When I was in the Navy, I was stationed on the East Coast. Norfolk to be exact. I served with an old school, salty sailor who had been stationed on a West Coast aircraft carrier. He played this song for me and bragged about how much he loved Hong Kong. The stories he shared made me want to go to the West Coast so bad. Unfortunately the Navy didn't have anything available at the time before I was separated from active duty. If it was anything like he said it was had I gone, I would have made a career out of the Navy for sure.😂
I used to live opposite some of the group. in the same apartments on the same third floor of hilltop mansions, above north point in Hong Kong. I remember going into their apartment on one occasion and they had a mini stage set up in it. I was only 8 or 9 at the time 1968 - 9?
On of the most magical cities in the world.
