For me, sock feet are quietest because on tile and hardwood, the foot can stick unexpectedly. Also, tip toeing with your knees bending as you step, so you slowly add pressure, can prevent loud creaking. Hope this helped in some way…

I'm sorry but tip toeing will never work on wooden floors, they will still cause creaking no matter how much you shift the balance or the pressure, stepping with the hindfoot is the way to go in all types of urban terrain, tip toeing only works on natural terrain like forests where sounds like stepping on a leaf naturally gets overshadowed by ambient noise coming from mother nature.

You should do this or another option called a "Fox Walk"(it's used to walk in the woods quietly).

I use to steal food all the time at night when I was a kid. So I I got very good at this. I also got very good at climbing silently. I was short and we had some creaky ass counters. I feel the silent walking has something to do with my big ass feet. I’m 5,7 and wear size 13. (My family wasn’t abusive or anything, I just did it like every night so I mastered this)

Well I'm sorry about that. But abuse prevention is to help you. You or someone else might be getting abused right now. So walking as silent as possible is to never alert your abuser so you can just live life a little more normal. Going to the fridge or bathroom can be very scary experience if abuser catches you. I hope your safe.
