That visual jump from Tekken 3 to Tag was insane. I remember when I first popped that blue disc in and my jaw hit the floor.
idk still looked but ugly to me
Man yes it was mind blowing seeing how smooth everything got
@@MGrey-qb5xz graphic junkie, there's a reason a game like Chrono Trigger still holds up as one of the best if not the best for most gamers till today and it's not bcs graphics. gameplay and story matters
@Picxal Tekken Tag Tournament still looks great for a PS2 launch title
Did you put that jaw back on?
For explanation why Jin have different movesets starting from T4
Storyline-wise : he choose to abandon the Mishima-style as a symbol that he has rejected the Mishima bloodline and rebel against his grandfather(as well as his own father) and to learn back the traditional karate his mother once taught him
Technical-wise : Jin was given a new movesets because of Namco wanted to bring back Kazuya in T4, so they've returned his moveset (in T3 Jin "borrowed" his moveset as Jin was meant to replace Kazuya, like how the other next gen fighters (like Julia, Gunjack, King 2, Forest Law) share movesets (probably with few more combos added) with their preceded fighters (Michelle, Jack-2, King 1, Marshall Law), while Hwoarang is receiving a new moveset instead of reusing Baek T2 moveset
I think his move from Jun Kazama missing too, Jin on tekken 4 was purely a "new" character.
It disappointing me because on Tekken 3 i tried so hard to mastering Jin, after tekken 4 all of my training turn out useless. 😂😂
@@JohnyLim6393 it's not useless tho
You can play Kazuya with those movesets
Though why they still give Devil Jin the Devil moveset (which is basically Kazuya's moveset with few beam lasers moves), instead of giving him Jin's T4 moveset with few beam laser moves
Making people who've mastered Jin's moveset since T4 having to master Devil Jin's moveset all over again
But making people who've mastered Kazuya/Devil to quickly master Devil Jin's moveset, but just doesn't really make sense since Jin was supposed to abandon Mishima karate style but use it again on his devil form
@@JohnyLim6393 I'm not sure if Jin actually inherit any of Jun's moveset
Namco weren't being consistent with their movesets
Like how Jin abandon Kazuya's moveset since T4, but his Devil form still use Devil moveset (which is Kazuya's+some beam laser extra moveset)
@@nayr5483 i know. It just feel different while playing as devil Jin. And shooting laser is like a cheat for me 😅
From Tekken 4 onward his style of Karate is actually way more realistic as well. The motion capture artist for Jin was a Kyokushin karate master
It went from an uppercut to just a simple punch it really shows that he changed from the Mishima style of Karate to the traditional style
Actually his new style was based on kyokushin karate but for some reason they called it traditional karate.
@@switchblade800x3 well there are many styles of conventional karate and I guess to not confuse the non-Japanese they just branded it as "traditional"
@@enochlee3601 Traditional karate is normally shotokan. The fight choreographer for jin was a kyokushin fighter and its very typical that they use a combination of punches and directly followed by a lowkick like you seen by jin.
@@switchblade800x3 Well and that's what Ansatsuken was originally renamed outside of Japan and we obviously know that none of the moves of Ansatsuken resemble that of Shotokan whatsoever
In Tekken 4, they completely changed the character, with a full new moveset from Kyokushin karate.
Tekken is beautiful, a work of art since the 90's going strong
Absolutely!
more like commercialized garbage now
You can see his entire combat style change in T5, from Mishima-style karate to Kyokushin karate.
Edit: Sorry it's T4.
Actually, the old gameplay base including 10-hit combos belong to Devil Jin since then
@@SteelDMN Devil Jin doesn't give a shit whether or not he's using Mishima-ryu karate, so yeah.
bro the change of his fighting style was in tekken 4 wdym
@@Froggo-up4wu i dont think tekken 4 was shown in this video, so I'd assume he was referring to the clip shown in tekken 5
Como se ace la estrella para los combos
Tekken 3 10-hit string is just kazuya's lol
Liek father like son
@@boscocheesecake i mean jin before tekken 4 and heihachi’s betrayal studied the mishima ryo fighting style. Thats why jin, kazuya, heihachi’s movesets are similair.
