madness!, I think its too much power for the road definitely lol.
    I really wish I could use Unicorn, ill still look into it but I think as I said I'll have to go devil's due to their location and being closer, Rick seems like a really smart bloke from all I've read and I don't think I can get switchable maps anywhere else so it's a hard one to pass on.
    Will see you soon, great video and keep them up, will be really good to see you installing forged pistons/rods into the EA888 engine, something I'm really interested in seeing, thanks for the content!

      I wouldn’t say self taught, I spent 11yrs in the industry after I left school working for Toyota Motor Manufacturing as a specialist for the 1.3vvti & 1.8vvti before moving to Airbus as a fitter for their concession team
      But I’ve definitely learnt these engines and vehicles off my own back

    Try use a lower nozzle point in the charge pipe nearer the intercooler to give the meth time to vaporise more as well as add another nozzle for best results I read up

    • @wosa9461
      @wosa9461  Год назад

      Usually recommend 2x 500cc nozzles 6 inches apart and at least 6inches away from the throttle body for these builds
      At the time of fitting Charlie only had a charge pipe with 1x methanol fixing which wasn’t actually a methanol fixing, but enough material to drill and tap and withstand boost
      We have another charge pipe with 3x ports being fitted in the coming days

      @wosa9461  Год назад

      No matey, 80/20 mix at the moment via a 1000cc nozzle
      We’re back to the dyno early Jan with 2x 500cc nozzles for better distribution, not much point pushing 100% meth as we will be tuning for ethanol E40 blend for map 3

  • @bigeater1310

    Have you got much experience with aem meth kits? If so would 250cc nozzle be more than enough for cooling at 400bhp?

    • @wosa9461
      @wosa9461  Год назад +1

      Hey matey! Yes - I’ve fitted a lot of these kits, mainly the AEM V3 and earlier V2
      250cc would be enough at that power running a 50:50 mix, but I would advise having this mapped in as you can actually take power away from the engine particularly at high rpm
      There’s a video I did explaining methanol kits - check it out

      @@wosa9461 cheers mate. I currently have a 500cc fitted and drained a full tank in like 30 mins with mostly spirited driving. This seems like it's using far too much and was thinking maybe the 250cc will be a better choice.
      My mapper won't map it in, he doesn't like letting customers cars go out meth dependant, he prefers it just for cooling mainly which is understandable
