Karjalainen.... very easy to pronunce. I like that they start putting the connectors on top of the pedal. Those numbered dials I don't like much. Sounds are inspiring.
For me the Overdrive is so much better than the distortion. Much tighter sound. yes riverside is tops but not many can can afford or have reasonable excuse for owning one. often down to cost is it not.
I don't need or want either of them. I do like the enclosures. They look galvanized, but it's probably just the paint. They look like the pressure switches on my water pump. It gives you the impression they are rugged and won't rust. They would probably hold up better than me. Thanks for the demo.
It’s all in the name … they have used hammer paint. Hammer paint (or hammered paint) is a special lacquer with a surface that looks like hammered metal when dried. It is also known as «hammertone» paint :)
I had all 9 fender hammertone pedals and got rid of 5 of them. Im my opinion the chorus, flanger, delay & reverb are the only decent ones and are worth having. The overdrive distortion fuzz and metal were dark and muddy and didn’t sound good to my ear anyway. I didn’t like the space delay either.
Nice review. For the Distortion did you try tweaking the internal pots to adjust the mids and high end to suit your setup? Like someone said, the factory settings are probably suited to brighter Fender amps?
Both sound very dark and muddy even fuzzy at times with that set-up..def made for brighter cleaner amps and both probably need a boost as they seem a bit underpowered...from my understanding these were developed with stacking in mind hence the price point
I’m iffy on the distortion, but it probably does sound different I guess running it through a different amp, although I do prefer running distortions into dirty amps like your set up.. But I thought the overdrive sounded solid. At least for the price. I wouldn’t mind picking it up to play around with. I do appreciate semi budget OD pedals Great review as always though
I have the overdrive one. I use it with a les paul and i have 0 noise at any volume of my bugera v55. Maybe its single coil thing idk... but anyway it works fine as a booster in the gain channel and on the clean channel i wish it had just a bit more gain. Overall its fine. Not great but works 🙂
Gee Wizz Elmo.. I can probably afford a "Fender Hammertone" pedal or 2? But I don't have a Fender made Custom Strat. or a Marshall Plexi & matching Cab ..- Nor am I silly enough to pay the current Prices for either of the afore mentioned pieces of gear. And so? As I do not have the Custom Strat. or Plexi & cab - .. So it is extremely unlikely that I could emulate the sounds that you are inferring that I can get with these pedals. So how the "heck" does your Review/Demo, Have anything to do with me? I can answer that.. NOTHING. I wonder how many of your viewers have a custom Guitar and a Custom Strat. or a Marshall Plexi - they can crank up anytime they like? Just Say'in Hombre.

I won the overdrive pedal today in a comp
I think it would have been nice to see the review on the stage right amp. Nice Demo!

True. But I'd prefer an SD-1 over this :)
For now got enough OD/DS,I was eyeballing the reverb of this Fender line of pedals.
Yet those OD/DS pedals sound very good, not just for the money.
I'd love to see you review the EHX Glove OD/distortion. A fairly priced pedal that's had some very good write-ups.
It's well deserved. Good pedal, knocked off my board by a Wampler Pantheon. EHX Glove punches above it's price
Just bought the hammertone fuzz and it sounds pretty good.

Thanks for the review Elmo!! BTW… you look just like that teacher that shreds man!!! 😎✌️
Thanks! 😃
Thanks for the review Elmo!
You should try out the zoom g1 four multi effect pedal it has all the effects one would need for a hundred bucks
Cheers! I've not really been into multu effects. Maybe I'll try something like that at some point though.
Cheers for the review Elmo ;) keep it up ..!!
Thanks, will do!

Didn't do that.

Guaranteed they made them to be used with fender amps in mind

Great review as always though
Thanks!
Fender Hammertone Distortion is my dream pedal but can't afford to buy it😢.
Some time ago you did review of Joyo pedals, they sounded much better, but you did not like them at the time. Good review.
Cheers!
Thank you 😊
No problem
The chorus hammertone is really really good
Cool! 😊
This Distortion pedal is probably made for Fender amps, clean and bright.
Might be.
Very fuzzy, even with you pulling the treble all the way up and scooping the bass. Probably made for amps with brighter sound.

The noise is the pedal with that amp.
!@#$ING AWESOME \,,/...
In us the price is the same
Cheers!
Yuk !
😀

As I do not have the Custom Strat. or Plexi & cab - ..