@@justsomesleapydudeonacouch4524 I know that, no need to explain
Kazuya has a ten hit combo just like heihachis in Tekken 2 I always thought the similarities writhing the family’s fighting style was so cool
@@Shaythe me too, and then one of the family member changed fighting styles wich added a litle bit more depth to the game.
I like the classic combo with jumping uppercut at the end, it seems more unique and powerful.
its a direct copy of kazuyas 10hit
It's like the complete opposite of "unique"
I agree with this.
And fast as well
Brother, it literally looks like a Shin shoryuken. How is that "unique"?
Yeah I almost forgot Jin doesn't have a 10 hit combo on tekken 4
Wait he didn’t? I thought he just forgot about it, damn
....what? Jin doesn't have a 10-Hit Combo in Tekken 4? Why?
@@tmcttf8087 not sure but it feels right since he changed he’s fighting style and didn’t get used to it probably
@@QMOne if he wasn't used to it, he wouldn't had beaten both Kazuya and Heihachi using it.
@@Needformadness2 very true
i wish they kept the old one, love watching him uppercut the enemy after laying waste into them with those fast punches
Agreed. He was so lame when he changed his style but I understand why they did it since it's basically Kazuya's moves
@Abinanta Maheswara Yeah the complaint seems unreasonable because this change was story driven and makes 100% sense, people who complain about his old style are just not looking at the bigger picture and mostly don't own later Tekken games or maybe noticed Devil Jin's existence. (Sorry if you read this, I didn't want to make it long but it automatically became like that)
@@TownsRelaibleBronxstenian I'm guessing in 8 they're getting rid of Devil Jin and inserting his moveset into regular ol Jin and honestly, I kinda want that
He had like 3-4 other 10 hits like one he perfectly combined Kazama and Mishima Karate. Went from the white heron string to the mishima triple roundhouse kick into the uppercut i think. His others did like his laser scraper and everything in it. Mained Jin since T3. He had 1 from Kazuya, 1 from Heihachi, and 2 completly unique to him. Involving a mixture of Kazama and Mishima moves. Should have shown those too
Namco hasn't bothered to change how these characters animate since Tekken 4 lol.
Fr fr we need an update on these animations right now it looks very stiff now that we're on Tekken 7
It's on purpose. Imagine having to learn all the moves again. Also the 10 hit strings are designed that way to interrupt easier .
@@noFUN67 but you can still make it look better while being easy to understand. I mean, look at any 2D fighting game then and now like guilty gear. Even with the 2 latest ones (Xrd and strive), strive looks way better but is still easy to read and understand. In fact, there’s a crap ton of effects and what not on the screen in that game yet it never feels like it’s affecting you because they did a good job at making it not make the game harder to read
@@pian-0g445 idk i really dislike the choppy 24 framerate animation. Sure they gave it the anime look but to me it feels really off. And also have you ever seen a hell sweep in slow mo ? Kazuya breaks his entire back and looks like an hour glass lol
Why u gotta love tekken keep the same moves but jin is completely diffrent after tekken tag 5
I remember impressing my friends doing king grapple combos when we were young
I was this friend, bro! Remember writing down on a paper all the buttons, yeah King's combos were the deadliest ones
Yeah I learned them all only to find out how easy they were to break out of once you knew how to. Now I annoy people with hwoarang's disrespect lol
i broke 2 controllers and 3 40oz beers thanks to it. thanks for the reminder
Lmao I had a friend who over used the disrespect launch combo in TTT2 to great annoyance.
@@giorgiopereira6742 Lmao apologies 😂😂😂😂
T3 Jin's voice just amazing🔥
Whatever happened to his English dub voice? Heck what happened to a lot of their English dub voices? Or was i just imagining this?

@@F_R_I_E_Z_A i think not, tekken 4 did that with the (city stage umm crowded stage idk) but when u ko someone the instruments go boom.
the graphics from the first Tekken Tag hold up really well!
Yes! Your videos are back to normal 👏🏽👏🏽
Watching this remembered me of my childhood😌🥺...This 10 hit combo was one of the favourite combo of all time to me but when I was a kid...
I always thought it was interest how in Tekken 4 he didn’t have one, kind of a testament to how he wanted to unlearn to Mishima fighting style, since that combo in particular was 100 percent like Kazuya’ haha.
Well, no, because he changed fighting style come Tekken 4. They just didn't have a 10-hit-string for him then.
