Want a girl friend? Accept rejection. Walk up, tell her your name, ask for hers. If she is unbearably rude, thank your lucky stars she showed her true colors right away coz you don't need none of that anyway. Fly to the next flower. And at the end of the day, regardless of the outcome, everyone, you, them, your friends will all respect you more for having the balls to go after what you want.

+Daniel Tyler Yes, summer of '74: that was happening. I unapologetically love indulging in nostalgia. There are my Mom and Dad, still standing, still breathing, still together. My sisters. Flipping burgers for a buck and a half an hour. I had a waistline, not a coastline. Daily interaction with people, not hand-held computerized devices. And the sweetest music, on vinyl, on the radio.

I would return home and mom would ask me where I had been. I told her. She would say "next time tell me where you are going." I would never have let my children go to the mall alone ! I was a 9 year-old kid on Thanksgiving day 1974. We had just arrived at my grandparents house, when my 20 year-old uncle came out the back door singing this song. I still remember that day vividly, and every time I hear this song, I go back to that day... My grandparents are gone now, my uncle is retired, and we no longer gather at Thanksgiving because we have our own families now. But every year at this time, I make sure to listen to this song for one more trip down memory lane...

The song and video are a classic from the '70s. Musicians from this era were talented and gave all their soul when performing. They gave an excellent performance for their public or fans. I can understand the lyrics and enjoy listening to the musical instruments. Only in North America.
