I wouldn't recommend the 15 inch this time around. The 17 inch Razer Blade gets 8 speakers and 165 watt 3080 TI. The 15 inch version won't be able to let the 3080 TI stretch it's legs.
Honestly love my blade. Biggest issue is a battery bulging issue I’ve seen hardly any RUclipsr talk about. I travel maybe 6-7 time a year, game hard and work hard on my blade and after 3 years of use I’ve had to replace my battery twice now. And now my 2nd battery has started to blur. Is this a me only issue or anyone else having this?
Oh yea same, had to replace my battery twice now, it's because of too much sustained heat being exposed to the battery, mine bulged so bad I couldn't even click my trackpad at one point, really wish razer figured this out
One solution would be to place a book or something under the laptop just where the display is (and avoid blocking the air intake at the bottom). The battery swells up because of excess heat so raising the laptop up a bit should help the fans draw in more air and cool the insides, and of course including the battery. If the battery doesn't overheat, it won't swell up and die on you. Razer needs to do some design changes and move the air intakes from the bottom of the device to the sides where it can draw in more air and cool down the laptop properly. This way, their laptops won't be having constant battery issues.
Long term user here, Don’t let the cool aluminum exterior fool you. The speakers are mediocre, long term batteries issues plague the entire laptop lineup (to the point Razer FINALLY added a default battery warranty on 2021+ models), you could get a better screen on many other laptops at a lower price with similar specs, customer support is a joke, performance is good and the best in it’s size/volume, these laptops get too hot to the touch at the palm rest which will make your hands sweat which will eat at the anodizing finish on your razerblade leaving a uneven finish on the palm rest, driver bugs (especially audio ones) are a joke, and the sheer performance drop when unplugged makes you feel like you’re using a 2012 chromebook. It’s a great laptop, plugged in, on a desk
@@MrSaljstn I’m going through my second replacement battery right now. I can’t click the touchpad anymore because the battery is bloated. Certain titles make the palmrest almost untouchable with how hot these laptops get and I can’t imagine that’s helping the battery out at all.

@@DylanF I'm saying.... I don't have any of that in mine!! Do you just leave it open all the time?? How are you gettin "Skin Cells" in your speakers yo🤔🤔??
I dont know why people keep on calling this understated. That hideous green snake logo is loud and brash in any environment. The design is as utilitarian and dull as it gets. If you told me it was an old dell business laptop from ten years ago, I would believe you. It's loud in the fact that it's so boxy and crude looking it stands out. The most basic shape from a CAD template. The single color really emphasizes the huge bezels and the keys look like some decals bought from the dollar store. They've had this dated design for years. This is basically the MS Paint of laptops.
I really want to pick one of these up but the battery life seems to be abhorrent. I'd be using it for uni lectures as well as relaxation gaming - is the battery life as bad as this review, and other sites, make out?
All gaming laptops will see temps up to 100c during heavy gaming, I'm a stickler on thermals as well, but unfortunately with gaming laptops they're pretty much all the same. Although if you have the money they do make liquid cooling for certain brands that accept it. Getting a good cooling pad, applying liquid metal thermal paste and getting vent fan attachments can really help. I plan on getting this laptop along with cooling pad and vent fans... I'm also going to open up the back and see what I can do as a DIY hack with copper shims and thermal paste.
I placed a pre-order for the Razer Blade 15 2022 and had to wait for three months after its release. However, upon receiving the laptop, I found its behavior to be abnormal and requested a return and refund multiple times. Despite my requests, I had to go through two replacements. Unfortunately, even after the third replacement, the laptop malfunctioned again after only four months, with a line appearing on the screen and multiple black strips. I want to emphasize that the damage was not caused by any misuse or negligence on my part. However, when I contacted the technicians, they deemed the issue to be outside the scope of the warranty and demanded an excessive repair fee of €900, in addition to a €200 shipping cost from Germany to Ireland. Avoid Razer, Don't waste money and get a better quality laptop or pc.
Well, I have a original Razer mouse. I got it, back in the 1990’s, when I figured a gaming mouse was a great idea. Now, I have a new 15 inch laptop. Lets see if the cost is justified.
I've had an experience of owning Razer blade 15 laptop for last 2 years and 4 months. Here's how it went 1. Within 7-8 months of purchase the L key stopped working 2. Within 1year and 5-8 months, I gradually started realizing that for some reason, my laptop is deforming! I was wondering why!! 3. Just last week, I saw that a part of the back-pane of my laptop is wide open and battery is swollen, pressurizing the back-pane. I bought the laptop listening to these "RUclips influencers". Learning: You decide, make mistake blame yourself. DO NOT waste time here!
Laptops at this price segment should have an HDMI-IN port and you should be able to just use it as a screen. That's all i'm asking for but it seems nobody will ever do it. Alienware had an HDMI-IN back in the day but that's over now for quite some time, too.
Somethings on this don't make any sense, 300 nits for this price is just stupid, also they need to have a glossy screen option cause that matte screen kills all the colors.

