Thank you for providing this insight and inviting feedback via comments. I have been wearing hearing devices for nearly 30 years starting with a cookie bite loss, and now more ‘flat’ loss, where most frequencies test between 65-70db. The great - battery life and water resistance - great job on these factors!; The good - edge+ mode and The Need Improvement- I have a constant chirp (it sounds like a feedback control chirp - it happens a lot, every minute, sitting in quiet), a lot more squeal putting in and taking out my aids compared to the Edge AI and less Bluetooth range than the Edge AI - connection drops off an aid when I put in my pocket. I hope my audiologist can get the feedback understood and corrected.

I've had Starkey IICs since the original SoundLens. I totally love them. Having the amplifier right next to your ear drum (if you are lucky and manage to get a truly deep canal ear impression) is the closest you can get to normal hearing. A couple suggestions though: 1) Even those IICs that are fitted deep in the canal are able to be physically touched, so why not allow Edge Mode on IICs with a button on their faceplate? Even of the user had to press on each ear (since IICs are non-wireless) it would be worth it. 2) (This is a huge topic but must be said), as someone who programs his own HAs, it is a fact that the fittings most everyone gets from the fitting formulas and audiogram are dreadful. Tweaking in the office cannot correct it because there are too many parameters. Massive user-involvement is required. And lacking that is why there are so many returns and hearing-aids-in-the-drawer. Those who keep their HAs anyway are missing out on what could be so much better. Starkey has been a leader in many ways in the past. Find a way to let users program their own HAs and wearer satisfaction (and use) will go off the charts. 3) In general, what matters most to most hearing aid users is naturalness and quality of sound. That's why we wear them! Their function is to rectify or compensate for a defect, but that gets lost often in their design and marketing. It's like textbooks. Most students don't care about all the unnecessary images that are in there. Those images are put in because it's what other people think students want. What students want most is clear, straightforward, understandable explanations. It's the same with hearing aid wearers and their hearing aids. What we want most is to hear again the way we once did.

This was great. Thank you for always keep us the end users informed. As a veteran I am actually getting ready to get fit with the Genesis ai and these updates sound fantastic. Thank you for Sound Bites I find these very informative.

@@starkeyhearingaids Well I am 48 hours into getting fit by the VA with my Starkey Genesis ai 24 RIC and so far the experience and hearing environment have been fantastic. And I share this as someone who has Oticon More 1’s and Phonax Lumity 90’s on my desk. Edge+ is mind blowing, and combined with the pro tip from right here at Starkey Sound Bites combining the Edge+ with the TAP feature is so cool. Find yourself walking into a challenging sound environment and Tap Tap, resolved. Battery life 😮 massive plus overall but I am somewhat who is on my phone a lot talking and streaming. Bravo Starkey 🎉

I need HAs and my audiologist is recommending the Audibel Intrigue AI. Are these the same as the Genesis AI? I know Audibel is a Starkey company. Ordering this week.

Hello! That is correct. Starkey is the parent company of Audibel. The Intrigue AI has the same features and format as Genesis AI products.

Will we see LE Audio - Common Audio Profile (CAP) be added to these hearing aids via firmware updates?

I just got my genesis pair. I have never worn hearing aids before so I am unable to compare. What I can say now is that I have not come across anything intolerable except few things such as squeaking doors (I need WD-40 as my wife has been saying). Talking about the health benefits of this device, please consider introducing something to provide bad posture reminders upon request. As you know the neck/head posture can be a leading predicator of overall bad posture in many situations. I was recently told by my Physio to keep my neck/head straight while looking at my iPad. Perhaps you do not need any hardware changes to incorporate this feature as you already have the built in hardware for the fall detection. I really enjoyed this interview. I am looking forward to complete my trial period.

Has the firmware update been released? Or when do you anticipate releasing the launch of it?

Yes, this firmware update has already been released. If you have bluetooth hearing aids, you can apply the update through the My Starkey app. Tap My Hearing > My Settings > About my hearing aids and follow the on-screen instructions.

Regarding Starkey Evolv AI from CENAUDI MX, Playa del Carmen, Q.R.
I bought Starky Evolv AI and they didn't work, the techs couldn't fix them and they wouldn't give me a refund even within the 30 days. Terrible, terrible experience! they don't stand behind them at all. They need to work on customer service not engineering.
