Hi wholeheartedly agree with your comment, two years ago I bought a 524, all mahogany Taylor guitar, fell in love with it, I was impressed with it. That today September 8 of 21, I’m ordering a Taylor 814 deluxe model.
Walked into my local guitar store and on the whole wall of acoustics you could immediately tell which ones were Taylors just by the stunning beauty of them.
I don't own a Taylor guitar, still I admire when people commited themselves to achieve perfection in any sense. I strongly reject products which are developed just to be sold. The guitar is to be owned, loved and enjoyed, thus perfection and innovation should be considered in all aspects. Nice post. Thanks for sharing.
Outstanding videos. Liked and subscribed. Used to live in SAT, now am 19 miles from the El Cajon factory. Bob is often on the local news. He is a great ambassador for music and conserving resources.
I visited the El Cajon plant in June. What a standard of excellence they have. They allowed us to take pictures anywhere except where the cutouts of the v-neck bracings were. In their showroom you could and were encouraged to play any of their models. Looking forward to owning a Taylor some day.
Just got my first taylor guitar, purchased a big baby taylor, love it, in about 10 year's im planning on getting a high end taylor, thanks for the great video.
What an unbelievably informative video! I went searching out Taylor guitars because I've always loved the size and aesthetics, then after hearing them in comparisons, I was really attached to the grand auditorium. I just bought new Taylor 414ce-V Class in a left hand model. The guitar features the new engineered V bracing. The I one got was in the sun burst it's absolutely gorgeous. I also own a Taylor -T5 in a red burst these are very different from one another. The sound on the V-Class is so beautiful I just can'r stop playing it. Thank you for your review.
I met Bob, in the early '80's, bought my T-3 IN El Cajon, in 2013. My friend who bought the T-3 has, 8 Taylor 12 strings, and I don't know HOW many of their 6 strings! All guaranteed for life!
I've had a 114ce for about 2 months now and I absolutely love it. The build quality is phenomenal for an £800 ($1000ish?) guitar. Frets were lovely and rounded, the nut was well cut and the finish is flawless. I've done about 15 gigs on it and the sound has been great. No crackle and great acoustic tone straight into the PA. The gig bag you get is decent too. Well padded and good stitching on the straps. The guitar came with elixer phosphorous bronze 12 gauge strings so I gigged it the day I bought it without restringing it. 10000% reccomend.
Not with my one. I am thinking about getting the action lowered a little on it. Barre chords seem a little harder than they used to be. Maybe my hands are getting weaker haha.
@@jamesmunro5368 Lower action would make the intonation worse around the 12th fret... the intonation is far from perfect as it is. But, it's wrong in a good way, because it's usually a bit under the correct pitch, so you can bend or push down harder to correct it a bit. But, thanks for the information. Mine is defective for sure then, I'll go change it tomorrow.
I just bought a beautiful Taylor not only is it stunning looking but it makes you want to play it, and it sounds awesome. I get compliments all the time
Have always been a Martin Guitar person - grew up in that area of PA. But after listening to this, and your many other videos, I might be ready for a Taylor!
First of all I can't thank you enough for your videos. I don't think I missed even one. I decided for my birthday in August I wanted to learn the guitar and have visited local stores and played many acoustic electric guitars, trying to decide on what I really love. The minute I picked up a Taylor 214ce dlx I was hooked. I waffled and tried to talk myself into a Yamaha (good too) but went back yesterday and I am the proud owner of the Taylor I mentioned above. I know loving what I have will make learning just that much better!! My only wish was that I could have gotten to San Antonio to Alamo Music but I'm in Northern California and I wanted to play my guitar prior to purchase. Thanks so much again for your knowledge and leading me to the guitar I was meant to have!
Hey Chris, thank you so much for your advice on Taylor Guitar, I just recently brought in 2022 a Taylor 214 ce and it plays like a gem. Im based down in the UK and mine is made in Tecate Mexico. I adore my 214ce Taylor. Thanks for the recommendation
Great video. I'm glad you remember the tune Bob Taylor played. It is mesmerizingly beautiful. When I buy a new acoustic it will most likely be a Taylor.
