My dad, who is a retired carpenter, and is incredibly talented, does this a lot. We have an allotment and to date he's made 2 sheds, a greenhouse and 3 cold frames out of reclaimed timber. You're not kidding when you say the quality is better than what you get these days. I'm 22 and my future sometimes seems hopeless, but seeing your video made me feel that maybe things will be good and maybe I too will be able to create things for the people I love in a beautiful place. :) Thank you for your videos!!
Things will be good again❤️🙏
Totally with you there mate. Hope you are doing well.
I am in this same space
Your narration about enjoying the process while building and woodworking, really spoke to me. Your craftsmanship and obvious love for the process, mixed with your adorable conversing with your daughter has definitely made me a subscriber. Awesome work!
this man is comitted. you can just see the love and him just picturing his wife looking at it. amazing
the bit where she looked at it was nuts. she loved it. all of it
He should have put a GoPro on the babies head I’d loved to have seen it from the babies pov 😂
DO NOT USE 'BABIES POV TERMS FOR SEARCH
What?
@@g60force i should have listened
Would’ve snap the poor baby’s neck!
@@MegaCarah Oh no no no I would never be so inconsiderate get like a chest strap thing the video is no use if the babies is dead
Bloody brilliant mate. You're a great man, father, and husband. You're going to be a great role model for your kids and others kids.
Young people of Australia. Take notice of this man
This dude almost cut of his finger, and just said he needed a 20 min break. What a man
Tis but a flesh wound
just cut it
It's pointless not carrying on. It already hurts and stopping working isn't going to stop it from hurting. Might as well just beast it out and have something to show for your injury.
@@Crimsonedge1 yep that's the spirit
I don't mind a cut where it doesn't matter for example. On the finger. Easy to.bandage and put on a snug glove
Sprains are the worst
definition of a real man. he doesn't drink whiskey, whiskey drinks him you know what i mean....
Me doing a simple project: 5 trips to the hardware store
Beau: builds entire cabin without leaving his property
it does help having tons of timber under your house lol
SO many times!
I can’t even fart without my wife knowing how the hell could you built an entire office
she was probably pretending not to know ;-)
It's called trust buddy
lol its obvious staged bro. 😂 i like build videos tho. he really didn't have to fake surprise his wife to get extra views
I like how he brings his daughter to work. Nice bonding.
I'm... deeply moved..
How many people are able to say "I built my wife an office / My husband built an office for me"??
Now that I have become a father, there's an inexplicable feeling deep within me that yearns for such thing that resonates infinitely with me. Also, the thought of the possibility for your daughter to one day claim that place, that her dad built, ultimately, hers.
Thank you for this film.
@Arcadium lmaooooo 🤣
“May will no doubt do some dodgy stuff here with her friends over the years, I think it’s a win win” 😂
lmao that was good, that'll be the joint room for sure
Helen “Yeah, I’d love to see the tree through the roof.....”
Beau.......pretends to totally ignore what Helen said 😂😆
As an architect I must admit this is absolutely stunning satisfactory
“I’m bleeding out nicely” 😂

I've got a great scar on my left index finger from doing that exact same thing a few years back. I think that I took more than a 20 minute break, though.
@@mwalker4 I feel you pain bro, been there done that. It's somehow satisfying. Us men are weird.
“May will no doubt do some dodgy stuff here with her friends over the years.” Your a good parent lol, I hope she grows up to appreciate your humor
"I fee like I'm having an affair," he says as he is building a gift for his wife.
I can only imagine the 'gifts' he received from his wife after completing this project... it's like a lifetime IOU card, for I will do anything whenever you ask me to... I could and would totally build this for a woman, sadly I lack the space :(
g60force she gave him a baby though... i think thats the ultimate IOU card tbh
@@g60force I think you misunderstand the meaning of a gift. he made this for her as a beautiful gift for her birthday to support her and her business. gifts are given with no need for compensation otherwise it isn't a gift, it's a loan.
@@483Emma fr im sure this build took just as long as the pregnancy was xD
@@cyanidesparkles Try being in a relationship where you don’t give as much as your partner does and see how that works. You don’t have to be conscious of the fact, but essentially he’s building up relationship karma. That’s undeniable.
she is the most calm and chill baby I have ever seen in my life, even with construction noises going around, barely made a peep.
Mate...being a photographer and film maker I really appreciate how much time you must have used moving your tripod as you cut, hammer and screw. Such a great job Beau. Very inspiring mate.
Everything old is new again. Your project helped me at a time when the future seems so uncertain. A building has been born with untapped potential. We should hope the same for the world.
Builds a tiny office while babysitting and filming. Multitasking like a legend.
I built my wife a beauty salon in lock down, after her business was destroyed by Covid…. She still works from our old garage now! It’s 2024!!… She loves it! And it’s so economical… no rent!
Beau makes the most boring sounding concepts into the most beautiful films, cheers to another great one
What a beauty! A ton of people praising him for the construction while taking care of his child, which you know, fair enough, BUT he also filmed the project which is another element. Excellent work!!
In the Philippines there's a word for this. It's "Sanaol". It means "I wish everyone has the same". The beauty of simplicity.
ohhhh I have to use this word for my GF somehow... she is from PH and it's our 8th year!
I used it yesterday when we met with her PH friends, they were surprised... today as I thought 2021 is gonna start good she wants to end it! FFS
Your experience made me happy and sad at the same time. All the best, man!
Came across my feed today, liked subscribed, and nearly cried. My Dad was a carpenter. I still love the smell of sawdust! Makes me miss him so. Thank you Beau!
This reflects everything i feel about my collecting and reusing all sorts of materials. I collected for 5 years and built an art studio for the cost of the screws. So satisfying!
you should make a little video showing it off! I'd like to see it, and I'm sure others would as well.
How does it look like?
This was amazing.
A-Mae-zing 😂

Thank you! This made my day!
I’ve been single for a couple years waiting to meet a man like you (no disrespect Helen!). But now I know such character actually exists it gives me hope.
I love the whole process of scavenge....store...save for a rainy day then create a wonderfully crafted space. Your a bloody legend
I watched my dad do projects like this, and work outdoors most of his life, and the body strength and resiliance is remarkable. People in cities, working in offices, etc, just don't have the spinal strength and stamina like Mr. Miles has.
"Whatever she wants, she can have". This is the kind of husband I want to be.
This is so beautiful! I love that this video demonstrates a father’s and husbands love. Super sweet! 😊🥹🥰
You forgot to add "1 finger" to the costs list
Or a decent pair of gloves...
Good call. A scar that will last until I do.
I greatly appreciate you making this something you can do while your daughter is around instead of just having her sit on her own in a corner, proper Dad right there.
"I gotta remind myself that I like the process, it's not just a Sprint to the finish. "
YES! That's how I feel about my art. Such a cool thing you've done for her.
That list of Cabin ingredients was a glorious inclusion! Really demonstrates your thoroughness, consideration, and memory. Always quality, Beau!
This man reminds me of my grandfather's stories of when he was young and building a cottage.
My grandfather was a great man by the way.
This deserves more attention, this is in so many ways wholesome
Most blokes don’t get chance to have a shave whilst looking after baby, this fella takes it to the next level!
and he still didn't have time to shave
It is what you make it, both me and now my son has built racecars while looking after a baby, sure they might eat some nuts, but I always have spares, a bonus is they can sleep even if it's not totally quiet.
Both my kids grew up to be mechanics, my son as a hobby, my daughter as both a hobby and a profession
Now this is what life's about, family, fields, building, relationships, life stock, this is truly what I think life's about
