This has got to be the VERY BEST informative video on RUclips. You explained every step so well . It was so easy to understand and follow these steps . I have the exact type eyes as you . This is just so helpful . Thank you
i love how you say " a clean one" when referring to a brush because I used to use the same brush for a whole eye look, messy! thank you for this video, so well explained
That was me yesterday lol, lucky thing I was just sitting @ my sisters house. I practice on the weekdays, my eyeshadow looked good but I lost on transition color and the bronze color on my eyelid took over the whole eye look 😆 I'll keep practicing, anything with beginner I click on 🤣🤣.
Noooo! It was NOT too long! I couldn't switch this video if I tried. Thank you for your gift to thoroughly explain. Glad I found you. And yes it was extremely helpful!
I’m 8 months late to the party but this mini series is so helpful! You’re dropping so many gems on us. Most MUA’s wouldn’t dare give up these tips and tricks without charging you. Thank you so much!!
I came across this video today and it was so helpful! I have mature skin and hooded eyes. I followed your tutorial and I love the way my eyeshadow turned out!!!
OMG....GIRL.... You finally made it make sense. Thank you so much. I have been using the wrong brushes. When you said "it will all disappear" I realized I was using the wrong size brush. MIND BLOWN!!!!!!!
I literally JUST realized I have hooded eyes and I've been using the techniques and brushes of RUclipsrs who don't have hooded eyes. The frustration of, "Why my eyeshadow don't look like theirs!?" is now a thing of the past. Girlllllll THANK YOU! Cause I'm bout to go from fine, to fine fine 🥰
THANK YOU!! I'm doing my own makeup for my wedding in a couple months and this is sooooo helpful for refining the look so it's more flattering to my eye shape 🥰
The way I envy people with lots of lid space or at least a lot of space between the brow and crease to work with? It burns my soul but I guess we have to work with what the Lord has given us lol. Loved your emphasis on using smaller brushes and being deliberate and precise when applying eyeshadow. One thing I have learned watching you is that it is better to build up slowly than slather on and then try fix it. Here is to more practice!
Seriously, I was an EXpert at the don't !!! until this video😲😲😲 thank you so much ! 💯✔️👌My little eyes will breath now😍😍😍... Oh wow !!! It's all about the brushes ! Beautiful finish...🌹🌹🌹 Uhmmmm cutting the Crease 😨😨😨 guuurl, what are you trying to make me do ? Mess up all my good work ? 🤣🤣🤣🤣 Once again thank you this one is one to watch over and over while practicing ✔️💯
I'm Nordic and have small beady hooded eyes. I still struggle with eye shadow and I'm 46 to the point where I only apply just a light neutral color. And that's it. I just ordered my first pay Magrath pallet and I hope I can make some nice looks. You e helped A lot! 😊 Thanks
Thank you for taking the time to explain every step in detail. I have hooded eyes that are also somewhat uneven. And a CUT CREASE?! Never. 😢 With your explanation of every step, I feel like now I have the knowledge of every step I should take to make my eye looks really pop! I have so many palettes and was a bit intimidated but I loved the colors. I’m really looking forward to practicing and creating new looks with the canvas I have.
I watched this when you first posted it and I'm watching it again because I'm not satisfied with my eyeshadow looks for my hooded and mature eyes. So thank you again 💜
This tutorial is so helpful for beginners like me. I just recently purchased different kinds & sizes of eyeshadow brushes. I’ve learned to use a different brush to pick up light shades then one for darker shades then use another blender brush.
You give good instructions. As I've gotten older my movable lid is now covered by the hood. And the hood is rounder than yours. All I can do is use a medium brown on the hood to give the illusion that the hood is more recessed. I'm over 60 and my eyelid has crepe skin. Trying to make a cut crease is horrible since the skin moves around. I find that less makeup is the best for me. It would take me hours to use more makeup and I'd look like an old clown lol.
Yes!!!! Same, I’ve had the hardest time with the eye makeup but with practice and watching awesome videos like yours lol, has really helped. Thanks so much AleJay
Hi Ale, i have been checking out some of your videos. The first one really caught my attention because you explain everything with such patience and detail that one just wanna sit here and pay close attention to you lol. It doesn’t matter that the video is long, as long as it is an interesting one where u really are learning. Time goes by so fast u don’t even realize the video was over 20 mins haha. You have a new subscriber!! I want more and more of these super easy to understand videos. Thank you so much for sharing ur knowledge... it is much appreciated. 😘
Thank you for explaining how the cut crease should diffuse. I have such tiny eyes it’s ridiculous- at least it matches my tiny lips haha attitude of gratitude
SO GREAT ALE JAY. IM REALLY Learning so Much about makeup ☺️💄 application from your expertise & experience in your videos!!! Thanks so much sis 👑😅 👍 🌹🌹🌹. You are fabulous & GOREGEOUS also!!!!!
L thank you so much for the video I to have eyes but my eyes are larger than yours I am older woman however your tips are perfect I really appreciated it! In fact at times I play your RUclips videos in the store while I'm shopping because sometimes I forget products you've suggested. The suggestions you have made have been awesome, thanks again!:-) Roz
I’m watching this with the volume down and pillow over my arm to hide my phone. I’m supposed to be “present” while watching our Family movie. . Since I’m not the best at eye shadow, my natural guess is that the right one is the one “TO” do but my natural guess is probably wrong. lol! The Left one is probably the one “TO” do? They both look great to me. One more dramatic and I love both. Will listen later tonight to the actual words. Hope i’m right. Love your videos!
This video explains everything absolutely perfectly with every important detail, especially since I have the exact same type eyes. I had so much trouble with the cut crease but this definitely helped so dang much. THANK YOU!
Truly love all of your videos. You explain everything so well, my makeup game has gotten so much better in a short space of time. I have small hooded eyes too and I always wonder how i can get it to look just as good as girls with more space. love these tips!

Hi, you have started me on my journey of wearing eyeshadow now, I've been searching for a long time on how to apply it on my hooded eyes. You have given me life frfr. Take care, I know you're going far in this business.
Thank you so much for this video! I am trying to learn how to do cut crease and I have hooded eyes. I hate that I don’t have enough space lol. I have definitely been using the wrong brushes.

These are the exact same mistakes I make and feel disappointed every time…. as I am investing all that time and money only to end up with a muddy mess. Thank you Ale. Thank you so much ❤️. I am heading straight to morphe and getting me those M506s.
You are so gorgeous and this was really helpful. I can tell this is all your own hard-earned wisdom because I haven't encountered these tips elsewhere. Thank you!!
You described me exactly in this video ! You did great & you look beautiful! Really gorgeous!!!❤️❤️❤️ Thank you for everything!! My eyes are like yours, very little eyelid space! I have always thought that ppl with our eyelid space could never be able to do a cut crease & you just proved me wrong as this is a beautiful cut crease eyeshadow look!! You are so talented & one of the best makeup instructors I’ve ever seen!! I can’t believe what I just watched you do! Amazing.......❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
