Alan, great message on conviction! This is a wonderful reminder on how serious do we take our decision to follow Jesus. How convicted am I? How serious do I take this decision and way of life? Samuel Lamb, whew...what a man of conviction! The prayer at the end is very touching! ‘I could not choose any other road...’ Thank you!
There is a book called Not A Fan by Kyle Idleman. He’s a Baptist pastor who seeks to fire up his congregation to follow Jesus, but it only seems to bring a few people.
I don’t know if he’s referring to a Pastor Lamb like the televangelist pastor who died last year or not. They seem to have smeared him as anti-vax based on his belief if true.
It is like the cafeteria catholics ... you are in or you are NOT IN. like the cafeteria catholic, you cannot pick and choose. the only way is Jesus, he is the truth and the light. everything else is fluff.
Let your Yes mean yes and your No mean no! Amen.
Amen!
Walk the walk, not just talk the talk!!
Thank you Allen. The challenge is set forth and it is my task to follow the Lord.
Amen, Jim
Great reflection
Thank you, Bill

Very interesting. Thanks for sharing this with me.
Can you give us a link to The NY Times column?
