Wow! As a woodworking enthusiast, I'm absolutely blown away by the Xtool P2 laser cutter showcased in this video. Its six unique features promise to revolutionize woodworking. The precision and accuracy demonstrated are mind-blowing, and I can't help but imagine how this technology could enhance my craft. I particularly love that it can be used off line, for those who have their laser in a shed! I'm curious to know more about its capabilities, limitations, and see more examples of stunning projects created with this amazing tool. Thank you for sharing this incredible innovation with the woodworking community!

I was just thinking the same thing. I was going back and forth between a CNC and a laser and got the CNC first. I'm sure glad I did.

Only machine that I can 99% rely on is my CNC. Lasers require a lot more dialling in and faffing with. Change the supplier of your Plywood - CNC doesn't care, but the Laser may well do. Each to their own, both great tools.

I've been looking for something just like that ever since they first started coming out with Lazer engraving machines. They had them industrial sized ones, but they were way too big and expensive.

HOLY LASER BEAMS, BATMAN! I am extremely excited about this machine! X-Tool seems to have really listened to the market and filled in a lot of the gaps when compared to the Glowforge and the other desktop models like the GweikeCloud. It is an investment, yes, but I think it will be completely worth it. I think the biggest sellers for me is the batching feature and the toothpick engraving! Can't wait to get your long-term review. Thanks, Andy! - Joe

Hahaha, yes! They listened to what the market wanted for sure

Those are pretty sweet. The only thing that annoys me with these feature rich desktop ones is that they cost as much or more than much larger and faster CO2 lasers. I mean I can get a 100+ Watt Ometech that can handle more than 48" width sheet goods and it's much faster, oh and cuts through more. But I know there is a target group. I would love all those features though, I hope to see others catch up.

What type of table do you have the P2 on? Is it one that you plan on using when you are actually using the laser? It looks like it fits the machine perfectly. Will it wobble? Thanks!

    • @AndyBirdBuilds

This is an old office desk. Any solid work bench, countertop, or table will do. There's not a lot of force from the machine running, just the overall weight of it

Now THIS is interesting. Only if these lasers could easily cut 3/4” without massive burns, then I’d get it. Maybe in the next version.

How thick of birch plywood and acrylic can it cut through? How fast can it do that? Please make another vid about its cutting ability.

Hey Andy! Does the P2 work well with the lightburn software with all of the P2 features?? I have the D1 pro 20 watt and I know that there are some finicky issues related to lightburn with that. Is it more seamless with the P2?

    • @AndyBirdBuilds

Hey! No, some of the features will only work with Xtools software.

@@AndyBirdBuilds no I wasn't saying it was a bad thing... I just to get to the point where companies are sending me stuff on my channel for review..... don't listen to the haters..... that's what they do best! KEEP GOING!

Honestly, I don't care if you buy this laser. That's not the point. I'm simply showing the features that are not found in the desktop co2 laser market anywhere else. I'd love to have you around, but if you're not interested in that type of content, then I'd suggest you unsubscribe.

It's actually very well priced for the market and what it is capable of. xTool sent this to me in exchange for my review. That information is disclosed at the beginning of the video in the top left (required by law) and in the video description.

      You're correct. It's not a review. 👍

What’s the purpose of having the machine there if your not showing how the machine works live. There’s 100 videos on the p2, but almost nobody uses it for review. Only talking and showing material from their own site.
Would be nice to see a proper and truthful review of the machine. I’m interested in it. But wouldn’t spend 5000 without a seeing real users use it. And have a hard time to believe that someone who receive a 5000 dollar machine would talk negative about it.
