BTW, this only confirms what we had believed as kids. Bruce Lee was indeed one of the best martial arts fighters of his day, light years ahead of his peers, and is in fact the most influential martial artist of all time. It is good to see the tide is now turning back in his favor since, for so long, folks were bashing him as a fake.
Alot of people that bash him listen too much to the myths instead of finding out about who the real man was or studying his work, and I'm pretty sure most of them are probably mommy's basement dwellers who have never been in any kind of gym in their lives as well because most people I know that I have trained with and most fighters that I've heard talk about him all have good things to say, he had flaws like anyone else but as a martial artist and philosopher he was a genius
Nothing do of his day if he be alive you still can't touch him size weight no matter but what you can do with that heave vs lightweight is who faster shoot hit and you no have glue or idea about Bruce fast light super speed before you move you be down to sleep.
@@GoldenbellTrainingI have seen the original story narrated in Cantonese by Philip Kong over 10 years ago but wasn't cyber savvy enough to retrieve the video. I never tire of thinking about the time I spent with Bruce because only a few of us had the memories that are part of his legacy. I was a heavyweight boxer in the Air Force. Over a period of four years I had more than a hundred fights and never lost a single one. I had a big ego and saw myself as the toughest man in the world. I was 5 feet 10 inches tall and weighed 225. I could knock a man out with both hands. Then I met a small 135 lb 5 ft 7 kid who believed his martial arts skills could beat anyone. I decided to explain the reality of fighting to him and proceeded to show him what street fighting is. Needless to say, I learned humility in about 5 seconds. Not only did he stop me cold, but he also tied me up so he could hit me to his heart's content, and the only thing I could do was... nothing. Later, I reviewed all my previous skills, including boxing, and threw them all out because they were impractical compared to Bruce's skills. - James DeMile

Didn't Chan die in a car accident in Malaysia? Mixed feelings about Chan and how that secret filming turned out. I love your videos big time! The Fist of the Unicorn video is magnificent, one of the very best. . I read the excellent book, The Real Fights of Bruce Lee. I really wish this incident was included. There are lessons in this fight for everyone which you perfectly pointed out. Big up!
I've read about this in one of my very old Bruce Lee books from the 70's. The witness also said Bruce Lee had another challenge match at the home of a local police chief, it was supposedly held in secret with Bruce winning in seconds again. People need to give Bruce Lee his due, he took on all comers, and backed up what he said.
@@GoldenbellTraining Ok, you know about that one also. Bruce Lee knew his power, so he just slapped his challengers so he wouldn't break their jaws, just sting them.

