Maybe it's just me but I would've let you drive solo. Sitting awkwardly silent in the passenger seat must be.... uh awkward. And pointless. Plus it adds dead weight.
8:55 You can see the clutch delay valve (CDV) slipping the clutch just a tiny bit if you get on the throttle too quick in between fast WOT shifts at redline.
love my 2012 v6 coupe... 5at tho :\ might not be the fastest car but it's fun to drive. super underrated on backroads, handles great for fwd and made it even better with rear sway bar upgrade

It’s a shame they don’t make accords with them anymore. I got a Honda passport with the same engine, unfortunately rn it’s the sportiest application of the j series left 😔
Turbos are great. But they would muffle the induction howl and exhaust bark by about 80%. This V6 is already pretty torquey as it is and adding 40-80 hp would make this FWD coupe a handful, and not in a good way.
This engine sounds too good. The top of second gear right after 9:00. And the beginning of fourth after 9:06. Very harmonic and beautiful! I have a 2020 Kia Soul 2.0 6MT and I like to pretend it's an Accord haha.
my 2011 2door 6 speed accord seams to have a lot of torque drift at high speed shifting,. sometimes pulls to the right and sometimes to the left.. Any thoughts? have only owned the ar 6 months and am second owner. It has been well kept as far a I can tell. 76,000 miles... Next stop is to the Honda Dealership.
I have had mine for a little over a year now and love it... it’s an automatic though and I have new tires but when I launch it there’s an insane amount of wheel spin. Any knowledge on how I could launch quicker?
@@twoeightythreez it's still great but a limited slip differential and /or better suspension would be incredible . it has a lot of torque steer & spinning the wheels in first 3 gears

manual v6 9th gens are somewhat borderline unicorns so I'd say you can't really go by blue book values as much as a 4 banger where you find them in every lot corner.
Definitely has an aftermarket intake, either short ram or cold air, but even without it, it still sounds nice. I don't think crosstours come in a manual, that's the key difference, he was able to stay in vtech longer and whenever he wanted.

This things will rise up in value that is for sure now that Honda only offers a crappy CVT. They too will become 100% EV soon.

I have one of these and agree that it sounds absolutely sexy but a naturally aspirated hi revving V8 still sounds better.
The manual transmission is really fun to drive, and it's sad to see Honda Discontinue it on the Accord.

FWD is definitely the Achilles heel with this car. Its otherwise almost perfect.
