3:18 How in the frick did GCI manage to do that???? They literally built the structure around the supports for Blue Fire, and it looks like the supports are barely barely touching that. That is impressive engineering.
When I was riding the Blue Fire for the first time I was screaming the qhole time, and then had a moment of "whoa that's so cool" when I saw the Wodan built around it and then went right back to screaming.
They quite outdid themselves in cramping Wodan into the quite small area that was available, but still manage to pack up a quite large wooden coaster in it, together with a very large, detailled station and que!
I’m glad you gave it at least an 8 out of 10, because personally i find Wodan to be very underappreciated. The que deffinatly adds to the overal experience, and it is indeed no punishment to wait in it because it’s so detailed it’ll keep you entertained for quite a while with all it’s different scenes. Great review!
Wodan has some of the coolest Millennium Flyer trains ever~ The design of it looks really cool :) Not many people talk about this ride, and of course, not many people besides coaster enthusiasts talk about it, but I've heard nothing but great things about it~ Not one of the top GCI coasters, but it's definitely up there~ I can get why people say it's short, I mean Europa Park and GCI don't have a ton of room in that area, so I'm glad they were able to fit as much of the ride as possible, so of course, there are things like that that they consider.
He's right, if feels a bit short because it actually is, for its size. On paper the lenght of the track is all right, but a big part of it is the pre-lift section, the final brake run, and a extra long block at the end because it can run 3 trains. The length is similar to Troy, yet Troy feels and is longer. Also the coaster still has some momentum at the end, it sure could do another 100 meters or so. (350 feet) They didn't have a lot of space to build, so this is probably the best layout they could came up with.
I am living near to Europa park and I am there realy often. Wodan is surely the Best themed coaster, maybe after Can Can Coaster. But my favourite coaster ist still blue Fire, because it was the first Big Roller coaster of mack, which is still realy smooth. I hope the Park will get in the next few years a New mack Roller coaster, maybe a xtreme spinning coaster.
This ride doesn't get enough credit. Its awesome. Best wooden coaster in Europe(not rmc) was my nr1 for 6 years till untamed and taron. But best ride in the park still. Its so fast when its warmed up. Love wodan. But no merchandise sadly
I adore woodies, this one is kind of special for me. Maybe it’s because it is in the park with the best atmosphere I’ve ever been to. And it is the wildest ride in the park. If you don’t count Euromir’s second half riding backwards. This Russian beast will beat you from left to the right, then from right to the left. But only backwards. Forward it is kinda tame except the last helix. So Wodan wins for me in the “wild” category.
If you ride Wodan in winter, it is running with steel wheels unlike in summer, so the ride is much louder and feels way more aggressive :) Night rides on Wodan are absolutely fantastic, no matter in which season!
I think it felt short because when you're riding the front you are focusing a little more on the track and view and not just letting yourself go as you would in the back.
According to the information I have, GCI didn't put rapid transitions into the layout because Europapark didn't want to add additional seatbelts to speed up dispatch times.
I love GCI coasters! So glad I got to sleep 30 meters from Troy's first drop in Toverland inside a tent, haha! I still need to go to Europapark in the future, because my children are not allowed to ride their coasters yet! (minimum age for Silver Star is 11 years old!!)
Hey , i was allowed to ride Silver star with 9 years even though the limit is 11. I was tall enough (1,40m is the required size ) and we asked the right attendance at the entrance and she let me in . She said it's more about the mental not the physical , so it also could happen to your child's , but I wouldnt rely on it
I think Wooden Coaster at Knight Valley, Shenzhen, China may be the largest GCI. It's height and speed statistics aren't known, but it's a huge terrain coaster built into a hillside that has some serious speed, I suspect faster than Wogan and Python. I can't know for sure without riding it but the ride looks to be on par with the Voyage at holiday world, it's layout seems to just be incredible.

It would be great to see Rankings by Manufactures in future videos. I think that would be interesting since you rode coaster in Europe, Japan, and North America.
Great theme overall and the queue is nice to see probably the first 2-3 times, after that I find myself turning a corner a be like 'damn, we're still at that part of the line'. Feels a bit claustrophobic too, I think voletarium, Arthur and the new eurosat (which came all after wodan) have a surperior line.

The roller coasters here are fun, but none of them 'amazing' (except for maybe Arthur, that rides pretty fantastic). The reason why Europa Park does so well for best theme park is because the actual park itself is INCREDIBLE. It is architecturally amazing, as well as probably the most beautiful park In the world.
