Young Yiheng has dethroned cubing veterans Max Park (USA) and Tymon Kolasiński (Poland), who jointly held the record with a time of 4.86 seconds.

I just recently got back into it for some reason. I watched a lot videos and studied algorithms for about 2 weeks. I can solve it easily now but not NEARLY as fast as this kid. Everyone who solves it like this uses a tutorial and I also did the same. You may think you could keep trying forever and never get it but I assure you that if you actually try with a tutorial you could 100% do it with just a bit of time, maybe it will take over a day or a few days but that’s ok because the first time can be difficult to figure out since it’s new. With just a few months of practice I became sub 40 and you’re not the slowest because there are lots of people who have not done it but you’ll find it’s easy after a few solves with a tutorial and possibly some notes to help.

The Mozart of 3x3x3 speedcubing. When Mozart was 9 years old he was not only a talented violinist and pianist, but he was able to write beautiful music with a very mature take on melody and composition. Yiheng Wang's solutions are a symphony.. Fast!!! And very clever and symphonic. Being so young he have plenty of time to develop "color neutrality" (if you/the reader are not a cuber you can look it up). Maybe invest a couple of years with less stability in his average times, and then take a quantum jump and become literally unbeatable in the sport of 3x3x3 speedcubing for a very long time.
