Thank you for the tour Sinead. The graveyard was beautiful and so peaceful. The memorial for the little boy was breathtaking and very sad. May they all rest in peace.
My parents and brother are buried just up from Medi it really has to be seen to believe how beautiful it really is. And his parents are happy for people to go inside and sit. There grief was so visible it broke my heart seeing them under a gazebo but their love truly shone through with his memorial ❤
Beautiful! I love older cemeteries - I've always found them peaceful and soothing. I enjoy seeing the care and artistry that loved ones put into memorials for the deceased.

Hi! My name is Rhonda am from Nebraska USA. I just started watching the videos about three weeks ago. I love the tours in the gravesites you have such respect and sympathy for the dead. Am on a fix income so there no way I will ever be able to come to London or your beautiful Ireland. So this is the only way I would see these city’s. Uk is the only place I ever wanted to see. So thank you for the tours. I really enjoy them you make them so fun.
I love walking through these cemeteries with you. My Mum worked for the Cemeteries Dept of London Borough of Lewisham & so did my Father in law. They arranged our blind date (been together for over 52 yrs now) & we had our Engagement Party in the large office of father in law in Ladywell Cemetery.

Thank you Sinead for another fascinating tour. I love what your mother said about the graveyard by your house. I'd think that the dead would make wonderfully quiet neighbors. I love the elaborate grave markers and all of the symbolism. Where i live in the US, grave markers are way less elaborate. Usually just a headstone.
I'm envious that Sinead lives beneath a cemetery but am thrilled with planned tours for the Halloween season. I've seen so many tours by Sinead later copied by others but Sinead's always remains the best.

Thank you Sinead. The cemetery is so beautiful and peaceful. In the cemeteries I've visited in the U. S. not as many burial plots are outlined with rock or stone. Your cemeteries are much more natural with all of the leaves everywhere on the ground and the grass growing over the plots. Some of the trees you show just as you are signing off are huge. They must have been planted many, many years ago.
Harold Pinter, husband of Antonia Fraser is buried here. But most important to me is Marigold Churchill. She was the daughter of Winston and Clementine. She died at aged 3. She was buried here as temporary burial because Winston was the head of the Admiralty and could not spend the time to transport her to St. Martin's Church in Bladen in Oxfordshire where the entire Churchills are buried. When they could move her they found out that the policy of Kensal Green does not allow exhumation. She is buried alone. I had contacted the management of the cemetery regarding where exactly she was buried. They kindly sent me a map. I never visited Kensal Green because someone told me it was not in a safe neighborhood and that it would not be wise for me to go on my own. I also believe the cemetery goes along the Regent Canal. I do love your cemetery tours. Btw, Edith Piaf is indeed buried at Pere Lachaise. I have visited her grave. I do not agree with you hat Kensal Green reminds you of Pere Lachaise as that cemetery has cobble-stone paths. Best to you, Jane, Philadelphia
i Googled the name of the little boy with that most stunning memorial that was ever built, Medi Mehra. what a very tragic story😓😓😓his parents turned their anguish, pain into something so beautiful yet so poignant. you can feel their sadness by looking at it. thank you so much for this video💕 love from the Philippines.
What a truly respectful woman with such class and elegance in the way she presents these tours, Sinead, you are withhout doubt one of the very best tour guides i have ever seen and I've seen a few! I am absolutely addicted to you're videos, i'm hooked!! I would love to see a tour of Muswell Hill, Colney Hatch Lane and its history, having been brought up there by Irish parents, i haven't seen this beautiful place in so many years, caught between two worlds , the green fields of Ireland and the adorable Muswell Hill. I have never seen anything done in this area, with its big Victorian Psychiatric Hospital, its reported plague site at the cementry and its old market at colney hatch. Sinead, your voice is adorable also, so well spoken and warm and your lovely mother with her wise warming words and how true thise words are... stay as you are, beautiful, dignified and intelligent ❤️
Thank you for this tour! The Brunel’s, Bergman and Rickman to name only a few of the individuals who share this lovely resting place. Another of your interesting and entertaining videos.

They are coming over to the UK name and I’ve told them how brilliant your channel is for the amazing walks you do around our graveyards and cemeteries. I hope they subscribe. My husband have completed 2 of the 7 and this will be the 3rd. Thank you ❤️
I accidently came across your channel by searching for tour of cemeteries. I have always found them to be soulfully peaceful. I live in Ontario, and we have beautiful sites but nothing so historic. I absolutely love following your tours. Thank you so much for sharing!

