  • I have a Seagull Entourage Rustic Guitar I bought new after playing the guitar in a guitar center. I had never heard of Seagull but like the shape of the neck and it sounded really great fingerpicked.
    I bought it and have played it a lot over the last 8 years.
    Seagull can definitely be argued for best bang for your buck for acoustic guitars.

    I've owned and played a lot of acoustic guitars and this is my favourite by far. I've got the Entourage Folk Burnt Umber model too. Excellent guitars imho.
    Great review and nice playing mate.

      My pleasure. :-)
      I've just ordered this to fit in mine:-
      ruclips.net/video/c0rJ0xKPVA8/видео.html
      That's the passive type and I've ordered the active counterpart which adds to it. Reviewed here:-
      ruclips.net/video/vgP_DkgKwv8/видео.html
      I'm in the UK and both cost me approx' £110. I'm not sure how that translates to dollars but I've seen them on the US version of Amazon and they are much cheaper than many brands whilst sounding equally as good - and some would argue, in many cases, better.
      The passive type works on its own but you still need it if you upgrade to the active type.

    I may pick one of those up second hand, either that or an S6. You can pick one up on marketplace from 200 bucks to 350.00. Handmade in Canada from locally sourced woods, how can you go wrong. Great video and fantastic fingerpicking!

    I just bought one this evening for $200 cash. The guy said he'd played it once or twice and put it away in a Road Runner hard case. I couldn't believe it. The only thing I need to do is lower the action because it's a little too high for my liking. I wish I could play as well as what's being played in the video at the 7:02 minute mark.

      Thanks for the comment! When you get it dialed in I bet you are going to love it. I still play mine more than all my other guitars. Also, the name of the song from 7 minute mark is " Carolina breakdown " by Etta Baker. I found this of Etta herself showing this song! ruclips.net/video/KLC3VMOikvE/видео.html

      @@kidwilson3357 Thanks for the return reply! I can't believe I didn't even ask the name of the song you're playing since I'm really concentrating on Bluegrass and Blues style music. You can bet that I'll check out your link; any help is welcome. I'm also following Brandon Johnson here on RUclips, and he has a little over 120 guitar tutorials of which mostly are Bluegrass. Take care and best regards.

    Awesome guitars. My dread is about 15000 serial numbers before yours and I'm just curious did yours come with a thick rubber sticker rosette?

    • @kidwilson3357
      @kidwilson3357  3 года назад

      I think mine is from around at least 2006 or newer. Mine did not have any type of rubber sticker rosette.

      Mine has that rubber rosette also.
      I bought my Entourage new for 319.99 back around 2013.
      I play it everyday along with my other Seagull which is the s6 Original.
      Both are really nice hand built guitars built in Canada.

    What’s this chord at 9:28?

    • @kidwilson3357
      @kidwilson3357  3 года назад

      Im not sure what this chord would be called. basically like an A minor position on the 3rd fret with your thumb over the top hitting the G note 3rd fret. basically hitting 4 strings and muting the others .Notes from top to bottom would be 3rd fret 6th string ( big string) G, muted 5th string, F# 3rd string 4th fret, B 4th string 4th fret, D 5th string 3rd fret, muted 6th E string optional. If that makes any sense lol.
