Wow, so heartwarming to read all the comments criticizing people acting to bring joy to others when the commenters probably haven't contributed anything meaningful to anyone's life this day.
I cry for you, Europa. Greetings from London, capital of chaos, we will be back, they lost 40 years ago, we will win 40 years from now. Please wait for us.
O friends, no more these sounds! Let us sing more cheerful songs, more full of joy! Joy, bright spark of divinity, Daughter of Elysium, Fire-inspired we tread Thy sanctuary. Thy magic power re-unites All that custom has divided, All men become brothers Under the sway of thy gentle wings. Whoever has created An abiding friendship, Or has won A true and loving wife, All who can call at least one soul theirs, Join in our song of praise; But any who cannot must creep tearfully Away from our circle. All creatures drink of joy At nature's breast. Just and unjust Alike taste of her gift; She gave us kisses and the fruit of the vine, A tried friend to the end. Even the worm can feel contentment, And the cherub stands before God! Gladly, like the heavenly bodies Which He set on their courses Through the splendor of the firmament; Thus, brothers, you should run your race, As a hero going to conquest. You millions, I embrace you. This kiss is for all the world! Brothers, above the starry canopy There must dwell a loving Father. Do you fall in worship, you millions? World, do you know your creator? Seek him in the heavens; Above the stars must He dwell.
For all the naysayers and rivet counters that will contribute to the comments, this is a fitting statement outside the place where democratic process is being thwarted by the suspension of parliament.
I could almost agree, if there was anything remotely democratic about the current parliament. MP's should vote in accordance with their constituents wishes. Anything other than that is NOT democracy. You reap what you sow. Go against your constituents on a directly democratic national vote and be removed as an MP. Thats how it should be. MP's are not nanny's, they don't always know best and the electorate are not children. I voted remain and I am disgusted with these MP's who are placing their own interests above that of the majority of the electorate, which is precisely what is happening. The result of the vote should be carried, whether individuals agree with it or not. To do otherwise, will have consequences.
Well this is fitting considering the MP's are both out of tune with the country and out of time. However, I'm sure if Beethoven had heard this, he'd be entirely content.
In Finland we have: kalsarikänni, drinking with underpants on and now point of going anywhere, well my boat is only 1,5 km. And I have my cycle. 90L onboard. I should be at Hanko or halfway to Tallinna!

@@SpitfireMLG In the UK it is the elected government, with the support of parliament, that makes decisions and ratifies treaties. Referenda are not part of the process. Sorry to be the party pooper but it sounds off, like too little violins, one of the soprano's were not only too loud but also sharp (I think). It was kinda chaos and I think it needed more rehearsals. Lol sorry hate to be that guy. :)

They used the actual audio. Excellent.
Not sure I understand your comment. What do you mean?
They used the audio from the event, not dubbing from a studio recording.

Its absoulutly cheerfull. In German or English
The clarinet I find didn't belong. It sounded as though that one was playing a different tune to the rest and it didn't sit right.
Please make sure you vote!
Took too many liberties with the original score.
What a frosty reception. Watch the German crowds instead.
That's because we hate it.

As would Ian Smith for playing Rise O Voices of Rhodesia.
