I’m in the same boat I really like This kind of stuff building them tweaking them. But holy smokes you can buy a real freaking crate engine for less money
The chainsaw carb is a good idea size wise but functionally they don't work at all like an automotive carb with a float bowl, chainsaws and other two strokes are meant to run upside down so a float bowl wouldn't work so instead they have a diaphragm that pumps fuel using pulses from the crank case which is opposite of the vacuum pulses in the intake. And with the large constantly changing crankcase pressure in a small V8 there's likely very little pulse to tap into

Would be very underwhelming in a 1/5 scale or 1/4 scale. I have a Taylor RC 80cc Supreme gas engine in 2 of my 1/5 scale RC's and they make something like 28-30hp in a 42lbs and 90lbs RC's. Will spin over 16,000 rpm's also.
this engine is actually extremely efficient for what it is, scaled up to a 454 in displacement if it had the same efficiency it would make around 576 horsepower.
@@Deeveeaar yeah finally getting back to work after the pandemic, and went on here forever. then for almost an entire year I was developing and building the system for the Tesla.. it was an engineering nightmare.
It would be awesome to install one of those engines on a bicycle. I’ve seen the crazy e-bike and 2-stroke builds but a mini V8 build would be quite unique since I never saw anyone do that before.

i wanna put one on a mini bike holy hell, at 6 horsepower that's actually a usable engine! and if it does 6 horse at 78cc that's pretty dang good! Looks like it already got a head gasket leak lmfao
I doubt it's got 6hp... It would have to scream like a nitro rc car engine to get that. There is no way... If they rated it at 6 it's as honest as all the 1000mah batteries being sold as 9000mah.
@@volvo09Seriously. I dunno though, actual header exhaust, better ignition, better intake and carbs, and run nitro, I'll bet you could something like 6 horses
I'd sort that dizzy cap before trying to run it too much. Depending on how much compression those little pistons have could easily do some damage if it's not firing on that one pot. The bowls may not be filling because it needs more pressure. I bought a really good 5psi fuel pump off of eBay for my moped to get rid of the vacuum fed one. If you ran a return line to bleed off 2 or 3 psi like I have the carbs get plenty of pressure and anything it doesn't need goes back to the tank.

Wow thats a really cool engine! Looking forward to seeing what you will do with it. I'm currently trying to design and cnc my own opposed piston engine from scratch, so these videos are really interesting!
It's nice to see an engine large enough to do some real work. If I ever got rich enough to recreate a car, I'd do the cartoon version of Speed Racer's Mach 5, and want to power it with a BRM 1.5 Litre V16 because it sounds like the cartoon Mach 5. While the engine is physically much larger on the outside, the model engine parts may be the right size to help recreate the V16. I'd probably make it a hybrid because the BRM engine was totally unpredictable in making power.
The hard part is going to be coming up with a 453-speed manual gearbox. In EVERY SCENE EVER the M5 is going "arrrr-arrrr" and shifting gears. He probably got 3mpg cause he never cruised anywhere, just shifted gears.
I love this engine n i cant wait to see u use it in future projects! Like how fast a remote control car would be with it lol! I love the sound of it to! I love your swag you got going on with the glasses n chain hahaha! That was really cool n sick lol. 😎🤙🏼👌🏼

If I had the money or the backing I most definitely star producing a 2.5 litre half scale V8. And I’d bet anything those things would fly off the shelf . Perfect for cross cart racing .
I'll always be amazed when small engines have multiple horsepower. Imagine telling someone 200 years ago, "See that metal box thing? It does the work of 20 horses"
Like to give pisitive input about your 2 carburetors. . . . . They are normally found on weedwackers, blowers, and trimmers. The primer bulb is meant to remove air from the fuel flow. There should be no air going in one line and out the other. If there is bubbles of air, then theres an air leak. When your putting a carb back together, it needs to have an air tight seal to prevent air leaks. This is accomished by applying lightly a finger smear of grease on both sides of the gaskets. Then press together with screws. Then test for drinking. Once its found that no air is coming or going from the carburetor, then it should function properly. The primer bulb should be normally full with a tiny bubble, or normally half full. When pressing.
