The stark contrast between Beau - a lifelong adventurer, and Hamish - a presumably lifelong urbanite (albeit one with very nice dry bags and duffels) - was so incredibly entertaining. I think in other Beau videos, you just get so engrossed that you forget the more common perspective that Hamish brings in this video.

If there's one takeaway from this video, it's that everyone is just winging it and praying it works out, that's the beauty of life! We don't always have to know exactly what we're doing or where we're going, as long as we remember to stop, smell the roses, sing with the animal bones, and enjoy the beauty of the journey! That's what matters, that to me is how you win at life - just enjoy it, mistakes and triumphs alike. All the best, I'm sure you're doing great 😄

Some places have buddy programs for kids who don't have dads, so they can have a good male role model in their life.

This is one of the best youtube vids I have seen. Being outdoors as much as possible is one of the best ways to raise kids. They may not remember the details when they are three, or five, or seven years old, but they will absorb the sense of belonging in the bush, the outback, on the water, or on a trail. As they grow up, I think it gives young people a sense of confidence that they can cope with all things and work out problems for themselves. Well done to both of the dads!

Man, I’ve seen all of your videos and this has to be one of the best! Your videos got me through some dark times during a hospital stay and you have inspired me to start a RUclips channel to tell stories like this. Hopefully we’ll get to work together one day!

Late to 'How Other Dad's Dad' podcast after being a H&A fan for over ten years, listening to every episode (UK listener). Started the podcast after becoming a dad for the second time this year. Found your episode incredibly inspiring Beau - and now i'm here watching this brilliant video. Thank you for inspiring so many.

What a great video. The production value of these just keeps going up too. Waiting for the Netflix special any day now. Oh, and Beau, my daughter is 29 (recently married), my son 22...we've been "adventuring" since each was 2 years old and we still try to do an adventure of some sort once a year despite my kids dispersing across the United States. Once a dad, always a dad. Looking forward to watching more.

I watched this last night and was left with a longing for an adventure with my boys. I was able to capture a small bit of it today when I went on a field trip with one of my boys and I stayed with him as he lagged behind as he tried to take in all of the exhibits while most of the rest just kept moving through, and then we spent some extra time to get some pictures he wanted and explored some of the surrounding area. It was great to capture that small moment of connection with my son so soon after. Thank you for putting stuff like this out.
