I like clouds characterization in the remakes. Since the OG, most media focused on his angst and brooding. This brings back that he was a softie at heart and a huge dork.

Yeah. Cloud was always a weird guy, Advent Children and beyond just had him constantly brooding over Aerith, which I get to a degree but he was basically acting like that.
Tbf, he was dying of an incurable disease in Advent Children. He gets a pass for that.
Look, Advent Children is the character in the much later stages of trauma. When ff7 starts Cloud has literally just watched Zack die and is staggering around Midgar about to become a hooded guy until Tifa finds him. He's just spent 5 years being experimented on, after experiencing what happened in his howtown, the death of his Mom, finding Tifa almost dead and killing Sepiroth. He goes from that full thrust into the events of ff7, to Aeriths death and everything else. The first time he gets a second to chill is literally after the end of ff7 and then turns out he's slowly dying. No wonder the dude is damaged in Advent Children. Christ....

I consider Advent Children is a bad adaptation, it literally kills everything that good from original FFVII for the sake of fan service

@@Shanks0007dude your media illiteracy is truly stupendous. That's exactly why she felt so conflicted. Soldier and Shinra were her peoples sworn enemies and here she was infatuated with a Soldier. Even going as far as to constantly pester and stalk him (if u played the yuffie cc side missions) she couldn't accept that within the enemies there would actually be a really nice and sweet guy like Zack. It frustrated her. It's also probably the reason she was so quick to accepting cloud as an ex soldier knowing that something about Cloud is cut from the same cloth as Zack. That's why in this date she explicitly says she wants to get back at Zack with some of her best moves to confront those complex feelings.
Okay, that ending with Cloud faking being hit was adorable

I took Yuffie first and went to each area of the gold saucer and did a bunch of duos fights in battle arena it lasted nearly an hour. I thought this was handled so well it had Yuffie's typical silliness but with some cool lore and a cute moment at the end where Cloud let his guard down and played along with her.

The second act is about Aerith and the third about Tifa and still the final scene with Tifa was dependent on how you played between the two (or 3 if you count Yuffie) in the first and second acr. The fact is that the remake and rebirth are playing the same story beats in the questions are relashionships, so it would be cool if how you resolve your relashionship with Tifa has connection with previous choices.

Same here. Definitely wasn’t expecting it.
From what I've read, you get the Cait/Vincent/Cid scene if either the affection of the others are too low to trigger, OR if there's a tie between them. So it's possible that your affection scores weren't low, but they were all tied, so the game picked the bro hangout as a tie breaker.
This happens if you have too many that are a tie for the same relationship level, if you focus on one specifically then you should be able to get who you want. For my playthrough I had yuffie maxed and the rest on 4/6. I did most yuffie side quests and dialogues, as well as all cloud/yuffie synergy abilities and was able to get her maxed out
I can confirm it. You need to focus on 1 character only to trigger the date for each playthrough. If you happen to get Tifa then it means you focused on answering correct answers on her as well as using most of her synergy skills/abilities.
But if your affection levels are same with all characters then the game will decide which will you date.
I tried balancing all the characters affection level and in the end I got Cid and Cait Sith too 😂
But that's fine because I want to get all date for every playthrough I have.
I love how no matter how grown yuffie tries to act....that kid side always manages to come out

To be honest Zack can just leave Cloud but as a true Hero he still saves him and gave everything he got for Cloud to survive.

Meanwhile Zack lost everything but died as the true hero everyone deserves. Too bad only few people know his heroic deeds.

Aerith date was canon in the og - only players who played the og in 97 know. It was for story purposes. So weird to hear people thinking otherwise. I love all the characters so much and all those dates in Rebirth were fan service - loved all of them.

@@Sur_GalaChad2189 Wrong. In the og it was all Aerith up until her death. Cloud goes for Tifa after her death and being re connected in the Lifestream and I loved it. So for me playing the game in 97’ - without AC/CC - Aerith was the main girl. For me it will always be like this: I was not influenced by AC, CC and Internet forums.

Zack was dead in the og so this doesn’t matter. He was her first love. I’m not together with my first love too and she is not dead ;)

How does the relationship system work in the game? I havent started my playthrough yet since ive been working. Does increasing the relationship with one character affect your relationship with the others? Are you able to go on a "date" with all of them to get the most out of a single playthrough? Just dont have alot of time and am hoping to get as many in one go as i can to get the full experience
If it’s the same as the original. One date per playthrough.
From the trailers. You can have optional conversations with characters as you travel to different locations. And your responses determines the points. I’m guessing it’s only for the highest points.
The big gains for intimacy points come from doing sidequests with that character. In the quest menu, there's a characters face next to the quest so you can see who it gives points for.
After you complete it, you can go choose which character and replay chapter 12, as long as you have high enough reputation. You then need over 75% to see the better ending to the date.
I hope she gets to meet Zack again.
Everyone keeps saying shes talking about Zack but I thought it was pretty clear she was indirectly trying to tell cloud how she feels about him. And I've Played Crisis Core
