    Agree with the comments here on the importance of personal values, and this list is a helpful starting point, allowing us to ask ourselves "what does this mean for me" and develop from there. I always think of personal values as both a promise and a motivator, something I must live up to continuously.

Like for example self love, self respect, self confidence, and other ones so I can finally prove I to my mom I fr need to be my true tomboy and emo self and love who I truly am instead of hating myself. Especially because I’m disliked a lot by my crushes and exes.

    • @AdrianaGirdler
      @AdrianaGirdler  2 года назад +1

      Hi @akterrey. Your core values should be ones that you live your life by, they are a line in the sand that you will never cross no matter what the situation is. For example, if one of your core values is honesty, then you will never be dishonest if you find yourself in a situation where you may feel you want to be. Maybe you don't want to hurt someone's feeling by telling the truth but if this is one of your core values you won't cross that line. I hope this is of help and thank you for watching, cheers!

    How do you accept people without judgement? I struggle with this when it comes to people who are behaving in toxic manners. Mostly narcissistic people...
    Advise would be greatly appreciated ❤

    • @AdrianaGirdler
      @AdrianaGirdler  2 года назад +1

      Let me do my best to answer as scenarios and situation are critical to give the appropriate answer. Here is my simplified answer. To accept people without judgement we first need to work on NOT judging ourselves. Our projected judgements tend to be a mirror of our own judgement. When we stop judging we are more open to compassion. When we look at situations through the lens of compassion we get a different perspective. So my advice is to work on what judgements do you have about yourself which will led to personal growth and your desire not to be impacted by others.

    • @zion367
      @zion367 2 года назад

      @@AdrianaGirdler Aha oke... But wouldn't that mean that we end up at a place where we would allow ourselves to be trampled by others toxic behaviors? Or that we would allow ourselves to be toxic because we do not want to label it as bad?
      Also... I noticed that due to my understanding of others their motivations and compassion, I became almost passive in asserting my boundaries because "hurt people hurt people so 'let it slide' mentality came around the corner.
      Perhaps these are too complicated questions for a comment section...
      I get that.

    • @AdrianaGirdler
      @AdrianaGirdler  2 года назад +1

      Great questions but there is so much to unpack and discuss. It isn’t a simple straight forward answer. The key to compassion is to also be empowered. ❤️