@@Leada1ne Yeah...Funny enough, I did understand what you said. 🤦♂I think you've misunderstood my message.
I don't see how milling the holes would get rid of the issue.
Fun fact; this and the MacBook are the only TWO laptops to have full-sized function keys
u alive? ^^
You want the best, you have to pay for the best. Mentioning price is so pointless - “This Rolex is nice… but it’s expensive “ DUH!
🤣🤣🤣
Lower power and gets out-performed by GPUs 2 tiers below that cost 1/3 of the price
@@motherflerkentannhauser8152 Guess it's not for you🤷🏾♂️🤷🏾♂️
If you want the best, don't buy this laptop.
I’m buying a used one from eBay and can’t wait I heard great things just need to see it for myself
Just say you can't afford it, no really it's fine.
Outstanding video! Just ordered mine today.
How well built is it? and lifespan?
Why would you plug the adapter in the wrong way?
The real question is: does it run freakin hot? Cause my slightly oder Blade 15 certainly does
Mine broke a month after the warranty ended. Felt like a huge scam.
This video was one the best videos I've watched on the Razer Blade 15
Question for owners, how's the battery life?
Had you notice yellowish in both sides of the screen in white bright color? Tnx
Stupid question here but why are there no other color options ?
I was told by Razer Tech support when using a second monitor on the Razer laptop it becomes 60hz no matter if the monitor can do 120hz or 240hz plus
I want to use this for my school, and one thing i know for sure is that i forget my charger, i'm dead.
I would love a new Razer 15, but the design is not palatable for business work.
So basically you can't afford it and want to save face. Mmkay got it 👍
Does Razer 15 2022 have a touch screen option (higher that FHD res)? This isn't shown in any tech specs that I've found of the laptop.
You can get a MSI laptop for a lot less with the same specs.
How hot does it get? My Asus rog gets pretty heated
Is it worth buying
I really want to pick one of these up but the battery life seems to be abhorrent. I'd be using it for uni lectures as well as relaxation gaming - is the battery life as bad as this review, and other sites, make out?
I don't get why they removed one TB 4 port.. Im sticking to my 2021
How do we connect it to the modem? No Ethernet port
I looked into this but hearing the frame rate drops dramatically this product from razer is really pathetic
Stick to making audio & accessories
Does it over heat? That’s my main concern with laptops

What game are you playing in video?
how do u play games with those keypads?
Well, I have a original Razer mouse. I got it, back in the 1990’s, when I figured a gaming mouse was a great idea. Now, I have a new 15 inch laptop. Lets see if the cost is justified.
I went with the Asus Scar Strix 2022 with I9 12900h, 3070ti, 1tb, 16gb 4800 ddr5 ram and 300hz FHD ips panel for $2,100.
I've had an experience of owning Razer blade 15 laptop for last 2 years and 4 months. Here's how it went
1. Within 7-8 months of purchase the L key stopped working
My trackpad didn't work right out of the box? Did anyone else experience this?
damn 40fps for almost 3k laptop? not in the laptop scene but damn was hoping for more :/
Laptops at this price segment should have an HDMI-IN port and you should be able to just use it as a screen. That's all i'm asking for but it seems nobody will ever do it. Alienware had an HDMI-IN back in the day but that's over now for quite some time, too.
Display port amigo
Only complaint I have is it’s battery life when doing normal work stuff.
That's the only thing I don't like about mine is I can't change the RGB on the logo but other than that it really good 👍
Do both typec ports support 100w pd charging?
Do they have at least mux switches in their laptops in 2022?
Blade 15 has had them since at least 2020
@@alexandermaloney4016 Great love it!
this laptop here in Brazil cost like 10k USD ( yes, for real)
Here's hoping that the 15 gets an AMD variant!
What about the thermals? Does that chasy heat up hot? And does it chip easily?
Is it windows 11?
4:40 then plug it in right, ffs.. 🤦♂️
What's the polling rate of the keyboard? I am assuming you have to literally buy a razer mouse AND keyboard. lol. For it.
2022 3080ti 144hz 4k
Vs
2023 4060 240hz for 400 bucks less..
Ehat should i do bro!?
Vram or framegen
Mines was $3489. First Gaming laptop. You have to use it while it's plugged up. I don't do major gaming but when I do I drin 'Dos Equis.
Legendary
I have the money, but struggling in whether buy it now or wait for next model?
i say wait for nvidia 40xx mobile and amd 7xxx series. they should be out either late this year or next year.
@@LCJammer thanks; will take good use of my 2019 Razer Blade 15
Do they call MacBook Pro expensive when they are reviewing it?
Gaming on a Macbook pro is still not good.
Hi sir
do you know how can i replace my cmos battery on my razer 15 advance 2020
4:44 I too thought USB-C power is cool, until I bought a ThinkPad X13 with USB-C power, it wobbles all over the place. Horrible "update".
Somethings on this don't make any sense, 300 nits for this price is just stupid, also they need to have a glossy screen option cause that matte screen kills all the colors.
How many frames on overwatch
Thanks for sharing such a great ...';
Everything eas good until you mentioned the charger cable blocking the usb ports
Just get the 2022 zephyrus M16
Would love to see chroma razer logo one day
The charging adaptor design and battery does not justify the price period.
ive ordered the rtx 3080ti with 144hertz display and 4k. Im really curious on its performance. Thanks for the video
It basically looks like a 2015 MacBook Pro. This was the MacBook with all the ports and speakers on top.
I should have brought this instead of the MBP.
They need a 16:10 screen.
They do overheat and thus throttle
this laptop is very good at built quality
What's the name of the end song
So one pays so much money for a performance throttling non-plugged-in laptop which comes with a brick. How convinient.
for $3700 i could build a decent desktop and buy a nice mid-range gaming laptop. the razer isn't worth its price tag.
All this time I thought razer blade used usb c for charging... what a shame it's some random connector