I really like his 10 hit combo
Great video as always
It looked cooler in the earlier stages. As it went on they removed the axe kick and turned the uppercut into a jab
Jin unlearned the Mishima-style karate (seen in earlier games here) which had the axe kick and uppercut. In later iterations he breaks away from his family and self teaches something similar to traditional karate.
Kazuya (jins old man) has that same 10 hit nowadays
My bad if you already know this, just love the lore
@@CBHPwnz I did not know this. Explains a lot. Thanks
@@CBHPwnz I think her mom taught traditional Karate, he left Mashima style and decided to use only traditional Karate style what his mom taught him in younger age.

Tekken 3 & Tekken Tag ♥️
Where it all began.. so nostalgic
Still the best ones, original, music, locations
LTG rage is iconic he would make more bread if he owns it and make T shirts lol
Amazing showcase. It's amazing to see a videogame franchise grow over the years in terms of gameplay and looks.....but where's Jin Kazama's Tekken 4 10-Hit Combo?
@Z3US 81 Yeah, I recently learned this.....it's weird. Why doesn't he have a 10-Hit Combo in Tekken 4? I know that Namco cut a lot of things out of Tekken 4, but still.
@Z3US 81 I know, but still....oh well.
@@tmcttf8087 But why? Why get rid of Jin’s 10 Punch Combo? Also what else was cut?
@@TheSuperSmashBros01 I don't even know. But, in terms of characters....many were cut from 2001's Tekken 4. Including Anna Williams. She was originally going to be in the game, as you can find an audio clip online that has the Tekken 4 announcer specifically calling out *"Anna Williams".* Said Tekken 4 announcer also called out a name that you may find to be *very* familiar. *"Jinpachi Mishima".* His name being called out within such a game implies that Jinpachi existed back in the days of Tekken 4, but for some reason was cut out of the game and was saved for *Tekken 5* instead. Many things like this was cut out of Tekken 4.....for some reason. There's still more to be learned.
@@tmcttf8087 Yeah Jinpachi I know. He was Heihachi’s father that also had the Devil Gene before Kazuya in Tekken 2, Jin in Tekken 3 and Kasumi (Kazuya’s mother) in Tekken 7.
Yo amazing bro
Tekken 3
I miss those days

1:12 yup this replay was much needed
I had a dream I was going to watch this.. and this pops on my feed. Not complaining 💯💯
t3 jin move list was passed on devil jin from t5 onward, coz he got that 10hit combo similar to devil jin not to the new normal jin in t4 onward which is a different character
I luv how you can see the exact point where he went from Mishima style to Kyokushin karate
Actually you can't cuz this video missed out tekken 4 for some reason
jin casually beating the shit out of hwoarang during tekken 3
I like the combo change from Tekken 4 and up. The way Jin sends them spinning at the end was just amazing!
0:26 honestly if this came nowadays i would still buy it cause the level of detail in the smooth animations is way beyond any indie company
Love the way CGI evolves😍😍
Tekken 7 Jins Karate is Just beautiful to Look at
Love this combo
Nice video bro!!👍
My favorite of tekken series is
tekken 6
Tekken 6 looked so good.
T5 looks better and aged better imo.
@@xOmniCloudx Yeah definitely your opinion.
@@TownBwoy Same with your comment which is definitely an unpopular one lol.
People bashed T6 for looking ugly when it first came to console in huge numbers since it was years old from its arcade release.
Plus screenshots of it look hideous then and now. Hair effects are worse, and models look plastic with details in clothes and various parts of the model entirely lost.
Kazuya and Lili off the top of my head look great in T5 but TERRIBLE in T6 from model, to outfit to clothes physics.
T6 stages look good though but finer details are lesser still. Moonlight Wilderness looks more impressive than most anything in T6 though.
@@Xaxan6523 Fallen Colony looks nice. Mystic Forest looks like inferior version of Jungle in T4.
@@xOmniCloudx they ruined everyone in tekken 6.

JIN KAZAMA
0:39 Kazuya taking credit for his son’s success 😂
Nice! 10 hit combo!
You can see his entire combat style change in T5, from Mishima-style karate to Kyokushin karate.
When Jin switches to kyokushin karate from Tekken 4 onwards the combinations become much more relistic.
I like how the evolution fits the storyline.
