- How do you make America's best-selling truck better? Equip it with the luxury Lariat and off-road FX4 packages. In this episode we give you a closer look at the king of trucks.
The 2016 Ford F-150 4x4 SuperCrew FX4 takes the already-successful F-150 and ramps it up for more off-roading fun and luxury. There are a large variety of engine options available with the F-150, but this one features the 3.5-liter V6 EcoBoost that puts out 385-horsepower and 387-lbft of torque paired with a 6-speed automatic transmission.
The bed boasts a liner designed for extra durability and storable loading ramps which make loading and unloading this F-150 a breeze. A remote control lowers the gate, opens the doors, and starts the truck for even more convenience. Inside, the second row folds down for additional stowing capacity.
The 2016 Ford F-150 4x4 SuperCrew FX4 blurs the lines between luxury and work. To see this powerhouse in person, visit your nearby AutoNation Ford dealership [www.autonation...] at your convenience.
I just purchased my 2016 -XLT - V8 super crew a month ago. I LOVE it. It has 58k miles, magnetic grey with a clean Carfax and clean as a whistle, FX4 package with new tires and other "extras". I paid 37 out the door included a 4 yr warranty. The way they are selling around here in middle Georgia, If I would not have bought it then - it would not have lasted a week. I had already called about 2 other F150s in my area and and both times when the salesperson got on the phone, they had already sold it. I'm driving it as gently as i can and getting 19-21 mpg. The only thing it doesn't have is navigation, so I'm adding a Garmin 65 with voice commands. I'm all set now for the open road!
I just got a CPO 2016 supercrew 5.0 xlt sport in oxford white. This truck is a huge upgrade from my 2013. It’s soooo quiet even though it’s a V8
I have this exact truck but in black. I absolutely love this truck
Ryan Shuler how much did you pay for it
Salvador Sanchez got it on sale for $53,000 sticker was $61,000
Did yours come with the tailgate step?
nice review, love my new truck. I must point out a mistake in your review though. the performance and MPG figures you gave are for the 5.0L V8 not the 3.5L in your test truck.
for how much did you get it? Looking to get one soon
Christian 10 the msrp in most luxury trucks are about 60k and up get a used one i saw one exactly like the one in the video for like 36k with low miles
Found a used one with 17k miles for around $36k with the V8 engine. 😎
I was trying to find a used one, but they're still going for 35k and up, which is crazy.
big matt how many miles on the ones you’re looking at?
@@G_Gued anywhere between 20k to 30k
What should be a reasonable price for one? Currently looking at these too.
@@TheAlexis8520 depends on the model, I grabbed a Lariat with 24k miles on it for 34k
Someone was selling me one for 10k grey
can you fit a snowmobile in the bed?
People dogging on the v6 clearly haven't driven one. They definitely feel peppier
GREAT TRUCK BUT NO TOP END..
I have a wife, a 17 year old kid and a 90lbs dog. I am looking to get a pickup truck sometime next year 2020. I have watched your videos to try to see which would fit our needs best. The trouble is most all reviews focus on towing. My situation is a little different. My primary purpose is to haul the family and commute to work daily ( about 60/40 city/freeway) nothing extreme, and only about 50 miles a day round trip). The truck aspect is for the occasional trash haul, or helping someone move, or getting plywood at Home Depot for some project.
With all that being said, I want the most comfortable room, best fuel economy, reliability, safety and price. What is your recommendation?
Thank you..
@marco Lopez based on what you said you are looking for, you would do best with the full crew cab and the 2.7L V6 eco-boost engine. If you are not going anywhere off road or driving in snow a 2wd will do you just fine and save money up front and on fuel. I like having the 4WD myself. It sounds like you just want a a truck for what cars cannot so sometimes. The 2.7L V6 is the way for you to go in my opinion.
Yes that's eclxacly correct. Thank you very much for your great advice
This truck is so nice
My 2016 3.5 ecoboost 4x4 can beat anything at zero to say 80 klicks..the bottom end torque is unbelievable. The only drawback is on the highway..a comfortable cruising speed is only 110 or a bit more = no top end. sure I can pull out and pass in seconds but to hold say 140 cruising speed it aint there. I got the truck as a steal and paid 41k taxes in (CANADA) many options +TOW PACKAGE ... as it was 2 years old with only 12k on it. I love the truck but cant haul my dream...A FIFTH WHEEL. oh well next truck! My payload cap is 1600 and the hitch weight on the 26 foot outside length 5th wheel was 1400 so I would have been seriously over after my wife, me and a full tank of gas and gear in the truck it would have been 600 pounds over = truck stress. sure many do it but I am not many!
I have an issue with the interior light the blue and red . Red don't work anymore is there a way to fix that problem?
I have the same one!
Como se llama la parte que ba alrededor de los faros delanteros
What is wrong with v6 your gettin better gas mileage and more horsepower 🤔
I have the same truck accept 2017 in ruby red
I think this engine is sweet
i love the exterior and the performance, but that interior is just a shame compared to the GMC and RAM competitors. GMC now offers leather covered dash, soft touch upper doors, soft touch center tunnel, brushed aluminum, real wood and the ram offers more leather on the door and mid dash while ford still uses cheap hallow plastics. the interior is a generation behind the GMC and RAM competition.
Ram? really? the truck looks the same for the last ten years and has shit towing and shit fuel economy....
Justin Bouche stop it dude, how can you say the F-150 is behind Chevy/GMC when they are the only trucks on the market that do not offer rear seat HVAC?
Not everyone wants leather interior and Ford has leather interior once you get into the Lariat and above trim levels.
Cool.
I have a 2015 F150 Platinum. Ecoboost. (boosted $5500 bucks from me on repairs). It has 54k miles on it. It has all leather interior, heated massage seats and all the bells and whistles. It has a sprayed bed with a Roll and Lock bed cover. It has weather tech floor mats. It's currently rotting in my driveway. Why? Well it has only been seen at the dealership where I bought it. This same dealership just soaked me for $5500 on repair. Yep, hidden secret to these piles of poop, the dealer will hook line and sinker you. They will then soak your wallet. So the truck sits in my driveway cause we're still not sure if it's road safe. I'm driving my wife's old station wagon. So please learn from my mistake and buy GMC or Dodge or take the bus but don't buy one of these (sorry) piles of mechanical crap.
Ford will always be king followed by Dodge trucks
Check out the safety rating of the dodge....whew... not good.
Chevy/gmc will always be that middle truck. While they may never reign king they sure as hell won’t ever be behind.
V6🤔no thanks
Less $$$ for gas YES YES 😁
Why not...just to crusing arround.. after make some money at the office
It's faster then the 5.0 in the same truck
It makes almost as much hp as the 5.0 and makes more torque.... Educate yourself.
I have the 5.0 and I'm looking for the v6 now. The ecoboost is peppier and can tow more.
Way too expensive for a pickup.
MegaBlackley yup...
v6 hahahahah nooooo
A turbocharged v6.
3.5 ecoshitboost.
No thanks!!!!
Americans want 5.0 v8 engine or bigger v8 engine in our trucks.
Bill Peirce wrong
Eh…the V6 has better gas mileage and let’s be honest, for 75% of truck drivers that’s more important. The V6 has enough power to do what most people need it to do.