Hello from North-Eastern British Columbia in Canada! I'm a singer/songwriter and I presently drag a Roland keyboard to accompany myself at performances. I haven't played guitar much in the last 30 years but I thought of maybe going back to guitar. Much easier, and faster, to lug around and set up than a keyboard. So I walk into a music store looking for fiddle strings (You don't want to hear that one. Yet!) and my feet take me to the guitar display. Hmmm! Something I think I can afford so I pick up a Taylor Grand Concert with a rosewood back and sides, and I don't know what else. O.M.G! I am in love with the sound, the clarity, the resonance, the feel of it as if somebody knew exactly what I didn't know I needed and was looking for. I tried others but definitely came back to that Taylor and would have gone out with it if I wasn't paying down a new roof. But I'm going back when the roof is done! A Christmas present from Denise to Denise.
If I were not informed or familiar with Taylor guitars, your video may come across as marketing for Taylor.....BUT, for those familiar with Taylor and other guitar brands, the information in this video is factual, end of story. I have owned 12 Taylor guitars, and still own 5 that I'll never part with. I have meticulously educated myself on Taylor guitars for the past decade, and IMO Taylor has the most solid business model, efficient manufacturing process, highest quality control for mass produced guitars, and most ingenuities, than any other competitive large guitar manufacture. Andy is that next set of eyes, ears and hands to take Taylor guitars to that next generation. Bob has the foresight to think out of the box, not just as a business owner, and guitar maker, but as a contributor to the global society. The forestry efforts, utilization of product to minimalize waste, is amazing. In these areas there is no competition from other large guitar makers. Much respect and kudos to Taylor for not allowing themselves to be forced to remain within the box, they have set their own course. And thanks for pointing out all the good information in this video to educate those that don’t already know. Maybe see you in Fort Worth if you represent Alamo at the October guitar show.
I spent a couple hours playing a friends new Taylor today. It was awesome. Wish I could remember the model, seems like it was a 280 CK? He said there was only one model above it like a 290. Anyway, it played really nice and sounded great plugged in and unplugged. I really didn’t want to stop. I believe he said it was $4k. I won’t be gettin one anytime soon, but it was a pleasure. Edit: after watching the video I think it was an 814 CE.
Taylor is by far my favorite guitar. Bought an 810 about 20 years ago and fell in love. Since then I added a 72nce and 645ce. Also bought a GS mini for my grand daughter. I also own a Gibson Hummingbird and really like it but the Taylor s beat it hands down.
I tried a beat up Taylor Guitar 25 years ago shear by chance when I bumped into a busker on Brighton Beach, we passed each other, and it changed my life. Have wanted one ever since but the price begets it’s quality. The feel of the neck action is something I will never forget. You feel you could play for ever as the neck is so smooth and thin.
Me too. I went to 3 Shops, Played 21 Guitars - Purchased a 414ce-R - it Sounds & Plays Phenomenal. Better then my Ovation Black-Legend ( which is real nice ). I am really Impressed. oNe LovE from NYC
Great video, Chris. Nothing how knowing the story behind the product. I'm far from being a professional musician but, with the same honesty, I can say that I have a very sharp ear. The other day I was sitting outside in this bar courtyard, when the musician for the night started testing the sound with his guitar. I said to my friend: "That must be a Taylor". My friend then asked me, surprised: "Can you guess the brand of the guitar from its sound?". That moment I realized I needed to have one. Now the challenge is to find "The Perfect One". The one that is good enough to satisfy my old-man standards yet get the approval of my CFO (a.k.a. Wife). Your info was very useful. I will also look for that cutting board. Thanks again!
I haven't played in years. I've owned many of the big brands but never a Taylor. I want to get back to that special place you find when you're completely immersed and engaged. I'm looking at Taylor because I played one at one of the big retailers. I fell in love with the sound and playability. The satin finish was the perfect statement of elegance. After watching your vid, I'm all in. I hope to have my new Taylor in my hands in the coming weeks. Excellent presentation. A wealth of information. Thank you!
