As a Korean, I can tell you that this is so accurate 😂. But in my family, my oldest sister basically does everything for me even though I’m the youngest. She makes me my food, drives me around, buys stuff for me. But whenever we’re doing someone like watching a movie or whatever, I always have to grab the drinks, snacks, food, basically everything
Irene N. koreaboo's are pretty much people who fetishize Korean culture and most of the time, they are fans of kpop/kdrama. these people WANT to be Korean, not the ethnicity in which they were born. while it is more than okay to listen to kpop & watch kdrama & even learn the Korean language (that's called "observing the culture"), we as non-Koreans need to remember that Korea is not a fantasy land full of pretty people. they go through hardships just like everyone else in the world. a koreaboo does not care about that though, they will only think Korea & their culture is something they can use however they want and frankly, it's not cute bc they are disrespecting a culture. sorry, i know that was long but i hope this helps! so it's ok to like kpop and all that stuff, just make sure to be respectful and genuine.
no baekhyun no life im actually genuinely korean and I'm 10 and embarrassed by it because I remember at school I would bring in my lunch bag and my snacks and lunch and I am always embarrassed to eat so if I have rice or something like that I usually don't open my lunch and most of the time don't eat. I used to beg my mom to pack me like pasta or American food. I always thought what would it be like to be American and some people say omg I was born in the wrong country blah blah blah blah but most young koreans are embarrassed just to eat in front of people. I had learned that korean food is not embarrassing but sometimes I don't want to eat... so I guess the moral is to don't just look in the bright side of things.
Irene N. ahhh, i'm glad you're not embarassed anymore though. you liking American culture isn't wrong at all bc if you like it, then you like it and that's ok. but for example; i'm part japanese and pacific islander. i'm not korean at all. but i say things like: "omo....jinja? unnie! kahasamnida for the bread!" i think a lot of people would tell me to stop using korean language like that, you know? ^^ i have korean friends & they say they do not feel comfortable when they see their culture or language being used playfully, that is where i learned my opinion ^^ but you are correct, we should see the bright side of things but i think respect is also important bc culture is also important to many people (:
*Fun fact: When Koreans meets a stranger, the first thing they have to ask is “When we’re you born?” Because in Korea, your age is super super important, and not much Koreans just ask “What’s your age?” they just ask “When we’re you born?”, idk why :
as a korean I can confirm about half of these things are true, although there was too much outdated stuff and exaggerations lbr (who the hell cares about blood types in 2018)
Its true though to some extend. There are 4 general types of personalities which again are subdivided into 4 personalities. Psychologists say there are roughly 16 personalities There are some studies showing. correlation between blood type and personality type.
Everyone in the comment section is complaining about kpop fans, and then there are people complaining about not seeing any of those comments. How about we talk about how hot Claire ( if that's how you spell her name ) is. Like damn, she's really beautiful. 😍😍😍
why are koreans so freaking gorgeous 😂😂 *edit: hi um i completely forgot i wrote this and then stumbled upon it. i am terribly sorry if i offended anyone. it was not my intention, it was just something i always noticed between my korean friends and some of the shows i watch. i didn’t know that i had gotten so many responses 😂😂 again, i’m so so sorry if i offended anyone
im sorry but not all koreans are necessarily good looking. as a korean myself, i ask you to please stop generalizing. just because you see some people who are koreans and famous doesnt mean that the whole race is gorgeous.
this month is Asian heritage month and it literally says that at the end of the video.. no one comments that buzzfeed is turning "black" when they had so many consecutive videos on African Americans, so literally everyone needs to chill with that buzzfeed is turning Korean or there's too many Korean videos..
The comparison to black people is invalid. Look at the like to dislike ratio on videos about black people & compare it to any video on non-black people. Not much to complain about here apart from the fetishization of Korean people.
for this video specifically it wouldn't have been weird (which they're trying to do) for her to do the random number of days anniversary thing with him because he's also korean

