Nice Job Tom and Jim! I do think Jim's playing really showcases these guitars-so thank you for having him demo them. These two guitars do sound differently to my ear when I played them in a store today too, but it's not because that I used a capo on the 2nd fret of the S6 Original, and on the 3rd fret of the Entourage like you have done on your two videos. That puts them in different keys, so it is bound to affect the tone, and makes it harder to compare the two. The Entourage does have a narrower neck, and a shorter scale, so that probably has and effect on the tone as well (less mass in the neck). In another store, they didn't have the Entourage dreadnought, but the Excursion Walnut and there I preferred the S6 Original. Today I came home with the Entourage, which sounded a bit tighter, especially in the bass string than the S6-and it rings till the cows come home too! Pretty great deal for about $350 USD for the tone you get out of it. I was lucky enough to get a deal on an older Tric case without the cover-how they used to make them, and my wrists will be much happier for the light weight protection that offers. The Excursion also plays well fingerpicked (no nails), or flat picked, so the dynamics are there, soft or hard playing, it still sounds good. Above all, if you can, seek them out to play in person-as this always works best finding one that speaks to you and how you play. Thanks Seagull-great guitars! Barry
Just picked used Entourage Rustic a few days ago. Really like the way it plays and sounds! Very happy, and sounds and plays better than much more expensive guitars...!
From a Seagull mail sent to someone: They are the same. The difference is in the face that the top wood for Entourage are less aesthetically pretty. That's why they put this rustic finish.
I have an Entourage Rustic. I believe the nut width is smaller on the Entourage. Also, I believe the wood top has some visual flaws which is why it has the rustic finish. That does not change the sound.
Great dynamics from the guitar and Jim.
Jims playing is beautuful. He prolly could make a shoebox with elastics tied to it sound good.

Where can I listen to Jim more? What's his full name?

What's the name of the song he plays at 2:10? Thanks in advanced :)
Greg Murphy I think Jim was just playing some of his own stuff here!
Why would you do a guitar review with a capo on? I'm still curious as to how it sounds.
what to choose Seagull Entourage Rustic or Seagull S6 ORIGINAL????
Both have very similar specs! Which one do you like the look of more?