My AD22E Came with Aero case. Not hardshell case. That guitar was made in El Cajon, Ca. I thought it was odd because I bought a 214ce Trans Gray DLX and that had a hardshell case. I guess if you see DLX in description that means a hardshell case.
#1 When I get my first and last Taylor guitar not far off down the road. it will be the 814 Ce.Because I played 1 and fell in love with it. There is no looking back.
I'm from South Africa and bought my Taylor CE312 in 2000. It came with a hard case and was fitted with a Fishman pickup system. From day 1 the first string was noticebly softer when amplified and the late Andy McGibbon (a highly skilled luthier at the time) tried various methods (tricks) to fix this problem but without succsess. The guitar developed a crack on the back in the center at the glue joint and another about half an inch from the senter as well. Cracks is also starting to appear in the regions of the bindings on the front. Originally it was a satin finish but has worn to a total shiny finish over the years. The sound however has matured very nice over the 23 years I've own it.
Well, if my 214ce SB DLX was made in Mexico and the 314ce and 414ce that I passed on (because my new 214ce sounded BETTER) were made in America, call me a fan of Mexican products!! Great video! Long time drooler and now first time Taylor owner. Where do I get my cult ID card? ;)
Just purchased my very first Taylor last week. Traded an American Strat for a new GS Mini-E Rosewood. I was browsing acoustic guitars in a local store looking for a travel guitar. I had went there with the intention of picking up a Little Martin. Tried it, and it didn't play or sound as good as I'd hoped. I looked over and saw the Mini but was put off because of the priced difference between it and the Martin. It listed for $699 and the Martin was only $350. I had absolutely no intention of buying the thing, but decided I wanted to at least try it out just to see how it sounded. From the moment I picked the thing up I was blown away. I could not believe the massive, crystal clear tone that was coming out of this tiny little thing. The high strings sounded like bells chiming while the midrange notes were warm and woodsy sounding. The biggest thing that got me was the low notes. They hit you like a cannon. On top of the full, perfect tone.... the thing played like butter! Low action, perfect intonation and a neck that seemed to melt into my hand. I quickly changed my mind about grabbing a cheaper little travel guitar, and bought my Mini. Haven't regretted it once, and I play it every single day. I am now currently trying to decide which full size American Taylor I want to add to my collection. That's how I found this video. I'm a new Taylor fan and can't wait to add a few more to go with my Martin's! Thanks for the awesome video!
Great info, I knew I was buying a quality guitar when I chose my 314- CE V! Everytime I play my guitar, it always, puts a smile on my face coz of the sound, the looks and it's great craftsmanship!
I always enjoy your video's because you are very personal and enjoy what you are doing. You always have alot of information on the product that you are talking about, no bs,no hype or stupid jokes. Also you always represent the product with the price and the market that it was meant for very well.
Played several Taylor guitars. One for several years. The action on a Taylor just seems to make for ease of play. Yes... action can be set for most all better level guitars but for ease of play... a Taylor is just so smooth. The tone is very good and they can be played aggressively and not top out (the higher end ones). They sound better than most other acoustics in a live plugged in gig setting. So... after searching for exactly what I wanted... I bought a Martin D-28 Marquis. Frickin' LOVE it. Go figure.
Chris, you add humour to really informative videos, and it's greatly appreciated. I also want the TAB for that Andy Powers tune - I thought you'd written it yourself!
They have a free factory tour everyday so if you are in the San Diego area it is worth the visit. I only live 1.5 miles from the El Cajon factory so I've been there many times and own 2 Taylor Guitars. They are by the the best sounding guitars I own.
@@GingerTrev It's worth the visit. I really like watching them cut the tops and bottoms of the guitar using lasers. They have really instituted a lot of modern manufacturing into their assembly for quality control. Deering banjo is in the next town over, Spring Valley. They too have factory tours. They have a lot of really cool old metal working machinery. Banjos have a lot of metal parts.
My sister bought a made in Japan Sigma back in the '70's and gave it to me in 1987. Great guitar and I have been playing it ever since. Bought a 214ceDLX four years ago and boy do I love it. The sound really appeals to my ear and the playability all along the fretboard is just fantastic. The beloved Sigma gets very little use these days and I sometimes feel guilty; like I betrayed it somehow.
