Actually the lyrics in English was based upon a western hearsay: " The bell rings when the right guy approaches." The movie "Rome Adveture"(在台北放映時片名為"花蕊戀春風"，主題曲"Al Di La"膾炙人口) of 1962 starring Suzanne Pleshette , Troy Donahue, Angie Dickingson and Rossano Brazzi has the dialogue.
