So sad that Robbie Bachman, the Drummer of Bachman Turner Overdrive passed away. BTO will always be one of my top favorites Rock Bands!!! Comforting prayers to his family & friends & fans.
My 85 year old mom actually liked this song ! What blew me away is that she even knew all the lyrics. She would start dancing to it. Where that came from I'll never know.
There’s good music being made today as well. There’s just tons of questionable music as well. Frank Zappa nailed when he described the music business in the 90’s as more difficult to do cool things than the late sixties. “I’m the Slime”
This song and Sweet Home Alabama came out at about the same time in the early ‘70’s; I was 28 at the time. For years they were my two favorite songs, and nearly 50 years later they’re still two of my all time favorites. I come here often and this song puts a smile on my face every time. I’m old, but I ain’t dead.
These guys were at the very top of their game when I was in high school from year 1972 to 1976. We rocked at school dances to their music. Talk about legs hurting from dancing to their music. Flopped and slept great after dancing. It was a glorious, fun time! Sorry those days are over. BTO just played at the casino here in Connecticut and they were incredible! RIP Robbie & Tim Bachman. Thanks for the music! You are in our hearts and never forgotten!
I could have swore that was Shaffer 🇨🇦 on the keyboard. I wasn't sure until I saw him raking the keys.... ❤ great band, great musicians! Timeless⏳️ songs, they Transcendent genre
BTO could be heard full blast in my GTO car stereo across the HS parking lot surrounded by my buddies, all the way down in Laredo Texas. BTO kicked ass.
How can you listen to this song and not get up dance, sing your heart out and not play the air guitar?! BTO and the Guess Who! Amazing Canadian bands! This is the song of my youth! Thanks for posting!
And Fred Tirner on bass. He has an ever beyyer rock voice! There would have been no BTO with the T - Turner! God bless Randy and Fred - a great team! 🙌 🙏 ❤️ 💖 ✨️
@@johnkuipers7829 Right...I was just wondering how those white hairs in my auburn hair comes from...guess it has to do with how quickly the years go by! 🎵
Paul always made the guest bands look and sound good on Letterman for many years and this is a good example of just how good of a musician he is in his own right. Being an old dog myself, I like to see old dogs let out to howl now and then! LOL I remember Elvis had jewelry with the initials "TCB" ..... takin care of business! Great performance. From what I understand, the inspiration for the song came from a blind sound engineer that made it to work everyday by taking the train into the city, all on his own. He was good at what he did and was reliable, which is more than can be said for some fully abled folks....terrific song to sing while you're rushing to be at work on time!!
I’m disabled and I still work my ass off everyday. Keep it moving everybody. We all need to work together, get along and respect each other. The world needs to comply. We need to learn to love one another. ✌🏼 to all
Oh man this is my favourite song. I'm self employed and just love the fun in the words - " it's the work we avoid and we're all self employed" has go to be the most ironic line for any self employed person. I think its great that these 70s rockers are bringing their music into these times 2013. It sure beats the hell out of the CRAP that's made today. ROCK ON RANDY!!

I drove a 72 Nova !
I'm 52 and saw them live with VanHalen when I was 17. They are timeless!! Sound awesome!!!
@1969jodylandry I saw that tour, and BTO also had Leslie West of Mountain so they would finish their set with "Mississippi Queen".

If you're not rocking your head to this music, you just don't know good clean fun when you hear it. Nothing more innocent than classic rock! BTO FTW!
It's nowhere near innocent, but good old rock and roll is the best genre there is. No genre can ever or will ever top rock and roll.