I had a japanese sigma 30 years ago not sure the year but i knew nothing about guitars at the time and an old buddy told me it wasnt a very good guitar so i sold it but i remember it sounded amazing. I wish i kept it. But i have an american made taylor now and i love it and its never going anywhere but to my daughter.
Thanks for all your reviews on guitars. I had a Taylor 710 CE many years ago. After Testing out Martins, Gibson's etc. I decided on Taylor. Had bills to pay so had to sell my Taylor, it was like my heart had been torn out of me. So now I am back to wanting another Taylor . This time I have your reviews to add to my decision. But in the end it will be trying them out till I find a perfect fit! Thanks again !
Thank you. My daughter, who owns many guitars recently told me that she wants a Taylor. Now I have made it my mission to buy her one. She no longer lives at home, so I am unable to casually ask her questions. If I call and questions, she will get suspicious that I want to get her one. Therefore thank you very much for this informative video. It is appreciated.
MisterTwister55 I finally bought one in March ‘18 and this vid was still interesting to me. I already knew a couple of the points but that’s alright. I absolutely love my Taylor; it’s the first acoustic I’ve owned that isn’t a cheap beater and it was long overdue (I’ve been at this guitar thing since 1984).
I have a Baby Taylor, a GS Mini-Mahogany, a 522-e 12 Fret, and a 610ce. I love all of them. My next Taylor will be a Koa of some kind, I just haven't decided what yet. They make great guitars.
@@bauchinjochim3835 I'm a professional musician, and have been for 30 years. As far as "Trying some variety" I've played every major guitar maker, and many Custom built guitars, so I know what I like and what I don't like. If you had any experience doing live shows or recording, for years, you would KNOW, that it's not always how a guitar sounds by itself, but WHERE IT SITS, IN A MIX. That is why I play Taylors. They are VERY BALANCED sounding. I also play Martins, and Gibsons. They all have a different voice, for a different purpose.
Came within a hairs breadth of buy-in a Taylor over the D-28 that I ended up buying. Their tone was brightern and had a wonderful clarity, but I chose the warmth of the Martin. Great guitars and I really applaud their environmental credentials in making tone wood production more sustainable. Maybe when I need something brighter I may just buy that Taylor, or maybe that Silky Oak Cole Clark, did anyone say Hummingbird.....
I’ve played a few Larrivees, and I was shocked each time how good they were. Seems somewhere between Taylor and Martin. Best sounding guitars I’ve played.
@@carlpeters5054 All GS mini's are Tecate. Damn good guitars. I have a GS mini Koa+ and a 414ce Custom. Yeah, the 414 is solid wood and an amazing guitar, but the GS mini steals my heart for sitting around comfortably. Taylor is consistent, no matter the factory.
@@sosublime6531 Well I'm still waiting. I'm living in Bolivia. So my Grandfather who lives in the United States ordered it for me and he will bring it with when he comes to visit us in Bolivia. I'm still excited.
I tried once a simple Taylor acoustic that was selling for 2k$ about 10 years ago. It was a lot of money for me at the time, but I never forgot the sound. I will try and find that guitar one day.
I am really enjoying your videos. Taylor is my go to acoustic guitar i own a 426ce-ltd and a K24ce builders edition . They both have such rich tone and are acoustically consistently consistent. They are my workhorses and carry yhe load of my acoustic sets. Thank you Bob Kurt and Andy.
Yes, I have 8 Taylor, none of which is currently available in the same configuration I bought. Every one redesigned in some form. That includes my 810 ce 2006 FLE, 816ce AP redesigned X bracing , and 814ce V-class Deluxe. Mine are all awesome! Also K26ce, 614 ce AP redesign X bracing, 510 1988 all acoustic, T5C1 Cherry sunburst, GS Mini Mahogany top GS Go pickup
Thanks again for all your great information. The thing that really hit home was the last thing you said about the greatest guitar being the one we are playing music on. Right on the money and something we need to remember. It's not a competition...it's just about making beautiful music, however we do it. That quote got me a bit emotional thinking about the guitar I've had for 10+ years as my workhorse that I'll be retiring for a new axe. I've never been closer to anything other than a lady, a little dog and my parents. It's important for me to remember that my inexpensive Breedlove took me a very all over the country as a performer. I can't forget that just because I purchase a new one with a fuller sound and believe that thought to be very important. God bless brother....great, fun and very informative.
