    Thanks for this well organized tutorial, Jperm. I have already watched it twice.
    One question: what fraction of the time, roughly can a 2x2x2 be solved without needing multiple "cycles" or flips?
    Half of the time? More, less?
    Thanks!

    • @JPerm
      @JPerm  5 лет назад +5

      I just calculated about 17% assuming you have only 1 piece already solved when you start. although I'm not sure if this is accurate. You can technically avoid flipped pieces by the way you hold the cube on a 2x2 to make sure nothing is in its correct spot already and flipped, but this isn't feasible as its faster to just deal with the flipped pieces.

      Kevin Janssen The reason why 2BLD isn’t an official WCA event is because it would just be the same exact thing as without a blindfold for fast 2x2x2 solvers, but for all other solvers, it would be super unfair.
      That’s because once you get fast at 2x2x2, it’s possible to just 1-look a regular 2x2x2 solve, so fast solvers would just do the same exact thing.

    I hate it when you pull out your 2x2 and somebody says it’s ‘a baby version of a Rubik’s cube’ or something along those lines. 🤬😡😤

    • @SikoSoft
      @SikoSoft 5 лет назад +1

      Well, to be fair... isn't it?
      I like the 2x2 as well, but let's keep it real: it definitely lacks the complexity of a 3x3. Maybe "for babies" is hyperbolic since normal people won't be able to fix a 2x2 by intuition either, but let's be real and keep it in perspective. Compared to a 3x3 it is a walk in the park. It's all relative though.
