I don’t know what’s crazier, the fact that you have commercial fire alarms throughout your whole house or the fact that you have scheduled fire drills that the whole family must follow.

@@ironmatic1 the alarm system in a regular home is kinda crazy in my opinion because most homes have smoke detectors, and a fire alarm system is usually reserved for big commercial buildings, stores, malls and schools, hotels/motels etc where there is more size and alot of people like say 100 inside a building.
@@gregorkrause i see it all the time. I service some youth homes, some houses built in the early 1900s, with commercial fire alarm systems, some very old. One had a system that was put in sometime in the 60s or 70s

Do you do these monthly like are family. They know when the Faraday 6226-W alarm is sounding that they need to evacuate. Last year I did a FD in the middle of the night.
What happens if it goes off in the middle of the night?

I get to set off the alarm at school on Wednesday! I know what your thinking: It’s quarantine! School is closed! Well, I was supposed to pull it April 14th for our drill... but covid showed up. But, the AMAZING principal and janitor, got an ok from the owner and we’re setting off the alarm in an empty building.

I plan on installing a wheelock AS in my brother’s room, and a Wheelock CH-70 chime strobe and a Wheelock RSS remote strobe in my room. I will have a Fire-Lite BG-12 in my room and a Simplex Dual Action T-Bar in my brother’s room. I will be getting the Fire-Lite MS-5090UD fire alarm control panel. Everything will be flush mounted.

I find it funny my school when we do fire drills they set it off and then right before we go in they silence it and reset it ware as at my elementary school the set it off and then the the let it go off for about 7-10 minutes and then silenced it until every one was out then they reset it also at my school now the only people who know how to reset it is the building mantince people you would think that the princabals would know how and also are school intercom at least once a year it doesn't work for a weak and the state i live in witch is IN schools are required to do a fire drill once a month a tornado 2 a year a lockdown once a year and a earthquake once a year

Stephen Michael Harding It depends. If the system is connected to the fire department, he would have to notify the alarm company. As this drill takes place in a house, I don’t think he would have contacted Simplex or whoever.