The term “Kungfu stuntmen” goes back to the Cantonese Opera, in Hong Kong they are called “Stuntmen”, in Mainland China “Kungfu Specialists”, most refer to themselves as “Action Actors.” who mostly came from the Chinese Opera, where they received gymnastics and martial arts training daily from childhood, and spread out into films. The likes of Jackie Chan, Sammo Hung, Donnie Yen, Cia-Yung Liu, Stephen Tung, Billy Chan were all the first generation of contemporary stunt men. Quite the thing to watch a young Sammo throw that chubby body around just as skilled as the rest, but he had trouble breaking into stunts because he was deemed to fat to double for anyone, except a stout female actress Lydia Shum. Jackie began at age eight in the movie "Big and Little Wong Tin Bar." There were various groups that stood out in the opera’s ‘Nine Wonder Kids’, Jackie and Sammo were from the ‘Seven little fortunes’ that went on to be Kungfu stuntmen, actors, and directors.
LOL, yes I have heard these stories for awhile. The way I had it, was the dude was ordered by the studio to goad Bruce into the fight and it was the studio themselves secretly filming Bruce for publicity, or some other purpose. Whether or not Bruce was in on it is another bone of contention. I am a martial arts instructor, actor / shunt performer. There is always someone on set BTS filming and taking pictures of the leading actors, normal for us anyway. A Chinese film company came to film in an old abandoned prison outside our prairie oil town, we were a popular place for westerns. A casting director showed up at my academy looking for Martial arts extras. I am 6'1", at the time had a big black beard and bushy pony tail down to my butt. She looked at me and said the Caucasian dude playing the prison gang leader dropped out, would I be interested. OK! Only time I was the towering actor on a set. No one spoke English, there was one translator, the choreographer mimed all the fight scenes for me, "You do, I do, he do, we have lots fun, OK". The director only knew Rehears, Ready, Action, Cut, Do again, and many cuss words. They didn't film with sound, they dubbed the dialogue later, which is why all those old movies the dialogue is all out of sync. Ah the memories. 😁😁👍👍🙏🙏
Is it true that Bruce Lee had a exhibition match with Sumo Hung during the making of Enter The Dragon. I'm not talking about the scene in the movie. This was behind the scenes. I heard Sumo held his own
It took place on Fist of Unicorn, not on the ETD set. I just rewatched Enter the Clones of Bruce Lee and there Ko confirmed it was on the set of Unicorn.
Bruce double slapped him so hard that Chuck Norris' pants fell down. Why? Bruce Lee won his championship belt buckle (at 9:45). But he only wore it to keep his Wrangler jeans from exploding at the hip.
The tiger and crane set of hung far doesn't have any acrobatics though as Hung gar doesn't have any acrobatics in general.. Makes the story a bit dodgy
Anybody else perceive the slap in the face as a slap in the face by the way? The way I interpret it is like a spank. Kind of like "Get the f#($ out of here kid.": He did it twice, mind you. Would be much more natural to come back with a backfist, no? I think Bruce liked the kid, does that make sense Prince?
These. People. Beat him not. Fort. Ring. Bru ce. Fight. Toilet. Real. Deal. Miss me. Not. No1. Who is. I. No. Possible. But. Not. Proof. No 1. E d. Of. 😊
So another story of Bruce roughing up a Kung Fu Stuntman..showing off traditional Kung Fu...another non fighter. Seems par for the course. Does anyone ever wonder why Bruce was the only Martial Arts actor that is known to beat up random Stuntmen on sets? Never heard of Sammo or Jackie doing this.
because of his reputation for putting down traditional styles and for being known as a legitimate fighter who could thrown down. And instead of manifesting like a Leeophobe go watch the documentation and clips from the "real" fighters to see what they had to say about Lee's abilities.
Never Hear of Sammo & Jackie doing this... instead they went to bars controlled by Triads and picked fights when they hadn't quite made it. It's how Sammo got the scar on his face. Unfortunately, you seem to have completely missed the part where this guy approached Bruce and challenged him. Pay attention to detail 👍
@@shamounian I have seen pretty much all the documentaries where Bruces friends and students say good thing about him. Just because people say good things doesnt make him a fighter. When some fighters stated Bruce wasnt a fighter, Bruce fans attacked them.
@@GoldenbellTraining I didnt miss that, just another anecdote of a random non fighter who challenged Bruce and got roughed up for his trouble..doesnt make Bruce a fighter.

The tiger and crane set of hung far doesn't have any acrobatics though as Hung gar doesn't have any acrobatics in general.. Makes the story a bit dodgy
Never said the Tiger and Crane set has any acrobatics. The man is a stuntman, and he was giving a performance.
Radhe krishna ji
The fight at the ETD set is also real. The are eyewitnesses retelling the fight on RUclips.
I was told it was a kick not a slap?
In both interviews, he says slap.
lol seems like Bruce slap some sense back to him
He was technically proficient...but was the second slap really necessary?
yes, to send a message to the others to not cross the line.
That seems all real and all true…. After you still living in Thailand btw?
Shame on her. She knew he was married
He fought wong jack man and destroyed him in 12 seconds
That wasn't Wong Jack-Man
Anybody else perceive the slap in the face as a slap in the face by the way? The way I interpret it is like a spank. Kind of like "Get the f#($ out of here kid.":
He did it twice, mind you. Would be much more natural to come back with a backfist, no? I think Bruce liked the kid, does that make sense Prince?
I got a dog named Prince

Didn't Seagal beat up on stuntman
Too much talking! Stopped watching at 7:36.
That's nice 🙂
Yeah, but Brad Pitt beat Bruce Lee up. I saw it in a documentary. 🙄
stop padding yohr videos with faff and get to the point please. every youtube channel is 90% fluff
It's not fluff for the people just learning about Bruce Lee.
@@GoldenbellTraining it is when you avoid answering the title of your video to drag it out to 10min. you could have easily answered the question and then talked about the rest of the topic, but you deliberately waffled till the end. we aren't stupid. we see what you youtubers do to manipulate us. it's disrespectful to think we are stupid enough to not see through such tactics.
What do you mean, if you don't mind me asking
@@Guile1117 look at the title of the video and look at time stamp when he actually answers the question, nearly 8min into the 10min video. he spent 8min faffing before getting to the point. Could habe easily answered the question and then spent 8min talking about what he wants, but he did it in reverse to drag it out and make money. as if he answers it within 2min ppl probably would move to next video. loads of youtubers doing this and it's made RUclips unuseable. i just forward nowadays 75% of a video to get to the actual topic most days or just close the video when i notice faff.
@tab5e53 oh okay, sorry I'm just slow when it comes to stuff like this 😅
In that case I care no one of both of them cuz bruce was a narcissist & that guy also seems like a narcissist based on the explanation by this man.
