It will never not feel unfair and unjust to me that the "Marvel's Avengers" video game by Crystal Dynamics got a bunch of marketing from Square Enix, while the "Marvel's Guardians of the Galaxy" (2021) video game by Eidos-Montréal hardly got any marketing from Square Enix and released with little fanfare... I'm in totally agreement with you at 0:45 that the writing for The Guardians in this video game is even better than the MCU versions of The Guardians. The James Gunn's "Guardians of the Galaxy" movies made me aware of the GOTG, but this video game is what made me *love* these characters even more than the movies did. Star-Lord, Gamora, Drax, Mantis, and Adam Warlock are all so much better in this video game than the movie versions of the characters. I love the character interactions in this video game because they are very organic. I can't think of another video game that has so much entertaining dialogue and banter during gameplay, and not just cutscenes. It's genuinely amazing how much the characters banter and react to things in real time. Eidos-Montréal seriously deserve better.
Crazy how most depictions of Star Lord's Elemental Guns don't shoot multiple elements outside of the comics. It's a huge missed opportunity in Rivals specifically. They could've made Star Lord a unique character that can fire different kinds of elements depending on the situation, but instead they just made him a different flavor of Tracer. Oh well. Glad this game has that at least.
A part of me is sorta glad a sequel is off the tables at this point. It’s a smaller part of me, but I think this game works as a contained story and doesn’t need to be followed up imo. I think a sequel would be great, especially to see the improvements to gameplay, but I also think there’s something special about the game being this self contained experience that clearly had a lot of love put into it
See, you say the Huddle mechanic is too simple, but I’d argue otherwise. Nearly every person who I’ve watched play this game somehow struggles with picking the right response in the huddles. Granted that could just as easily mean that most people are just dumb, which I wouldn’t disagree with.
I loved this game, Im big into narrative based games and this one honestly nailed it for me. One of my favorite parts has to be Starlords Promise portion, and I wish you had talked about it in the video. The ability to end the game in the promise and give in, or to do the heartbreaking act to end the promise, just worked so well for me
The game is great, the story is amazing but why on earth is the Playlist only used in this game? The music is so good it should show in every guardians game/movie/show ever please
The game is actually so good. That there will never be a sequel is a tragedy. The dev was sold off to embracer by squeenix, even if they did another it would be a different dev. It may seem weird that the Deus Ex devs made a game like this but it works damn well, and not just because of the 0451 reference.
Not like it ruined the game for me. But I remember getting to the final boss with Raker & doing the huddle. Hoping for a banger motivational song to play during the last push. And I had to play the second to last boss with Wake Me Up playing in the background. It was both very funny, but kind of took my hype away a bit.
Forever heartbroken at Avengers completely fucking this game over

Yeah, even in Rivals, he yells "Eat elements, jerks!"... despite not even using a different element.
13:50 omg yes, when ever he screams "GUYS" it feels so goofy. I didn't mind it through out, but it could have been better, I 100% agree with you.
14:22 Gamera? The giant flying turtle?
Glad im not the only one who caught that
Hell yeah games like this and Midnight Suns deserve love its awesome seeing them get the fair chance that nobody gave them when they released
1:35 I thought my phone screen auto rotated, and I started wiggling it around so it would go back to normal. (I am much good smart)

I blame Square Enix’s Avengers game.
Same
I want a fantastic four game like this game man
11:38 Short end of the STICK. I’m sure it was unintentional but it was appreciated.

One thing I love to do is chain the teams abilities together
This game was so good, I loved all the little character interactions and decisions, and the (imo) best non comic version of Peter Quill.
Hell yeah. I love galaxy guardians of the

Platinum it twice on PS4 and PS5
Definitely in my Top 10

Our Lord has Dropped
I actually just played this game for the first time recently. Absolutely loved the game.
Star lords outfits in this game are lowk perfect imo
This game Not doing too good financially is 100% percent avengers fault. Sad
I love Eidos montreals Guardians of the Galaxy game
Long awaited, never thought this would drop😭😭

Heeeyyyy
Heeeyyyy
What’s the matter with the game?
Aaaaayyyyy
Quite an unpopular opinion, but I will die on the hill that this game is better than Spiderman PS4.
Next video, Marvel Rivals?
I thought this day would never come
HOW ARE YOU GONNA COMPLAIN ABOUT FINDING SKINS DAWG?, that's OG unlocking stuff
He's a zoomer
That's why I didn't buy it the gameplay. I'm still conflicted on whether I should buy it or not.
Dorito's Tri-annual video