Chris, here’s #11: Bob Taylor announced recently that he is turning ownership of the company to the employees and plans to gradually retire. This might make a major difference since employee-owned companies tend to put out more consistent quality products.
Thanx for the great video, I ended up with a Taylor 314ce grand autorium. Best acoustic I've ever owned. Here's a fun fact, it's made in my home town of El Cajon CA. Fabulous guitar I 💞 it. Thanx again Alamo Music😊
Not gonna lie, I'm a Taylor fanboy. Love the way they look, how comfortable they are to play and their distinct trebley sound. I own a 414ce-r, a GS Mini and a baby Taylor. Got my eye on the 912ce builder's edition in the wild honey burst. One day.
I love Taylor Guitars I had 910ce &Dan Crary Model sadly I had to sell them to buy the rent 16yrs ago One day buy another Taylor. That tune you finger picking sound like a Celtic melody can't remember which one of hand. Remind me of Scottish tune called Skye Boat Song
Chris, you are a class act. I always enjoy watching your videos alone or with Cooper. I am always blown away by how much you know about every aspect of guitars! Oh, and the name of that song is "I Don't Know"! (Just kidding) Oh and one more thing... You and I are built very similar and I'm pretty impressed at how well your wide hands and short finger navigate around the necks of the various guitar that you review, I'm not so talented as you are. Thanks Chris.
Hi, I have a Taylor 520 for all mahogany, bought it two years ago love it so much and its play ability, that as of today September 8 of 21 I’m ordering a Taylor 814 deluxe model.. If anybody has a Taylor 814, let me know what you guys think about it.
11) If you have a Taylor, with their case, be careful when removing your guitar from it. They have a habit of chomping down on the guitar before you get it out of the case. I have some "bite marks" in my guitar because of it. And while I don't really mind, those first "bites" hurt a bit. LOL I have seen others mention this issue as well. I think it has to do with the strap that holds the lid open being a tad short? If it was about a 1/4 inch longer the lid would lean back just a tad, and not fall forward. 12) Taylors are VERY comfortable. I was having shoulder issues playing my standard dreadnaught guitar. And I am a big guy, so thought it would not be a problem. But something about the shoulder angle wasn't working for me. But Taylors just melt into your body and NO shoulder issues. It has to do with the shape, not just dimensions. And the necks... awesome! My go to guitar is my Taylor 314ce Ltd, and I have never felt that I needed "more guitar". It's just amazing. Cheers!
Hi there! I'll start by saying I've been playing Yamaha guitars since I was 9 years old, great guitars for sure! Last summer I took my son to a music store they had a great selection of instruments, and my son plays the guitar as well. I started teaching him when he was 11. He showed me the room full of acoustics, I picked up a Tayler it was a 3.000 dollar guitar I plugged it in and, WOW it was beautiful just amazing. I want to buy one now and, because I've been playing for 28 years, and I'm an aggressive player! Blues, Flat picking, classic rock and some folk. I want a guitar i can really play. This one was defiantly one I could play all day! I just can't remember the model. I don't want to play cheap 200 dollar guitars anymore, I'm better than that! I feel in my heart this was the perfect guitar for me! Any advice would be apricated very much. Thanks!
The neck adjustment is why the 1990's taylor as known as the golden age because they finally got things right, had amazing wood, and the neck was set traditionally making the sound the best

I just bought a beautiful Taylor not only is it stunning looking but it makes you want to play it, and it sounds awesome. I get compliments all the time
The most important thing is when a guitar inspires you to play it
Have always been a Martin Guitar person - grew up in that area of PA. But after listening to this, and your many other videos, I might be ready for a Taylor!
Taylor has some great guitars! You wont be disapointed!
Maaaan I don't get why people like Martin guitars. They're practically unplayable to me. Get yourself a Taylor trust me
@@SkyLukewater different tastes
Hi, do you still play the 214ce? I want to buy one? Many thanks, Suzanne.
