This is cool. You always hear about Susannah Melvoin, as if she was his one and only, and I've never really bought into that. I think she was just one of many women Prince was involved with during that time in his life. Everyone knows that Prince had many women in his life. Outside of Mayte and maybe Vanity, I think Sheila E. was definitely a woman that he truly wanted in his life. He respected her talent and she was probably the only one that had the same work ethic and drive as he did. They bonded differently than he did with any other woman and no matter what was going on, she would always eventually end up performing with him over the years. I think the most important part of their relationship and probably why he respected her so much was because she didn't need him. She chose to be with him and perform with him. Very few of the other women had that distinction. I think that's why Sheila will never be able to get over him. Their bond was that strong.

I think him and Mayta were good but after watching some of the things she said and they were said after he burned there son's ashes and anything that reminded him of her and then got married to another women right after he left her so i know she was hurt and sometimes we say things we really don't mean and i truly believe she said those things because she was hurt because that was wrong of him to do that. Now his second wife just showed her true colors she did him wrong after i seen how she was i don't have any respect her what so ever trying to ask for all that money so her and Eric B could live good but like he stated anyone who try's and play him end up playing themselves and that is exactly what happened to her at the end Mayta is a good one because she couldn't say shit to me but also Mayta is being the bigger women in that situation. Linda Perry is a song writer. She has written songs for female singers like Pink and Aguilera. She's married to Sara Gilbert from the show the Talk. She's even talked crap about Beyonce as to who writes Beyonce's songs. She's a 51 year old artist and song writer, you would think she'd know better. How would she liked to be spoken about like yesterday's trash. Let's be clear MADONNA is not hot and poppin right now at all. She may have her legacy in tact (barely) because of what she's accomplished but her acts of desperation to recapture what ever it is she's believed she's lost, I'll let Madonna and Linda Perry fill you guys in on that one since they both feel she's so relevant, over recent years for me and others I talk to Madonna has diminished her legacy a bit not so much its placement but her relevancy in recent years, with these poorly written songs and these weak performances in recent years. What I can say with Sheila Evelin who is a REAL MUSICIAN. What I can say about Ms. E is that she has a better understanding of music and her place in it which is more than I can see for others who are out of touch. Furthermore, when tributes are done for deep, profound and talented icons such as PRINCE you want those honoring him to have a deeper connection with that artist not only on a musical level. It just means that much more. Music commonalities and personal ones and Ms. Even had both. These 2 were musical mates and personal soul mates. They were once engaged to be married and although that didn't ultimately happen they still remained extremely close throughout the years up until unfortunately PRINCE'S demise. Not true for he and Madonna. They did date in the early years of their careers but did not remain close the way Prince and Ms. E did. It's just sad to me that one musician female at that would be so dismissive of one musician over the other in such a harsh fashion due to ratings and I get that's important too but you can still make ratings happen without being so dismissive of other people, important people in Prince's life.
The Billboard music awards proved my point about Madonna. Ms. Perry was so wrong as to why Madonna was the absolute perfect choice for a PRINCE TRIBUTE and not Ms. Sheila E and the backlash of Madonna's performance proved just that. The reason I believe the performance was received the way it was is because just as I mentioned before Madonna's popularity has wained considerably and it is due to recent acts of desperation to gain popularity in my opinion. Madonna made that Billboard music awards tribute more about her than the musical genius PRINCE. She picked the obvious song out of his many, it was to me a very lazy performance, which demonstrates to me she takes her public or THE public for granted (you better work) and she thought by throwing a great talent such as Stevie Wonder a humongous talent no doubt at the end of HER performance, btw Stevie Wonder who PRINCE greatly admired and modeled himself after PRINCE'S own words not mine, that she would score. It was absolutely pathetic and predictable. I know my words are harsh but I feel true. I had to be direct and to the point because it's who I am and how I write but most importantly a HUGE PRINCE admirer.

Awesome dedication to the women who meant the world to Prince...they obviously were the subject of a great many songs indicating the ache every time a relationship floundered. RIP Prince...may you show the angels and God see how the gift of voice to touch us all in such a private and personal way. She said that Sheila Evelin was too insignificant a performer to be asked to pay a tribute to PRINCE her former fiance btw for the Billboard music awards and that's why they went with Madonna. Who gave the weakest performance ever and her song of choice was so predictable. It was a lazy performance and she thought adding Stevie Wonder at the end was suppose to do something for her. It was HORRIBLE!!!!

