Have this car but black with black interior instead of the red. Absolutely love it. Luxurious. The driving experience is butter. And plenty fast for my daily needs.
11:44 , Mate, I have a BN Mazda 3 with HUD - Your HUD (heads up display) reads the settings from the key fob when opening the Mazda … your tester M3 has memory seat/settings buttons and another seat/memory in each key fob. Ie me and my partner have different HUD and seated positions, these are saved to each individuals key fob. Try turning off the HUD (not that I would), saving your setting to your fob. Then shut down, lock up and then open and start up again. Did the HUD stay off? I think it would.
Mazda 3 power turbo 2024. I'm 6'5. 220 lb. I fit in this car wonderfully. It may be slight tad bit low. But once in very comfortable more than adequate legroom
I’ve had my 23’ Mazda 3 Carbon Edition, coming up to 6.3k miles and I’ve had no complaints! Compared to my 23’ Nissan Altima which WAS A LEMON due to dumb issues, yeah I definitely say Mazda has been better all the way 🎉🎉
I always understood Mazda to being the if it ain't broke don't fix it or leave well enough alone. It's a timeless design, the interior is a perfect design fq what they want it to be and the performance to price is fine, some people say it's sluggish but a 2.5L with 191 hp and 191 torque ain't bad...plus best of all, it's not a cvt and it doesn't fully turn off, only 2 cylinders do so that's not awful
Is the engine auto start stop only on the turbo premium plus? I have the premium and it doesn't do that. It has cylinder deactivation on the interstate but no auto start stop.
No engine stop-start feature is only a negative if you really want it. Mazda decided against it in favor of their cylinder deactivation technology. They have tweaked the bugs and it appears overall to be probably no better or worse than the other system.
Thank you for pointing out that this car has cylinder deactivation and not stop start. I recently put one on order, and I wound not want to have stop start technology.
Very good review. 👍 I am on my second Mazda, I owned a CX-5 and now I have a Mazda 3 sedan, just bought it. I think you are mistaken about cargo area, the sedan has more space, even with the back seats down. Hatch 334 L / 1026 L. Sedan 450L / 1138L
How is the hutch has less cargo than sedan? I am tryin to choose between CX 5 vs Mazda 3 don't know what to choose but don't want all wheel drive, which one do you like now better? CX-5 our Mazda 3 SEDAN?!
Great review George! Please review a 2023 Corolla! 2023 Corolla has some impressive updates like standard 2 liter engine, over the air updates, wireless apple carplay/android auto, standard 2 rear usb-c ports, improved toyota touchscreen interface, more powerful hybrid system with optional AWD etc.
@@DriversOnly Civic sport touring. I saw your review on that last year. You had nice things to say about it. You were correct in your assessment of that car as well. I ended up with the exact one in the review. Thanks!!
They didn't drop the ball. Its a sacrifice for the design. The styling is unmatched with the hatchback. I have no qualms. Ive driven it for 2 years. But you may be one of the many that aren't as blown away as we are. most of the negatives he mentioned were sacrifices for the design. If I was bothered by how hard it is to get in or having to move a front seat when putting down the rear seats cos its short....I would have bought a Honda Civic hatch. But you know what you dop not get with that Honda....this.. 12:48
With the rear blind spots these journalists complain about you would think car manufacturers would come up with a solution. I don't know let's say mirrors mounted on each door so you could see beside and behind you. How about real blind spots that exist like the A pillars. You know, the ones that can literally block a semi coming when you are sitting at a stop sign.
I got the 2023 mazda3 fwd ce sedan. I don’t have the heads up display and really just use CarPlay so the infotainment isn’t really difficult. It’s easier to get inside and the visibility is a lot better than the hatchback. But yea everything is a lil crampt especially in the back. You get just enough space in the front. But the car is small so that the whole cabin space cools and warms up pretty well despite no rear vents and cables are long enough to reach the back for passengers to charge or connect their phones. I’m 5’9” and everyone I’ve ever driven so far has been shorter than me and said they were fine in the back. And we often get compliments on having such a nice car. Me and my gf have also been able to fit a queen sized air mattress, bedding, 2 mid/large suitcases and some carryons in the back with the seats down along with all the random shit I keep on the trunk in case of “emergencies” and still had a decent amount of space. It drives nice but also really comfortable despite the suspension. It’s a great highway cruiser and can get somewhere around 460 miles on a full tank but really comes alive on the back roads. My avg fuel efficiency is 32.5 mpg with over 12k miles on it.
Space issue is understandable but everything else is nitpicking. Its like reviewing computers where the latest n greatest is always changing. U buy one model n the next one will have better features. U end up just waiting n waiting. Just get the damn car n be happy with it 😅
No car is perfect but this car comes down close. My 2020 mazda3 model has a stop-start technology button, you can turn the stop-start function with a button so it doesn't really matter
No touchscreen infotainment is a joke by Mazda in 2023 and the torsion beam rear suspension is lame, Civic, Corolla even the Sentra are better options.......
The torsion was done not for cost but tuning. They had to make a new torsion design with the awd. The touchscreen is a good thing. Touchscreens are the most unsafe part of most cars. The dial is far safer and better for adjusting while driving.
@@kylenewberry2598 So Honda, Toyota and NISSAN are leaving their drivers unsafe with touchscreen infotainment? Whatever. Mazda has the rotary knob infotainment in almost all their vehicle models and it's so outdated. Does Mazda even sell hybrids or pickup trucks in North America? Boring brand.......
My wife has the 2016 cx-9 with no touchscreen and never complained at all. Says when it’s time she wants another one for sure and this is the best car she has ever had. First of many Mazdas for her.
If you put an audi badge on this car everyone will be saying it's the best hatchback they have ever seen. Lol

You should include more comments over how it compares with the sedan

Start/Stop is not on the Premium Manual is it??

@JamieStLouis-tu9ml the new ones do have start stop.. it can even turn it off in settings... it says start stop lol
Wait did I miss it, what trim level was reviewed?
Yes, it does. But you did not mention it when you talked about the pro's and con's of this vehicle. Just saying. Love your videos, though.

It's cubic space, meaning vertical height included.
🤔Take the headrests off the seats before folding them down & you don't lose as much leg room up front.
would it be good as a first car??

Regarding the heads-up display off situation, just put a piece of tape over the projection lens. Problem solved. I would never use/need it anyway.