Yes that is still my favorite guitar!! So easy to play, stays in tune, beautiful finish!!@@Suzanne2909
Just bought the US made Taylor 314ce LTD. It looks, feels, plays and sounds wonderful.
Congrats!! what differences do you notice in the LTD versus the standard?
I've had Taylors, Martins, Takamine and Ovation and the Taylors to me sound the best and are the most playable. Each to their own.
I have an old ovation seventies model. The older it gets the better it sound.
Gazza-in-the-usa try Larrivée my friend
Ovation!🤣
Try a Martin with a "performance taper" neck. It is OUTSTANDING
Try Eastman, Maton..😁
I’ll be in Fort Worth. Be sure to stop by. ;) -Chris
Sir, you are the authority when it comes to what guitar company is the best.
I salute you.
I already have a Taylor - I am here to uplift my Positive Confirmation Bias 🙌😊🎶 Great Video BTW.
Love that!
Great comment!
Probably an 800 series as only the 900 has a better choice of Rosewood.
I bought my dream guitar: a k24 builders edition from you guys almost a year ago... easily my favorite guitar ever. Thanks for the great video!
Bought a K26 two years ago and it is fire!
Nice! I’ve just bought one and waiting for it to arrive. Only had Martin guitars previously 000’s
Good for you getting that Granddaughter started.
I just bought a 414ce and love it! It is absolutely beautiful!
me too, special ed custom, it's a beast!
Me too. I went to 3 Shops, Played 21 Guitars - Purchased a 414ce-R - it Sounds & Plays Phenomenal. Better then my Ovation Black-Legend ( which is real nice ). I am really Impressed. oNe LovE from NYC
Just bought my first real guitar. I’m old but new to playing. Bought a Academy 12e to learn on and I love it
Got my new Taylor a few weeks ago. Really love it. thanks for the excellent video.
I have 4 Taylors and absolutely love them all. Great video, thank you.
True love!
Only Taylor I bought that I could afford, was a 210e deluxe. It's a Awesome playing and Sounding guitar! Mexican Made with Awesome Quality..
Invaluable. I am in the market and learned quite a lot from this video. Thanks!
I always enjoy your video's because you are very personal and enjoy what you are doing. You always have alot of information on the product that you are talking about, no bs,no hype or stupid jokes. Also you always represent the product with the price and the market that it was meant for very well.
Thanks! Love your store and visit every time I'm in SA
Thank you! Appreciate that!
No one does better reviews on the web than Chris McKee. Well done.
Go figure.
As I Iook around my studio I believe in Taylor also - Sea Turtle, T5 Koa, 12 string, GS koa and they are amazing.
I’m a beginner and also a left handed. I bought a used Big Baby Taylor. It’s awesome guitar . 👍🏻
I have a 2004 Taylor 110. I've recorded quite a bit with that guitar, and it never disappoints.
Chris, you add humour to really informative videos, and it's greatly appreciated. I also want the TAB for that Andy Powers tune - I thought you'd written it yourself!
My first good guitar? BBT LH. Yep! I'm a southpaw. That guitar sounds so good, it impressed guys at a weekly bluegrass guitar jam I went to.
They have a free factory tour everyday so if you are in the San Diego area it is worth the visit. I only live 1.5 miles from the El Cajon factory so I've been there many times and own 2 Taylor Guitars. They are by the the best sounding guitars I own.
I was in San Diego last year... wish I'd have known this!!
If I'm ever back out that way I'll make sure to take a visit!
I just bought my 324CE Builders Edition and its phenomenal!
I have two Taylor guitars. An 855 from two decades ago, and a 10 year old 8-string baritone. Both are great instruments😎
The beloved Sigma gets very little use these days and I sometimes feel guilty; like I betrayed it somehow.
how do you like the pickup in it? i’ve heard really bad things about the es2 pickup
One of the few guitar brands i’d be happy playing or owning any model.
That's it right here. From the mini Baby on up. Taylor guitars deliver.