I think him and Mayta were good but after watching some of the things she said and they were said after he burned there son's ashes and anything that reminded him of her and then got married to another women right after he left her so i know she was hurt and sometimes we say things we really don't mean and i truly believe she said those things because she was hurt because that was wrong of him to do that. Now his second wife just showed her true colors she did him wrong after i seen how she was i don't have any respect her what so ever trying to ask for all that money so her and Eric B could live good but like he stated anyone who try's and play him end up playing themselves and that is exactly what happened to her at the end Mayta is a good one because she couldn't say shit to me but also Mayta is being the bigger women in that situation. I was so happy to see her and Sheila E being friends i truly believe the first women that was down for Prince was Sheila E then Mayta. I never heard of him and Sheila E having any beef i do believe that if him and Sheila E had gotten married it would have lasted i really don't know but it seems to me Sheila had her own money that she worked hard for the other two came in with nothing. His second wife was living good off his money she was to damn high maintenance it seemed Sheila was not in to all the material things like Mayta and his last wife but i don't blame Mayta i would have sold my wedding dress and all his shit they way he got rid of her and there son. He seemed to not want any memories of her so she would have been a fool to have kept any about him.

Linda Perry is a song writer. She has written songs for female singers like Pink and Aguilera. She's married to Sara Gilbert from the show the Talk. She's even talked crap about Beyonce as to who writes Beyonce's songs. She's a 51 year old artist and song writer, you would think she'd know better. How would she liked to be spoken about like yesterday's trash. Let's be clear MADONNA is not hot and poppin right now at all. She may have her legacy in tact (barely) because of what she's accomplished but her acts of desperation to recapture what ever it is she's believed she's lost, I'll let Madonna and Linda Perry fill you guys in on that one since they both feel she's so relevant, over recent years for me and others I talk to Madonna has diminished her legacy a bit not so much its placement but her relevancy in recent years, with these poorly written songs and these weak performances in recent years. What I can say with Sheila Evelin who is a REAL MUSICIAN. What I can say about Ms. E is that she has a better understanding of music and her place in it which is more than I can see for others who are out of touch. Furthermore, when tributes are done for deep, profound and talented icons such as PRINCE you want those honoring him to have a deeper connection with that artist not only on a musical level. It just means that much more. Music commonalities and personal ones and Ms. Even had both. These 2 were musical mates and personal soul mates. They were once engaged to be married and although that didn't ultimately happen they still remained extremely close throughout the years up until unfortunately PRINCE'S demise. Not true for he and Madonna. They did date in the early years of their careers but did not remain close the way Prince and Ms. E did. It's just sad to me that one musician female at that would be so dismissive of one musician over the other in such a harsh fashion due to ratings and I get that's important too but you can still make ratings happen without being so dismissive of other people, important people in Prince's life.
The Billboard music awards proved my point about Madonna. Ms. Perry was so wrong as to why Madonna was the absolute perfect choice for a PRINCE TRIBUTE and not Ms. Sheila E and the backlash of Madonna's performance proved just that. The reason I believe the performance was received the way it was is because just as I mentioned before Madonna's popularity has wained considerably and it is due to recent acts of desperation to gain popularity in my opinion. Madonna made that Billboard music awards tribute more about her than the musical genius PRINCE. She picked the obvious song out of his many, it was to me a very lazy performance, which demonstrates to me she takes her public or THE public for granted (you better work) and she thought by throwing a great talent such as Stevie Wonder a humongous talent no doubt at the end of HER performance, btw Stevie Wonder who PRINCE greatly admired and modeled himself after PRINCE'S own words not mine, that she would score. It was absolutely pathetic and predictable. I know my words are harsh but I feel true. I had to be direct and to the point because it's who I am and how I write but most importantly a HUGE PRINCE admirer.

I adore Sheila and believed they were deeply connected soulmates but she chose to walk away for good personal reasons. Deep inside they wanted to be together but could not. It is tragic they never had children with anyone else anyway. But Mayte did love him v much too and Sheila loves her (Mayte) and she has said this in her interviews.So please do not compare.