The best Tekken BGM and Announcer Voice was from Tekken 3.
Jin has 3 kinds of 10 hits combo.
2 are from his father, Kazuya Mishima, and the rest 1 is from his mother, Jun Kajama.
The represented 10 hits combos in TEKKEN 3 ~ 3 tag here are father side combo, while others are oriented from his mom.
So, please, why not compare all from his mother side combos for consistency?
The only thing from the kazama style jin keeps is the stepping crescent kick. The rest is all new
yeah whats really happening here is that Jiz is transitioning from Mishima style (Kazuya and Heihachi's) to Kazama style (Jun) his mother.
1:16 when she takes it for the first time
wait...why the B+2,4,4,4 starter and 3,2,4,3 ~ 1+4 in Tekken 3 is not included?...
Kazuya is my main and the one in Tekken 3 is Kazuya's first ten hit combo!
I know we’re focusing on the combos here but the animations are so fluid sheesh
3:12 synced with music perfectly
From tekken 4 jin moves changed a lot 😉
My cousin who died of cancer age 34 yesterday mained Jin when we played Tekken 3 together in the 90s and now i get this in my Recommend .....
My fav character 😎
Jin's combo string was much harder since T4 and he was more focused on parrying since then
ah, yes, the classic "flame" pants.
i remember back in the day i would always press circle (as far as i remember) when choosing jin, because that's the one that gives him the outfit that matches the CD art.
it's just as iconic as ryu's gi, scorpion's yellow outfit, and iori's red and black outfit
In t3 and tag he had a 10 hit from b2. This combo was also in TAdavance.
Tekken 5 is so nostalgic
I remember playing it with my sister
I Like Jin Kazama He is My Favourite Tekken Character I Played Jin Kazama since Tekken 3
Yeah me too:)
man tekken 5 that was THE tekken for me so many memories
Jin ❤️
Bro, can you do tekken character animation changes over the course of games? For example, (devil jin's three ring circus or jin's 1+2 punches)
Best bro
0:54 nice
Jin 😍
The interesting fact about Jin that whenever he goes into his DVJ mode he uses the Mishima style fighting since the Devil Gene started with the Mishima
Why'd you put Kazuya's 10 string for T3, Advance & Tag 1? Jin had his own in those games, which are now owned by DJ.
3, 2, 4, 3, 1+4, 1, 2, 1, 2
b+2, 4, 4, 4, 4, 2, 1+4, 2, 3+4
These two strings can also end with the Dragon Uppercut instead.
I was just saying the same thing
I used to do another one T7!
Whole bunch of punches, low kicks and knees finished with two straight punches
Imagine if it was all guaranteed on counter that would be the most op 10 hit combo that break wall
And Dragunov 10 hit is guaranteed on back turn correct ?
tekken 3 jin was a beast
Tekken 3 10 hit combo looks cool af
bro I remember playing Tekken 3 bro devil jin hits diff
He had other 10 hit combos in Tekken 3 and Tag 1. Why not show those as well?
hey bro, I thought you wouldn't make move list evolution videos anymore
i love you jin
I love Tekken went from saying you win! To saying the full name of the character
TEKKEN 3 MY ALL TIME FAVORITE
Wait, didn't Jin unlearned the Mishima Zaibatsu arts in Tekken 4? Why is he using that 10-hit Combo?
⭐️
For a Gameboy Advanced Tekken game, that looks pretty damn good!
Indeed it makes me wanna play it as well.
Tekken 3 Jin's 10-hit combo's just Kazuya's. And it's in Smash!
Well no kidding Sherlock!
Maybe you should put which tekken version each one
Cameraman from Tekken 3 really knew how to capture a street battle though. And then the graphics in Tekken 5: Dark Ressurection were a good upgrade (the characters match the background and the action feels smooth and live), only it's not the Tekken universe (and almost every single strike lights up like a Christmas show -- am I playing Tekken or am I welding here?).
the tekken give away always was how the heads are adjusted towards the other player.
Tekken 6 has that natural sexy motion blur effect
Tekken 5 Dark Resurrection (both PSP and PS3) is my absolute favorite Tekken game
Jin with mishima style was always the best..
I love how his fighting style changed over time to be less like heihachi
so basicly if we doing this kind of combo, even with any character, does the opponent can block it?
I love the music Form tekken 3
