  • Back to the Dyno with Charlies Golf R we built the engine for - this time after a few more modifications in the form of an aftermarket Intake manifold and a new 3.15inch exhaust system - and this time we went armed with C85 Ethanol fuel to spice things up
    Vehicle made an astonishing 636.17BHP on Map 3 (ethanol blend of E30)
    622.34BHP on Map 2 (99ron & methanol)
    500bhp on Map 1 (Low boost pump only)
    We take it home and have a small show of force before Charlie came to pick her up

    That pull u did at 9:20 at the end of it sounds like you misfiring . What was it ?

      I explain this later in the video matey - we’d triggered around 4 rolling launches on that road before that video, the rolling launch retards timing (which is why it bangs) as we build boost the methanol injects alongside it, essentially fueling too much fuel which we suspect caused the misfire when we pulled off. Seems to do this when we trigger the launch after a few times doing it in short succession

      @@wosa9461 oh sorry didn’t get chance to finish the video all the way . 😂 mine used to do that but it had faulty di injector😂 is that something that can be sorted by adjusting tune ? Or is that something that will happen if over using rolling Lc

      @wosa9461  Год назад +1

      From stock to this I would say around £18k-20k

      @@wosa9461 bloody hell did he not contemplate putting in the 5 cylinder

      Well that’s an expensive job in itself, just the engine (DAZA) would be £10k for a decent one - then the cost of a box, shafts, prop adjustment, coding and then of course the expensive of tuning that up - circa £25k+