Leslie H. You're 17 in Korea turning 18 in the new year. Cats you're both 1 years old and turn another year older on New year's day. It's complicated but... Yeah I was born the same year do I've already figured it out
Johnny Kiehn well FYI, these things actually do happen in korea. So, maybe because he hasn't been brought up in korea or maybe because it's only understandable among koreans, which triggers him to not behave like that. I guess though.
To those who like kpop, k dramas and completely appreciate the Korean culture, then props to you. But those ‘claiming’ to be Korean are just nuisance. I’m not Korean, but I find interest in this Korean culture. I love their traditional outfits and their food. I love their language and being able to learn and understand it would be amazing, because then I could possibly learn Japanese on top of that. However, using romanised Korean words and just involving Korean words in your everyday English sentences just ruins everything. And please don’t say that all people who like the language or the culture is automatically a ‘koreaboo’. You don’t see someone who finds interests in the Spanish language and their culture and immediately assume them to be a ‘Weeb’. No. They are praised for being ‘multi cultural’ and ‘intellectual’. But to those who actually ‘claiming’ to be korean just for your ‘oppas’, then honestly please leave. You’re an annoyance to those who actually appreciate the country as you’re making us appear like ‘koreaboos’. Shout out to the people who appreciate the culture and everything about it. Including Kpop Kdrama Korean bbq Beauty Outfits And traditions. You’re the realest ✌🏻 And if you’re korean, you’re also cool. Stay original

They keep saying all Asians like myself look the same ... I don’t go around saying all white People look the same ... cause they do
No way
White people don't look the same just as asian people don't, but east asian and northern europeans...
Miranha to people who aren’t always around a certain group, they look the same. asian countries don’t think asians all look the same because they constantly see the differences. same with white and all other races. it just depends on where you grew up. as an asian who grew up in america, i can tell many races apart, but even for me, i struggle with asians 🤷♀️
@Bloody hell and all Asians have straight hair, Europeans are simply more diverse
Oh and btw i am not asian but i agree with you.

I guess its an Asian thing...lol

I swear half the people saying "i relate because im korean" are either genuinely korean or straight up koreaboos
That's exactly what I was thinking. Bit sad really..
Whats koreanboos? Btw I love bts too
Irene N. koreaboo's are pretty much people who fetishize Korean culture and most of the time, they are fans of kpop/kdrama. these people WANT to be Korean, not the ethnicity in which they were born. while it is more than okay to listen to kpop & watch kdrama & even learn the Korean language (that's called "observing the culture"), we as non-Koreans need to remember that Korea is not a fantasy land full of pretty people. they go through hardships just like everyone else in the world. a koreaboo does not care about that though, they will only think Korea & their culture is something they can use however they want and frankly, it's not cute bc they are disrespecting a culture. sorry, i know that was long but i hope this helps! so it's ok to like kpop and all that stuff, just make sure to be respectful and genuine.
no baekhyun no life im actually genuinely korean and I'm 10 and embarrassed by it because I remember at school I would bring in my lunch bag and my snacks and lunch and I am always embarrassed to eat so if I have rice or something like that I usually don't open my lunch and most of the time don't eat.

Its true though to some extend. There are 4 general types of personalities which again are subdivided into 4 personalities. Psychologists say there are roughly 16 personalities There are some studies showing. correlation between blood type and personality type.

Ahm.. *Koreaboo...*
im sorry but not all koreans are necessarily good looking. as a korean myself, i ask you to please stop generalizing. just because you see some people who are koreans and famous doesnt mean that the whole race is gorgeous.

this month is Asian heritage month and it literally says that at the end of the video.. no one comments that buzzfeed is turning "black" when they had so many consecutive videos on African Americans, so literally everyone needs to chill with that buzzfeed is turning Korean or there's too many Korean videos..
jjessii. But buzz feed does have more posts involving Koreans than any other Asian group
kidminja44 maybe they just have a few Korean people working in the content department? Hard to create cultural content when you don't know the culture
The comparison to black people is invalid. Look at the like to dislike ratio on videos about black people & compare it to any video on non-black people. Not much to complain about here apart from the fetishization of Korean people.
get over it. stop obsessing over black people and what relates to them weirdo

Yeah I know many of you confuse 'pasta' withh 'noodles'. Yeah, we Italians took the recipe from China but we modified it, we changed some ingredients creating pasta
Costy Hetalia Italian here. Pizza is not from Italy. If you're talking about those greasy meat cheese diabetes plate then yes that's American, pizzas are very different in Italy. They're soft, rarely EVER have meats. They're usually with herbs and spices. So he's kinda correct
