+Daniel Tyler Yes, summer of '74: that was happening. I unapologetically love indulging in nostalgia. There are my Mom and Dad, still standing, still breathing, still together. My sisters. I was just a little kid. But things were better back then. It was safer. I would ride my bike to the mall and park it next to the building. No need to lock it up. Ahhh BTO What great memories of the 1970s. No disrespect to anyone but this is music at its purist form. Hard, raw and full on............. Much love to all the BTO fans from far away New Zealand!!!!! What a pity the young people of today will never experience such pure magic................xxxxxx
I was a 9 year-old kid on Thanksgiving day 1974. We had just arrived at my grandparents house, when my 20 year-old uncle came out the back door singing this song. I still remember that day vividly, and every time I hear this song, I go back to that day... My grandparents are gone now, my uncle is retired, and we no longer gather at Thanksgiving because we have our own families now. But every year at this time, I make sure to listen to this song for one more trip down memory lane...
8 years old and alone at a terrifying boarding school in 1973...the lead guitar in this song...the drumming in this song...are probably the only good things I had to cling to that year. Thanks BTO.
Anyone who grew up in the 70's couldn't help but love BTO!! I grew up in the Detroit area, so Canadian rock was as important as Motown!!! BTO forever!!!
