Yeah, I was thinking the methanol could damage the engine, for the same reasons you were told about at least a 100 times.

I still think you should run the crankcase breather to the tank, if your worried about the crap then run it into a catch tank first so the muck gets caught, I recon that muck is from the running in process, every glow engine I've ever used needed running in before it was any good and I think this engine is the same! It'll run like crap for the first couple of tanks which you need to put through rich then slowly lean out the mix until it runs free .
I said exactly the same thing, almost word for word. He couldn't get it running right because it was a fuel delivery issue. Period. full stop. There's no fuel pump on it and it'll require a LOT of fuel to run all 8 cylinders. SO many nitro cars have a pressure tube running from the exhaust to the fuel tank.
Also, I see on the above video, the breather tube is stuck down the side of the fuel tank. I don't know if the tube he stuck it in goes all the way through or not.
@@muskokamike127 Virtually all Model planes with Glow engines run pressure from exhaust to the tank as well, they do not run well without it, especially upside down.
@@DelDredd I THOUGHT so, it's been 50 years since I ran glow engines in planes!
I had so many cox .049 planes, trikes, cars.

PLEASE KEVIN!!!!! when you build your next Tamiya, That whole A, B and C thing is for the SCREW bags. Each Bag has a BIG letter on it, only open each bag as asked for and it will be much easier.
It literally made my insides twist in pain hearing you asking what the letters were for while you were looking at the bags WITH the letters on them.......

Good move using MKS servos. A lot of people think power and strength are the measures of a "good" servo. Obviously, very important attributes but what really separates the good from the bad is how true they hold center. For bashing, not so important. For heli, planes or high level racing, it makes all the difference in the world.

I remember having a tamiya lunchbox and the Beatle but I only had one motor. So I had to swop them about when I wanted to play with them as a kid 😊
i love the mks hbl550 servos. got one in my 1/10 buggy and another in my 1/10 crawler
It’s going to be very mechanically challenging to get that petrol engine inside of that chassis. The main reason is the steering.
You’re gonna need a steering rack that will clear the bottom of the engine which means you’ll have to design one

I saw someone else try this on youtube today but it didn't work with his motor when he engaged the clutch and put load on the motor the rotors in the blower scraped against the inner walls. Good luck Kev.

My dude. It’s a tiny V8 engine that works lol. It’s amazing tech but the the only videos or posts we see about these engines tend to be by RUclipsrs or other people who have a following. There’s more of these engines that work and are reliable than not.
For the Tamiya builds id like to see a blackfoot with a decked out rear diff and what not to see what they will handle 😂 I have many Blackfoots but they are all from the 1980s and early 90s loljust curious and love to see it

They make another one without a supercharger that’s way more reliable. You may could use that one. It looks super realistic and the air filter could stick out of the hood.

Love the Barbie car m8! I've allready used 4 Barbie cars in some of my builds. I found out that the shells are quite a good fit for the 1:8 TAMIYA TGX. I got a Barbie Rolls Royce, which was a bit too small to fit on the chassis but i just printed a wide body kit😅 and i used 3 Barbie Ferrari GTO's. Those are killer! So, im quite curious what you will do with yours🤘🏻 good luck and have fun!
