    Mission accomplished Cory. Can't speak for the team (but I'm sure they'd say the same) but I don't think a single Canuck fan worried when you got your games as Lu's backup. What a luxury we had back then. Really was 2 number 1's.

    Like anyone who’s played even one game in the NHL, Cory Scheinder was a fantastic player.
    Pro hockey is a business and when running a business, business people tend to play the odds. Once you hit your mid-thirties, there’s few who’ll want to take that risk. No shame.

    Schneider was so dominant as a Canuck that he put serious pressure on Luongo. The Canucks had to move one of them.

      He had 2 shutouts against Boston wtf you talking about. Sedins didn't record a single point in the final series. Luongo wasn't the reason why the Canucks lost the Sedins were! don't understand why Canuck fans don't notice that. Those two sucked when the games counted!!!!

    • @chiefmoe
      @chiefmoe 13 дней назад

      Agreed. Luongo was cursed in the road games in the Final. I still believe that had Cory started game 4 or game 6 in Boston, Canucks would have won it.

    i wish schnieds had gotten maybe just 1 game in the covid year so yah he could've tried to maybe see if he still had it and he backed up 8-10 games in 2022-2023 and i wish he had played maybe 1-2 of them for that same reason as well. I get they had varly and sorokin and they were good but what the isles did to schneids just wasn't right to me

    The Devils completely wasted Schneider's prime and when Taylor Hall carried them to the playoffs they acted like he didn't live up to expectations. Actually he did, only you decided to support him five seasons too late. Shame, Schneider was a great keeper no matter how his career ended.

      This is a weird comment. They didn't "choose" Lack over Cory. They had 2 number 1 goalies and couldn't afford it. They tried to trade Lu and nobody wanted him. Cory had a market and the return was pretty good. No revisionist history allowed here.
