    Great info here, started eating oats daily the past weeks and it's a complete game changer to stabilize energy levels and mood from the seratonin and melatonin. Amazing! Greetings from a Swede in Beijing 🤗

    I am 67 years old and I have been exercising for over 50 years. I'm a power lifter and fitness trainer and I run and two weeks ago I cycled 70 kilometers for four hours. I don't use fake protein powder, I make protein 4 times a week from oats, banana, honey, dates, berries and buttermilk and more. I soak the oats for three hours and I eat oats in moderation. Last week I had a check-up with the doctor I'm completely healthy.

    I have Type 2 Diabetes. I tried Steel Cut Oats but I'm switching back to Rolled Oats. The reason is that I measured by volume, not by weight. I use a Soup Spoon to measure my oats (and I only eat 1 spoon). A spoon of Rolled contains much less Oats than a spoon of Steel Cut because Steel Cut is a much smaller size than Rolled so there's much more of them in a spoonful. To use a Teaspoon sized portion of Steel Cut would look and feel unsatisfying in terms of volume. Rolled Oats also require less chewing. I eat my Oats with Natural Yogurt & Vanilla Yogurt, Soluble Fiber, various Seeds & Nuts, and a tiny amount of Low-Fat Milk (because Full Cream is too rich and makes me feel bloated).

    Good information, but be aware that at least one "trusted" brand was found to have roundup, the pesticide - very, very dangerous. Stick to brands that explicitly and strictly avoid chemicals.

    What foods do you recommend for lipoedema patients who can not eat any grains, startches, and foods/fruitd with a naturally high sugar content because those food categories asterbate the lipoedema disease itself? ( Spelled LIPEDEMA in the US and LIPOEDEMA in the rest of the world . An adipose disease where the damaged fat cells filled with lymphatic fluids can't be lost like regular fat cells with diet and/or exercise but the regular fat can be. This genetic, painful, advancing, non cureable adipose disease affects 1 out of every 11 women on the planet.

    I eat regular old-fashioned oats every morning for breakfast. I make overnight oatmeal by mixing the oats with unsweetened almond milk, unsweetened plain Greek yogurt & ground flaxseeds. It’s filling, and it helps lower cholesterol. I don’t have a blood sugar problem.

    • @KenshinPhoenix
      @KenshinPhoenix Год назад +1

      Are you grinding the flaxseed fresh yourself? If not then it's oxidised and toxic! Almonds are also high in oxalates, so keep that in mind. You should soak them first at the very least.

      Milk comes from MAMMAL S. not from plants. Less than 2% almond in so called almond (milk). What else is in this drink? I wonder?