I watched your demo on the 414CE-R,,, great sounding guitar,, and Yes I am shopping for an new Taylor ,,, thank you for your videos
Came here before buying a Taylor. I now own a 214ce Dlx that i absolutely love.
Oooh... I bought one too! Ltd Ed figured Ovankol back and sides. It's a beaut😊
I hope you were able to find her the perfect guitar and that she loved it. What a sweet dad.
Fantastic video! Definitely helped with my next big acoustic guitar purchase. Take care!
Great video...thanks for posting. I own a Taylor 2009 Fall Special Edition Cocobolo. My guitar is a "true piece of art and backs it up with sound."
Very cool!
Your reviews are so helpful, Chris. Thank you for the work you put into this.
You should mention to folks who might be looking to buy a used guitar that early Taylor guitars were made in Lemon Grove, Ca.
already bought one and i love it. should i watch it?
MisterTwister55 I finally bought one in March ‘18 and this vid was still interesting to me. I already knew a couple of the points but that’s alright. I absolutely love my Taylor; it’s the first acoustic I’ve owned that isn’t a cheap beater and it was long overdue (I’ve been at this guitar thing since 1984).
I have a Baby Taylor, a GS Mini-Mahogany, a 522-e 12 Fret, and a 610ce. I love all of them. My next Taylor will be a Koa of some kind, I just haven't decided what yet. They make great guitars.
dude, are you a musician or an instrument collector? try some variety.
The one you have on your lap looks just right for me!!
Where can I get that?
Mr. McKee is a phone call away...
I own a Taylor GS Mini and I absolutely love it. Martins are great, but I'm a Taylor fan boy through and through.
I recently bought a GS mini too. I didn't get it yet. I would like to know if your GS mini is also made in Mexico.
@@sosublime6531 Thank you very much for the information. 👍🏽
@@carlpeters5054 Of course! I saw you already ordered it, how are you liking it?
Been to the factory twice and it is really worth the visit to El Cajon if you are in California!
They really give you a great tour!
Good to know!
You're such a Taylor fan boy! (me too)
Bought a used one today, 1999 514ce with no electronics. In very very good condition. Super happy with it.
Taylors are wonderful guitars, and just as you say, consistently good. I still have my first guitar, a Taylor 110.
Bought a Taylor 410CE in 1998. Still have it. Love it.
Chris, here’s #11: Bob Taylor announced recently that he is turning ownership of the company to the employees and plans to gradually retire. This might make a major difference since employee-owned companies tend to put out more consistent quality products.
Thank you! I just ordered a Taylor mini. This was very informative!
They make Gabriella Quevedo smile... that's good enough for me!
Thanx for the great video, I ended up with a Taylor
314ce grand autorium. Best acoustic I've ever owned. Here's a fun fact, it's made in my home town of El Cajon CA. Fabulous guitar I 💞 it. Thanx again Alamo Music😊
Very nice video. Thanks! currently considering a taylor 214 or 314.
Taylor Guitars Are So Freakin Awsome
I Want One So Freakin Bad
Not gonna lie, I'm a Taylor fanboy. Love the way they look, how comfortable they are to play and their distinct trebley sound. I own a 414ce-r, a GS Mini and a baby Taylor. Got my eye on the 912ce builder's edition in the wild honey burst. One day.
Do Taylor guitars, hold up well in dry air?
I love Taylor Guitars I had 910ce &Dan Crary Model sadly I had to sell them to buy the rent 16yrs ago
One day buy another Taylor. That tune you finger picking sound like a Celtic melody can't remember which one of hand.
Remind me of Scottish tune called Skye Boat Song
What Taylor would be best or easier to play if you have arthritis or carpal tunnel but still want to play some. At 63 I need help
You are amazing and a great speaker and creator.
Bonus: your guitar playing is incredible and a joy to listen to!
The tune you play is an adaptation of a tune by Mark Knopfler called "Darling Pretty". That said it has elements of quite a few of his Celtic tunes.
I've got a 114e and it sounds great, definitely won't be my last Taylor.
Glad to hear it!
Cheers!
Just got a gs mini. Sapele quilted it's great. 750$ but worth every penny.the tone and sound on it by simply messing around is insane.
