There are some great oatmeal with very little to no sugar. Requires just ten minutes of stove cooking. I bought Quaker Instant Oatmeal to have a healthier diet because of a diabetic scare, but one day I took note of the nutrition label which had 12G of sugar along with the carbs turning to sugar. I thought it would be healthy because it's oatmeal. Since then I've learned more about how to read the nutrition label. Take a look--why aren't daily percentage values for sugar listed? It's on purpose! The average American consumes about 72 grams of sugar per day; that's about 18 teaspoons (1 teaspoon == 4G)! We should be aiming for 28G, or 7 teaspoons. The lesser, the better. Did you know there are at least fifty different sugar names? I'm not a tin foil anti-sugar nutjob, but researching the food industry, pharmas, and corporations of how they take advantage of us is amazing.

In the US, conventionally-grown oats are sprayed with ROUND-UP, just before harvest, to make them dry faster.
ROUND-UP is known to cause Non-Hodgkins lymphoma; US courts gmhave already ordered millions in payments.
ORGANIC OATS are NOT treated with ROUND-UP, so buying ORGANIC OATS is well-worth the extra cost.
I don't know if the EU or other countries allow spraying oats with Round-Up.

Oatmeal will give you diabetes because your saliva immediately transforms it into glucose while you're chewing on it. It will cause glycation in your red blood cells. The nutrients that do exist in oatmeal are inaccessible by the human digestive system which means that you are basically eating sugar which is very bad for your health.

Thank you for this video - I got an article on my Yahoo news feed that said eating Oatmeal everyday is dangerous, they listed several reasons, one being that it can cause digestion problems. This article was written by a Doctor it said. I eat oatmeal everyday & it only does me good, so I don't know what they are on about!?

Oatmeal is very bad for your health. First of all your saliva breaks it down immediately while it's in your mouth and transforms it into glucose so it will cause a spike in your insulin levels which will eventually lead to insulin resistance and diabetes. Furthermore, the nutrients in oatmeal are inaccessible by the human digestive system and it will cause gut inflammation. It also causes glycation of your red blood cells which will lead to cardiovascular problems. Avoid oatmeal at all costs if you value your life...

Is it healthy to eat rolled oats without cooking it? I soak it overnight with unsweetened almond milk and mixed dried unsweetened blueberries, strawberries and cherries.

2:50 oats greatly reduce your urge to eat afterwards. Same with apples and brown rice
