The 3 Series is basically a Rat circuit, Josh just can't decide if it's a clone or a variant. It's fun to pair it with a boost (Bad Bob) to achieve ultimate chugga chugga. Also, props for the Local H riff.
Should have turned the gate off when the gain was all the way down, I'm guessing that was killing the natural decay. Love the JHS pedals look, love the generic supermarket brand 80-90's look... But not a fan of how they sound.
I think this might be controversial but for my use, the Maestro is what I would go with. I would like to have the JHS though as a nice compliment for some not-so metal stuff! Great review as always!
Ryan, if you get your hands on the new Kraken pedal, can you PLEASE play a Jazzmaster through it? With various settings on the knobs? Much appreciated if you do!!
Yes, these krakens JUST got announced today on Andertons. It’s one more step removed from the amps and preamp pedals, serving exclusively as dirt pedals.
@@60CycleHumcast love your channel Ryan. I like fuzz more too. Any favorites in the $100 price range? I’ve been without fuzz for a while now so I’m ready to add it back to my chain but I’m stuck with $100 budget. Ugh… Thanks inflation! Anyway, thanks for all the awesome content you put out, one of my favorite channels on RUclips.
What are the odds, both you and Josh broke a string in a video for the first time ever in the span of less than 1 day (though I don't know when you recorded the video).
Funny thing is that so far I don't think we ever have seen a pedal that sounds bad on Ryan's hands. Maybe that's the magic of that Mighty Beard.
The Maestro made itself onto my watch list on Reverb, surprisingly great.
I am liking the Maestro! Love these shoot outs hope to see more!
wow the Maestro sounds really good to my ears. the noise gate is a big plus too.
As a heavy metal player defiled by distortion, my choice of amp would not have been a Fender Princeton Reverb, but that's me and I'm not you. 😂
The Maestro does it for me. I have been impressed with the entire Maestro line. (And I consider myself a "Fender" person).
Yea the 3 distortion doesn’t cut it for me
The maestro tho 🤘
I think Wampler just trumped all of these with the Phenom :P
18:58. And suddenly it's 1996. Nice Local H content, man.
I am impressed with the Fender pedals I've heard so far in this series. I wouldn't mind having any of the three on my board though.

Bound for the Floor brought back memories of a long gone radio station I loved in HS.

Dig this series of shootouts! thanks for doing them!!
That Maestro sounds like Ride the Lightning!
All three on = Swedish Death Metal enters the room!
Looking forward to the Revstar with a le trem man. It's exactly what I'm planning to do with mine. When I own one...
I'm most impressed with the fender pedal.
I want a black Revstar to doom with.

I don't know about that pedal, who makes it?
@@60CycleHumcast Victory, the same people who make the amps. It's a UK brand, highly spoken of from what I know of them.

Yamaha, please re-issue the SGV and SG-3C models from back in the day, Revstar is gorgeous.
Ryan nailed it. The JHS is actually usable.
"Hammertone" is the tone for me!
I just watched a JHS video where josh broke a string for the first time too, lol.
That Baritone into a couple Sunn Beta Leads.. now that would doom.
Hi Ryan, what effect do you like the most?
Fuzz or distortion??
Fuzz

Creo que soy el mas feliz que hayas cortado la cuerda , por que tengo el mismo pedal jhs y la misma guitarra😂😂😂

Viva la distortion!
I liked the Maestro but buying it would violate my own personal policy of not giving money to Gibson
The Hammertone is way too bassy for my liking
Just get it used.
You haven't experienced crap until you've broken a string in the middle of a song during a gig with 300 people watching you. That really sucks.
Apparently, the recent quality of strings is suffering.
Naw. I was just digging in too hard.
Ryan Burke looks like Ryan Fitzpatrick if you squint.
Best Distortion Pedal Ever?
Shame you swapped out the Revstar. That Strat hurts the eyes and ears. Alo some of the replies need reporting.
I just use an DS-1.
Woulda been cool to hear it against these three...
Fender !!
Love your channel and videos, but I have to draw the line at Green Day. Down vote on anymore Green Day riffs. 🙃
I was a teen in the 90s, I can't help it.
@@60CycleHumcast So was I! But I've only been playing guitar for 2 years, so maybe I skipped that urge. Up vote on all of your fun content.
I upvote twice to offset 😉🤘
Effects pedals = boring 😢
Nah.
The towns ppl suck obviously and have horrible taste
