INGREDIENTS
Preheat oven to 350 degrees * bake crust for 8-10 mins and then place in the freezer to cool.. this takes about 10 mins to cool completely*
Crust:
1 Box Nilla wafers ( or cookies of choice such as butter cookies or chessman. you can also use graham crackers ..)
1 1/2 sticks ,melted butter
Pie:
2 blocks cream cheese ( soften or room temperature.. your can place cream cheese in microwave for 30 secs to soften if you don't want to wait )
5 lemons ( juiced ) for a mild lemon taste you can use 3.. but taste the filling before adding to crust and adjust!
2 cans sweetened condensed milk
2 cups heavy whipping cream
* note * this pie can be refrigerated over night or placed I the freezer for 4-6 hours or until it sets* You can also freeze any leftovers to enjoy at a later time*

And always, ALWAYS, talk to somebody about your problems/feelings/thoughts every day!!!!! Communication is so important when you are in a depressive stage!!

I think it depends on where you're from. I'm from the deep south small town Texas and we use Cool Whip instead of cream cheese.

I think people do it differently depending on where you're from. I grew up using a graham cracker crust, cool whip, a can of condensed milk, lemon juice, & a can of drained pineapple chunks.

I just got home from the grocery store. Looks like I’m going back for these ingredients...and can I tell you how I’ve now made the pepper steak oodles of noodles dish 4x and got the ingredients today again to make it for dinner this week!?! It’s so freaking good! I can’t wait to try this pie. Definitely making it later.

I made this pie earlier today and just now had my first piece and let me tell you...IT! WAS! AMAZING!!!!! It's so refreshing and so tarty. I love lemon and this recipe has lemon in it for sure. I have tried a lot of lemon recipes and it always made me mad because I could barely taste the lemon in it. I look forward to trying all your other recipes. My whole family loved it too! I use a flat-bottom drinking glass to make the crust- with springform, especially. Even bottom and sides! Plus I zest the lemons, and sprinkle on top!

I've been making this pie since I was a teenager. I don't use cream cheese nor heavy cream. I use egg yolks, condensed milk, fresh lemon juice and a ginger snap crust. And i do not bake it. Because the lemon juice is an acid, it cooks the egg yolks. It is delicious. I will certainly try making it with the cream cheese and heavy cream. I like the variation. Thank you for sharing.

This is how I beat my cookies. It makes them so much favorable. I add a teaspoon of fresh lemon juice with the butter and add it to the cookie crust 😋. I've heard it all..."Cellulite pie" 😂
