The Explorer is 5 year old design. So not a fair comparison to newly designed Traverse. The refreshed 2025 Explorer should be out early summer sometime. Chevy has done nice job with this new model. Should be a winner for them.

The touchscreen on the interior grew a little from 10' to 13'. And they cut down the trim levels down to 4. Otherwise, not much changed that I can tell.
The ST feel like they shouldnt be moving that fast when you floor them in sport lol. Ridiculous power. I went ST although I do like the sporty RS looks. There really is no comparison performance wise though. If the Explorer has brembos and more of a cobraesk front end I would have no beef spending over 60K for it even though I bought one anyway
Does the RS have HUD?
Yes and also have a remote start
Have to do a comparison to the 2025 Explorer and not the 2024
Are they out yet? I know a girl at work has one on order, she said a couple of months away.
@@garys2157 Offical word is that they are starting to hit dealerships around the 1st to 2nd week in July
SUPERCRUISE
Chevy has let me down once again by not offering something with at least 400hp. Just one engine option that can make it decently quick to "car people"...is that too much to ask?
The Traverse outclasses the Explorer in nearly every meaningful way. But to be fair, the Explorer is an older design. Maybe the 2025 model will even things up a little.
The Explorer is 5 year old design. So not a fair comparison to newly designed Traverse. The refreshed 2025 Explorer should be out early summer sometime. Chevy has done nice job with this new model. Should be a
winner for them.
It’s not Chevy’s fault Ford has waited to see what Chevrolet would be offering before refreshing their Explorer. The issue is the design was never class leading to begin with nor futuristic enough to remain competitive without a mid-cycle enhancement.
@@G-Rated I didn't say it was. Ben should have waited a couple months since the 2025 Explorer is being built at CAP right now with all new dashboard, new touchscreen, new front and rear clips, and new tech. I like the new Traverse and 2025 Explorer would be better comparison since it will be hitting dealer lots soon.
@@michaelsheedy then it will compete with 2025 Traverse.
Where is the Durango 392?
I would have bought the Traverse... but its not a rear wheel drive
The Ford interior looks dated...
Isn't the RS just appearance?
Yeah
@BenHardyCars I'm waiting for the Acadia. I hate the name, but that waterfall screen it has looks amazing.
All trims have the same power train if that's what you're asking
The Ford Explorer has been this same body style since 1998!
@jimmycline4778 You may want to clean the lenses of those Coke bottles you're looking through!
ST. The best by far.
Chevy Traverse makes the Ford look like a 2010 Explorer inside and out for the same money. 😬
Traverse looks better
The Explorer all day long!
Explorer all the way
Traverse!
ST
The Traverse is easily better than the Ford
Except that GM is trash with the highest quantity of Chinese parts in all brands sold in America.
@@TheDiameter you might want to check reliability ratings
Agree on the exterior, 100% as for the interior, Chevy has been aesthetically unpleasing for years. Terrible button design and look on everything they make... and that engine is pathetic. Explorer is the clear winner overall. Good review.
What’s pathetic about a 4-cylinder producing over 320+ hp and torque? What’s there about the Ford’s interior that makes it the clear winner?
Was your strategy to completely ignore the current Chevy interior in the video that’s actually being compared to the Ford’s and instead ramble on about previous Chevy interiors from years past so that you can claim the Explorer is the “clear winner”? Lol 🥴
Crash rate for Ford is better
It looks inside like Escalade
St
I can not stand any vehicle with cheap black wheel fenders.....should b body colored
the ST is performance oriented, and the RS is laughable with it's little engine. These two suv's are in completely different classes
Chevrolet Traverse RS > Ford Explorer ST.
Ford literally stuck an ipad on the dash and called it a day. 😂
The Traverse is way better.
The Traverse, because it is not a police car
The Durango was better than both. R.I.P.
Uhhh no lol, one of the most stolen vehicles in the US too btw…
Keep calling the Traverse a “mommy” car. Why not be a lil less, cringe, and say it’s the better family car?
Absolutely zero comparison between those two. One is a blacked out mom truck and the other one is a race car suv. How you can say the traverse looks better on the outside blows my mind. Ford St all day
Ben, you're looking like an Amish lad lately.
The Ford Explorer doesn't get very good ratings in the real world.
Traverse looks like a black cyber tesla 😂
