🎉l have one coming here to CA, on Thursday, in lefty version, can’t wait!! It is also my first acoustic !! You are a very good player, and l wish l could play these songs by memory!! ( well l can play these songs by memory on drums, but not guitar!) l envy the guy who can pick up guitar on beach and play like you do!! 🎉

Own one and I truly think it's pretty incredible guitar! Actually way beyond the impression this video gives and so much so that I could bought a 300 series but in the end I chose the 224ce-K DLX

Just bought this one used. Pd 1k. 2021 version. You're not doing it justice without a nice microphone. The factory action is kind of high. Needs the neck reset and then it's a monster player!

Could not agree more on both points. I don't currently have a good acoustic mic, but I may try to mic up with an SM58 for kicks. Yes, the action is way high, and I will not mess with bridge adjustments on my own. I think I would start there before going to neck resetting. This is next on my list to take to the tech I frequent. Otherwise, a great instrument. You got yours for an amazing price BTW! Enjoy it.

@@digital360 My guy has been setting up for 30 years. Whatever he is gonna do I'll let him. First through fifth position feels perfect. It's the higher registers that slow me down. Either way...It's such a beauty and sooo mellow on the tone man!

Hey, Im really considering this guitar and Ive read that that koa guitars take some time, like year(s), to really open up. Have you experienced this with your guitar?
Also, nice playing. I cant come up with the last two songs you played. What are they? Thanks

Thanks for watching! Yes, I do feel like this guitar could sound just a tad brighter or more "open". It still sounds and plays great. I admit, this is my only acoustic so I cannot personally compare to others.
The last two songs - first one is something from Pink Floyd's The Wall, and the last short classical one is something I made up when I first started playing years ago.

Yes it does. I never realized that. Well, imitation is the sincerest form of flattery.

I'm seriously thinking about ordering one without the electronics.

I didn’t know these were offered in that configuration. I would do the same if I could since I never plug it in.

@@digital360 check Taylor's website, they will order it without the electronics and if you ever change your mind you can send it in and have electronics added.
