    This was 1st Played on a 400 Acre Farm, just outside "Woodstock" New York in '69. BUT, rose to the top again in the '70's when Elton John used it on an Album.

    Awesome band and I wonder if Pete smashed that Gibson 335 in a later gig. I heard his roadies just kept gluing his guitars back together!

    It's unusual to see Pete with a Gibson ES-335...cool vid..

      I can't really tell the differance but its still not Pete's normal choice.

      I thought the 355 had the Vari-Tone, no?

    • @colintapp4876
      @colintapp4876 8 лет назад

      Dear Alan,your comment was correct.I dug out my American Guitars of the50's book and the ES355 SV is a stereo model with Varitone which can select 6preset tonal settings.It proved unpopular with players and was often disconnected,also note the split diamond on the headstock.I did not know this I copied it from my book.Good knowledge by you though.

      Yeah, both the 345 and 355 have the Varitone switch...and I do have a fair knowledge of Gibson guitars...and I own several myself...this will give you an idea...

    Where is this from? 1969 seems kind of late for black and white.

    This is not a live performance; neither the guitar nor the bass were plugged in. Besides, there is a second guitar that plays with distortion at 0:25 over the chords that Pete is strumming on his guitar

      Yute Hube eh that is pretty good. I will admit the central plot synopsis of the musical is actually incredible