I really enjoy your tours of these old cemeteries and we have some here in Baltimore Maryland that are very old with beautiful statuary and headstones , mausoleums and such as Greenmount and Loudon Park ( Where the funeral scene is the 1972 Mafia movie " The Godfather " was filmed ) . There is also Westminster Churchyard where Edgar Allen Poe and his wife and mother in law are buried . I was in this cemetery on a damp , chilly, overcast day in November and while I was the only living person there I did not feel alone . Your walking tours are great and I know I'll watch them more than once .
Thank you. I enjoyed this very much. I love reading graves in old cemeteries. I am in the US and cemeteries vary greatly in their appearances according to age. Needless to say they still are interesting.

Thank you so much for this great tour of this cemeteries. I have always been a lover of cemeteries, maybe because me mom was a secretary at one of the largest cemeteries is our area. I've always said that England had the most beautiful cemeteries in the world. Each one looks to be made with a great deal of care and they seem so individual. I love the way they seem open to the public more so than the USA. Thanks again for the wonderful tour.

Hi thank you for the tour,I’ve always loved graveyards find them so piecfull. I don’t get out much because I have disabilities so I feel like I’m actually out with you.very interesting too.
Great video and stories. I think a nice touch would have been noting the pub you passed, the Mason's Arms, named for the stone Mason's that created the gravestons. Also, a lovely little sign on the on the opposite side of the road, on the sign of an old Mason's shop.

So interesting Sinead, thank you for your research & respectful commentary. I'm really looking forward to the Tower Hamlets Cemetery video. Thank u for this tour. U did a wonderful job. U explained a lot more than other tours. Love ur presentation of the area particularly the royal section. Would u some day entertain going to the Nottingham Military section of that cemetery where the Polish pilots r buried from WWII. I understand I have a cousin buried there. He died in 1991. Ziebignew Klatkiewicz. He also owned the business called 'Klat's' that appeared in one of ur videos. No hurry. When ur in the area. I am in the US in Wisconsin & think my traveling days r done. Thanks.
That memorial for the young boy is beautifully painful. My first thought was what a grand structure, something like from centuries past. Then it hit me , the money that was spent and love that went into it should of be going towards his hobbies, education and all the things that as parents we stride to provide for our children to have a happy healthy future. That was taken from them . I have 3 sons , and i am sat here with tears rolling down my face, i can’t imagine the pain those parents endure. . . It’s a beautiful space they created.
Hiya Sinead Thankyou for another great tour. I’ve watched the others & look forward to the rest. Oh yes a spooky Halloween tour. Blessings luv Ontario Canada 🐝🇨🇦

Hi Sinead, Thanks for these well informed tours. I dont know why Brunel gets so much publicity for the GWR as the LNER was much larger and predated it --- the Stockton and Darlington railway for eg. Thanks again.
Great walk ! Checking out all your other videos. RUclips is becoming like digital islands of families, isn't it ? The suggestions, the A.I. is getting better, so people can find the channels they love... Just subscribed, Tom, Belgium.
Very much enjoy your cemetery and park tours. Respect and reverence are just good manners, don’t let anyone tell you different. Question regarding the cemetery upkeep, are there employees or volunteers that mow and clear debris? Is there a group that attempt upkeep of the headstones and memorials, or is that left to families?

Glad you liked this one, Julie!
Great video and stories.
I think a nice touch would have been noting the pub you passed, the Mason's Arms, named for the stone Mason's that created the gravestons. Also, a lovely little sign on the on the opposite side of the road, on the sign of an old Mason's shop.
Thanks for the extra info, Alex! If you haven't done so already, you can hopefully check out our back catalogue of virtual London tours ruclips.net/user/FreeToursbyFootLondonvideos. There is more where this came from.

So interesting Sinead, thank you for your research & respectful commentary. I'm really looking forward to the Tower Hamlets Cemetery video. St Patrick's Catholic Cemetery in Leytonstone is also well worth a visit another Victorian graveyard with interesting monuments and final resting place Of Mary Kelly (Jack the Rippers final victim).

Thanks.
Delighted you enjoyed it Lucy
Will certainly keep your request in mind next time I’m down there
Thanks for watching
Sinead
Beautiful cemetery
It really is Daniel
Thanks for watching
Sinead
Glad you liked this one, Daniel :)
Such a thought-provoking comment, Catherine. Thank you!
Hi sinead absolutely loving your tours. Have you done a tour of Marylebone cemetery , my grandparents are buried there,
Not yet!

Love Sinead! Just been there myself to do a video
Great minds..!
Hi Sinead,
Thanks for these well informed tours. I dont know why Brunel gets so much publicity for the GWR as the LNER was much larger and predated it --- the Stockton and Darlington railway for eg.
Thanks again.
Always a pleasure
Great walk !
Checking out all your other videos. RUclips is becoming like digital islands of families, isn't it ? The suggestions, the A.I. is getting better, so people can find the channels they love...
Just subscribed, Tom, Belgium.
Welcome to the channel, Tom!
